DAY 2 - Werewolf 2018

Diamond didn't know anymore than the rest of the non 'special' players though. All he would have known for sure was that he was good. Unless I missed something, he didn't have any more insight than that.

 

Diamonds comments? So far it's only been Meh accusing (with no sound evidence whatsoever) I believe?

The reason I suggested the above as it is a fact that Meh was out for one reason or another... could be the Harlot... or something else!

There is literally not one fact close to linking me to any evil doing.

 

Good point. May suggest why the dialogue resulted in the note not being decipherable though?

 

If you look at the messages and the votes split you'll see quite a few people accusing. I was probably a little more vocal as I knew my fate was in my own hands as long as I wasnt lynched.

 

This. I skim read the posts on the thread after the end of day last night and there was someone who suggested I led the voting on Diamond, which is patently untrue. I was very clear that I had no firm convictions about Diamond, but we have to vote and unfortunately he was, on the balance of probability, slightly more likely than any other to be evil and if not, we'd hopefully learn something from the messages by killing of people who are named and thus finding out their goodness or evilness.

It's pretty ruthless as a tactic, but eventually in this game, you have to hang a few villagers in order to find the wolves.

Only one wolf kill last night really tips the odds in our favour.

Does that imply therefore that Meh has to be the Harlot, (confusing with me being a Strumpet) as previously stated or are we missing any other possibilities about why he would've been out at the time of the attempted kill? Wolves can still accidentally kill each other, right? He wouldn't have been out killing if he was the other wolf. He'd have just had his victim and then got killed after.

 

Right, and your voting for WAS was justified by what, exactly?

 

I was the Harlot last game and had this role. Didn't get found out til late on. It's a Good role where you get to stay with another person for a night. If you stay with a Traitor or Wolf you die or if you stay with a targeted and unprotected person.

 

I think Squibba has played this game a few times before. However, if I was a wolf, I'd be looking for situations like that to exploit and frame someone. Perfect tactics from a good wolfie.

In previous games, it's been the latter - the wolf has been killed on their way back after their own successful kill. I've missed a lot of recent games, but I'd have thought the game would work better this way around, otherwise the wolves couldn't kill each other, which would be a little unfair.

 

Ah right, cheers - so we know Meh is good and essentially just has to stay with the guardian or avoid the wolf to stay alive as long as possible.

 

We know that he was not trying to deceive or manipulate, so his insight can be trusted more than anyone else’s.

 

This is confusing the hell out of me. When I ran the game we had wolves, traitor and seer. Now we've got tinker, tailor, soldier, sailor and Chalobah role!

 

Pretty much. While it would put a target on him on any other role, because he can move around means he's in less danger than others. However it's also unfortunately means that the Wolf knows not to choose him and waste a target. If they're experienced they would know this already.

 

In previous games any wolf on wolf action resulted in the alpha wolf killing the beta no matter who targeted who.

Yeah and he voted for himself. I'm not sure he was playing with a full deck, if you get my drift.

 

Surely he doesn't have to stay with the Grauniad? Just has to stay with any character who isn't a wolf each night.

 

That or a traitor.

 

Being crystal clear about this ensures the wolves don’t make the same mistake again but doesn’t really help the village.

 

At that stage , we had guests foisted on us at that time the only person who hadnt posted was With a smile that was the only reason .

Meh could state who he is staying with and the Guardian can protect that person. Would mean the Guardian saves two people in one night.

The risk still stands though, he picks the wrong person and hes dead.

Think I'm better off keeping quiet and keeping a list. The guardian can only protect people once so gives the wolves an easy kill the next night.

Even so, you were far too active to be a wolf, hence why I said you were probably Good. Maybe the Guardian agreed with me.

You are in a unique position at the moment, the only confirmed Good player and one that can't be targeted easily by the wolves. If you stick to what you know over the next couple of days without the silly theories, you'll help Team Good no end. You'll be able to spot the wolves and traitors earlier than others as you'll see when they are pushing people towards people you know are good.

Don't muddy the water with speculation and conspiracy theories is my advice.

Great work Guardian! So far facts are Meh is definitely GOOD and we're still unclear as to which of the anonymous messages came from who yesterday right?

 

This is fascinating watching from outside the game. Better than a Silent Witness mini-series. Barely spoke to the wife last night while trying to keep up. Still totally confusing though.

 

My meeting got delayed but about to start now, so far no messages.

 

If I was the seer I’d make sure I mentioned who I saw yesterday in today’s message.

The wolf is less likely to do that.
