As I said in another thread, his entire managerial career has taken place in Saudi Arabia and China. He would be bloody lucky to end up with a job in the Championship.

They've got a hotshot striker called Catetto, I think - could be worth a punt.

He’s tactically awful having followed his career In management. Relies on individual brilliance in the final third; rather than any consistent patterns of play. Idea of him is nice, but he’s not very good

I mean, don't get me wrong - I'm both glad, and understanding of why he wouldn't. But at the same time - what a fuccking liberty! Mr Worldwide (except any part where even semi-decent football is played) isn't interested in a Premier League job? Giggs-levels of delusional.

The only thing that could be is that having been interviewed for the Everton job, presuming he hasn’t heard back yet, he might be saying that because naturally that would be his favoured job. He might not want to sound like a bit of a whore while that’s in the balance.

 

I hope he goes to Everton they might actually be serious contenders for the last relegation place if he goes there. They were **** with Ancelotti and Rafa Benitez I can't see a manager with an average record in China doing much better to be honest with you.

 

Yeah, a fair point - him being under consideration for the Everton job is insane enough.

 

Feel sorry for whoever gets the job. There are far tastier poisoned chalices than ours.

That’s nothing new though, we’ve never appointed a manager in work. Gino doesn’t mind paying the compo to sack them, but he doesn’t like paying the compo to get them in the first place. Buy cheap buy twice (or about 57 times and counting) springs to mind.

 

Plenty of managers will happily take the job, they just won’t be any good. That’s why we’re on the state we’re in.

 

Really depends on what people class as high-profile? Name? Pedigree?

Whether we as fans agree, the table says that it’s nowhere near a lost cause yet. And the owner, ignoring all his own deficiencies, will take that view and try and appoint accordingly. By that, I mean he isn’t going to appoint another inexperienced cheerleader like Xisco. Not in the Premier League when he feels we can survive.

That said, returning to my first point - to many, Diego Martinez wouldn’t be seen as a high-profile figure. But Gattuso would. But I know who the better manager is…

 

Getting sacked by Watford won’t ruin anyones reputation.
