Pearson's checklist for new signings;

Is he from a big Prem club?
Is he under 22 and woefully short of match experience?
Is he unfit/injury prone?
Could I easily rub him up the wrong way?
Will it be a loan with a 'view to a permanent deal'?
Can he be easily removed from possession of the football by a bigger boy on the opposing team?

If the answer to all these questions are yes, then he is signed.

As far as deals this summer, removing the likes of Beckford, Danns and St Ledger are important in terms of making sure we meet the new FFP rules by not making a loss of over £8mil. Replacements won't be bank busting deals, most likely freebies, youngsters and loans where we don't pay 100% of their wages.

In a way I'm disappointed that the Schmeichel to Hull rumours have cooled, it was a chance to make a big profit on him.

So in a roundabout, verbose way, I'm saying we're shagged unless we continue to **** off the players that dear old uncle Sven signed.

 

Would you like Carl ****inson on loan? We'd be happy to loan him to you for free.

Its a big old pile of balls mate. Warnock was in the frame for the job about 6/7 years ago, but there was such outrage from Leicester fans that it didn't go ahead. Its a long story and goes back years but he isn't popular in Leicester. I would have a had him then, wouldn't now.

Pearson won't go now, we can't afford to sack him and there's very little out there in terms of replacements. I speculated that there may be a clause to get rid if he failed to get us up last season, but that would have been invoked by now if it existed.

If any newspaper is having a slow football news day, they come out with something regarding the current Leicester manager losing his job.

 

Cheers for clearing that up, sounded far-fetched. So you basically won't be spending much this summer? I see you linked with a £3m-£8m for a player every other day!

 

Just easy stories, a few of our fans see the rumours and they gather pace, then everyone else hears yet another story regarding 'big-spending' Leicester and it fuels the dislike. Its a vicious circle.

 

Warnock's side that got promoted in 2011 got promoted in a very different championship to last seasons. Granted he wasn't backed with funding, but I think he was really, really found out last year.

If that's true, how amazing a season can be. Last summer he was basically demanding a move away from Norwich for a mid-table prem club... 1 season wonder in the top flight.

So less than four weeks before the new season kicks off, Pearson has come out and said that no incoming deals are on the cards.

So this means another year of no backup in midfield, one fit and consistent centre half and Paul Koncheskey constantly facing the wrong way.

 

I am beginning to feel sorry for non-Watford fans now. Not sure if that makes me empathetic or precocious. Yeah, it's precocious no need to tell me.
