Say what you want, but we have absolutely nailed the art of playing out-of-form sides back into form.

We are by-far-and-away the best in the country at it. No one comes close.

He did then add...."but we didn't".

A bit odd to effectively concede at HT and just try not to let more in. I suppose that explains Foster's time-wasting and when we got a free kick halfway into their half, passing it backwards 20 yards.

Bit like when he took Louza off at the weekend and said ‘we were 3-1 down and wanted to save him for Thursday’

Loves a white flag does Roy.

I wasn't talking about Kiko though. I was talking specifically about Cleverly and Cathcart on a thread about Cleverly and Cathcart. Don't worry about missing the point though.

Be as shocked as you want, but I disagree. I see a team that is massively short of confidence, is too old & consequently not hungry enough, too error prone, too poorly integrated, lacking depth or balance or identity, playing a system that hasnt worked all season and being led by a fairly disinterested manager thats stuck in his ways & whose only here because it beats sitting at home talking to the wife.

As for Kiko, was he self subbed? I only have the 3cr commentary to go on and from what I caught it sounded more like the decision wasnt his and he wasnt too happy about it?

Roys tenureship at Watford in a nutshell. Would rather protect a 2-1 deficit then try to to win the game.

No, Kiko started limping not long after Wolves got their third. Then started signaling to the bench and got his sub a few minutes later.

At least you didn’t have far to go and could spend the rest of your evening watching something decent on the box.

I’m sorry for criticising you earlier for being over-pessimistic - what you said about the team and what would happen against Brighton was pretty much spot on (apart from them keeping us at arm’s length - we didn’t even manage to make them do that!). I really thought we’d push on after a reasonable start under Hodgson performance-wise, but we’ve just got worse and worse, a couple of unconvincing away results apart.

I mean, you weren’t, because you said many times that you drew the line at the players getting such abuse and it should only be reserved for the owner etc.

So, I’ll ask a different way - would you agree that it would be fair to call Kiko a coward for crying off the pitch once again when the going got tough?

  16. Pukey

No I was talking about Cathcart and Cleverly. My point was that they don't shy away, play each week yet they are clearly are out of their depth. It's not their fault they haven't been replaced. Hence why the owners should be rightly lambasted for it.

In regards to Kiko, I don't know I didn't watch the game tonight and I'm not going to watch the highlights either. If he was crying, my first concern would be to see if he's alright rather than calling him a coward.

I hope my answers help you sleep at night.

Thats got the 1881 written all over it.

Trying to make an atmospheric environment, whilst being better at yelling at their own fans than singing out loud.

If rather say that all our fans are quiet than have such a pathetic “singing” section.

Well supporters can vote with their feet, stop buying merchandise, and if they come into contact with anyone remotely connected to the club, then they can pass on their own personal message to be delivered to the powers that be. They will only take notice if their precious revenue streams are threatened.

Ray had his favourites and at times it clouded his judgement. Couldn't have seen him playing Ashley Young as much as Boothers did after taking over.

I have not seen the game, all I know is that we were three down after 20 mins, also that Cucho scored an OG and Foster gave away another goal by kicking it straight to an apposing player who put it straight back into a wide open goal.

I have to say that even my faith is slipping a little after tonight, but having said that I still have not given up hope and will not do so until it is mathematically impossible for us to stay up!!!

    WE CAN STILL DO THIS

At least that would mean not having to watch that tedious pain in the arse disc jokey from 3CR gives us his opinions and inflict his "humour" on us like at the end of last season.

We spent minutes 20-45 looking dejected, hoping it would only be 3-0. What should have happened is a rallying cry to try and get back in at half time at 3-1.

Minutes 46-90 were spent preserving energy and goal difference, giving no support to the forwards. There was no spirit for even 30 seconds of it.

We had time to get a goal back and make wolves concerned, it was clear that was never on Roys radar.

Like losing the first set in tennis and then not bothering in the 2nd and 3rd. Or losing 3 frames of snooker and then trying to play safe whilst not potting anything in the 4th. Or rather being instructed by your negative coach not to do so.

Same v Arsenal. A game we were in at 3-1 but never really commited to getting back.

I've seen us play worse this season but never so depressingly negatively and despondently. Theres no fire and Roys antiquated methods are the reason why.

Thought we had a couple of efforts but probably not saying much I guess.

Never going to be all out attack - not Roy's style.

Even more so against a team like Arsenal when we cannot keep the ball well enough.

I agree though we should be looking to at least a goal back or two even just for a bit of confidence and the goal difference.

We basically gifted them a 3-0 lead really without Wolves having to work hard.

Thats not my issue. I have a problem with the meek acceptance of it all after we've conceded 3. Not necessarily the fact we conceded three which is typical of our error strewn season. Trying to draw the second half is a ******* joke.

Switched off at 3-0, can only feel for the people who made the trip tonight, that must have been ******* miserable.

What is it with the squad and playing (fairly) well against the big teams (and still losing), and then not bothering to turn up against the beatable ones?

From what I did see, it's increasingly cruel of Roy to continue to start Cleverley when he's so out of form. His legs are going/gone and now his confidence is rock bottom. Bizarre squad management.

Yeah Tom had the worst accurate passing percentage out of the whole team last night, even worse than Dennis which is seriously difficult to do. There's no benefit to him being in the team but Roy clearly has his favourites and sticks with them.
