Keys and Gray sexist rant: Andy Gray now Sacked

Given that Sky are now rolling out their zero tollerance stance on this sort of behaviour I wonder how tight the Soccerette's shorts are going to be this Saturday?

I think they've been targeted, and someone's been after them for a while. Think about it, so many people have horror stories about how these 2 have treated people who are working with them, from new employees on set to established cameramen for example, even in this thread we've heard about the absloute arrogance that Andy Gray showed somebody. If you've been doing that for the last 20 years, then eventually one of those people who you've treated like dirt is going to be in a position of power at Sky Sports.

The common misconception is that the microphone was left on by mistake, it wasn't, the audio is quite clearly recorded on something kept in a pocket, like a phone. For the ungaurded, it wouldn't have taken long to say something off camera that would have caused a storm as this has. They were targeted and it was just a matter of time.

I used to play football with a guy who was a cameraman on a well known Sky football show. He told me some shocking stories of the way a certain well known Sky presenter used to treat them all and how he'd love to get one over on this person one day. That presenter has wisely moved on before the exact same scenario happens to him, (in my opinion ).

 

Totally agree mate, I think there could be several more 'recorded incidents' coming out over the next few weeks.
Its still a good thing though, 20 years of those two is more than enough.

Ps, how Keys can state 'someone should teach her the offside rule' is laughable when he stands there looking like a *** in a trance while Gray witters on about aspects of the game on 'The last word'

 

I agree Admin. The sexism thing is a red herring; this is about treating people, male or female with respect. Clearly the pair of them have upset a number of colleagues who have been saving evidence.

 

Tell your mate they do great burgers in the C&H, Ricky.

 

I'd like to buy the person who unveiled the clips a pint. Actually, I'd like to go on a fully blown night out to show them just how grateful I am that I dont have to watch those two brown nose ****s on the box anymore.

I never thought I'd agree with Jeremy Clarkson!


He added: "We try very hard on Top Gear not to be sexist. We don't ever say that women can't park or drive, that would be ludicrous.

"If a man wants to think that, that's fine. You should be allowed to think what you think."

Clarkson said he did not feel pressure to include more women on the programme.

"We don't feel under pressure. I just think, 'we've got a guest', and if it's a man it's a man and if it's a woman it's a woman."

James May added that half of the Top Gear production team were women.


This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes, meanwhile, said "there's banter and there's crossing the line".

Regarding the video with Charlotte Jackson, which apparently is the main reason behind Andy Grays sacking. She is laughing/smiling after he says it, then it pans to her and she is talking to someone else.

I thought the charlotte jackson clip was pretty funny, i really doubt she wakes up in the morning and wishes she was a man so could get further in her career as a respected jounalist, the main reason shes got the job is her looks.



the comment about the lineswoman was just sexist and ignorant. She probably knows much more about football than andy gray, ****.

Yep, they're football-crazy in Qatar - and of course they like women to be kept in their place (not that I'm prejudiced against the Gulf States, obviously, or indeed any foreigners at all....)

 

Played a game of FIFA 2010 a few days ago and burst out laughing when Andy Gray says how much he loves his job, watching fantastic football for free!

Great shout! Knew there were more perks to Andy Gray getting sacked lol. Now just hope Clive Tyldesley gets overheard saying something derogatory and i will be able to watch football a happier man!
