Keys and Gray sexist rant: Andy Gray now Sacked

I also saw this lino when I went to West Ham vs Barnsley.

 

Absolutely, totally stupid comments by Gray and Keys.

But I certainly don't care. Not one tiny little bit.

Cant believe that Sian Massey has been dropped from the game she was supposed to be officiating tonight between Crewe and Bradford. I would have preferred to have just carried on to show she hasn't been affected by the comments.

 

Unless she asked to be removed? Maybe she feels to much of the limelight will be on her tonight.

It would not surprise me if there was a resignation from Keys coming.

 

Good, they are both woeful commentators, woeful presenters and arrogant, tedious people.

Disregarding all of this sexism lark, they were shyte at their job and unless Redknapp takes over the hot seat(s) football coverage just got a lot better.

 

You can't do that in the workplace. Why was he still there?

 

I thought Andy Gray was rather good at his job - but I still think he had to go, and maybe Sky wasn't too unhappy to have the chance to freshen their team up after 20 years.

ANDY GRAY. In future, remember that understanding employment conduct rules is probably more important than the offside rule.

 

If having women ref in football has lead to Andy Gray getting sacked then for me its not worth having women in football.

Is football at all levels having problems finding enough refs, or not? Is roughly half the population female? Does it make snese to halve the potential talent pool?

 

From all the clips i have seen i dont think his actions are that bad. All of the stuff he has said was off camara. If he said what he said live then sack the guy, but he was just gulity of having a view tongue in cheek comments while off air.

This stuff goes on in every workplace. Its just banter between male colleagues. The reaction, and Gray being sack is just way over the top. I hate how pc, and pathetic this country and the public is in general. If it was women being sexist about men, nothing would be said of it.


Its the Russell Brand & Jonathon Ross all other again. The public get offended because they feel they should.

 

He accused a woman of being unfit for her job because she was a woman, and he essentially went to that other woman 'while you're down there love... hurr durr hurr durr'.

Oh no the ultra PC brigade are out, how dare they try and prevent obvious sexism in workplace.

He is a prize ******* anyway, I don't know why anyone cares. Arrogant, biased, tedious and dull football coverage.

 

But say she'd given a touch and go decision during the match? It's clear they wouldn't have been able to be objective in their analysis of it based on their off-air comments. I want Gray's opinion based on his football knowledge not his bigotry.

 

Gray bores the life out of me, but sacking him is ludicrously over the top. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and his is that women shouldn't be in the game. A lot wouldn't agree with him but it is still his opinion. Where he is stupid is that the conversation should have been had over a pint somewhere and without a camera/microphone/all sorts of other recording equipment around him.
