Think it was Swansea in the QF(?) and Brighton in the SF....

Missed 5-0 as was playing Uni football in those days

Went to the FA Cup game - I think they had John McCalle stretchered off with what turned out to be a broken leg and had already made a sub, so went down to 10 men, but we had battered them before that anyway. Poskett 2 and Luther I believe, when Luther was doing his stint in midfield ? Dishy Des was commentating for MotD

Watched the 2-1 in a bar in Turkey as was on holiday with my lad and some random Horn who also turned up

I looked at the squad from a recent ‘on this day’ Facebook post by the club where we beat Everton. Deeney was still mobile(ish), Deulofeu, Pereyra, Richarlison, Capoue, Docoure, and Holebas from memory.

We also had Chalobah and Hughes at that time.

Wolves v Watford in recentish years always conjures up memories of the entire day for the semis at Wembley, Forestieri's play acting to get Sako sent off and, on a darker note, poor Nic Cruwys which could have been any one of us that travels away

I remember the 5-0 game. I think Mighty Mo scored a hat trick

I was at the 79/80 cup game. Their fans were going apoplectic as we didn't just beat them; we completely overran them. I'm sure Emlyn Hughes was almost crying when Luther made it 3-0!

  8. Astonishingly, we've scored 3 more than Wolves this season.

Don't worry - that would of been sorted out in their favor by 21.30-ish tonight.

Feeling very flat about this game tonight. Expecting a boring game where wolves walk all over us and plod to a 2-0 win with us not laying a finger on them until the last 5 minutes where we have a sniff at goal but blaze it over or produce a powder puff shot from Cleverley.

Wolves a bit out of sorts. 0-0 would not shock me tonight.

I too feel the same. I've never had this feeling of just simply not caring that much about the game tonight or for the rest of the games for the remainder of the season.

It's quite clear our fate is sealed but I didn't feel this level of complete nothingness in 1999/2000 or 2006/2007 when relegation was on the horizon.

I hope my mindset changes in July when the EFL season starts.

That's probably because 99/00 we had GT in charge - and yes our squad was full of more-or-less League One players, but they tried each game and gave us a few brilliant wins. Liverpool, Chelsea. 06/07 was more or less doomed to failure when Marlon King was injured. We had on O.K squad that season but we were never good enough. However I did enjoy those two seasons overall - looking back it's quite amusing now seeing Foster getting beaten by Paul Robinson from a Goal Kick.

A win would see us draw level with Everton albeit played more games but we've had this sort of chance before and blown it so your probably right!

I honestly can't remember who my boo boy was back then, but you're damn right I would have had one (or more). The manager was one, obv.

Who in their right mind would go tonight? You must literally have nothing else going on in your life to attend.

Why don't we ever wear our beautiful green kit? This club never fails to find new ways of disappointing me.

It sold out from the club shop before the first team could actually get their hands on any.

Dearie me. Josh King comes back to claim his guaranteed spot in the side despite posing zero goal threat, and even worse, Tom Cleverley starts after his horror show performance against Arsenal.

Why is Cleverly starting over Kalu? Roy continues to bemuse so many.

And now JP is out with what is effectively an 'injury' too - in the famous words of RC, just ******* lol.

    And Cleverley, of course.

The only reason I could think of is that it blends in with the pitch making the players harder to see? Clutching at straws I know.

    Why Cleverley?
Not too bothered about King over Kalu as we can't actually be sure Kalu is better than him. But why not Etebo for Cleverley?
