I swear Daft Row is always the unlucky one. Tinker twice, then made the only viewed figure. That writing style doesn't seen Seer like to me.

What was the exact time otter posted the first message? That is, was the second message received by otter before or after that?

I wouldn't focus on message style, just facts.

 

Not muddying the water. Genuinely only skipped through the rules. I'll go back and read them all properly.

 

To ensure there's no ambiguity or prejudice caused by my availablility I said before the event that I would timestamp the messages as of when I received them.

OK initial thought is 2nd message is the wolf ( a very cunning clever one deflecting attention daft rows way as our only Evil callout so far).

 

Your status will confirm if Norway is confirmed good. If you are good, so was he.

 

I'm inclined to agree that the 2nd message is the wolf, but are we not simply basing that on our assessment of writing style?

For me it comes down to this: would I be more angry with myself if Daft Row was later proven to be EVIL and we let him live, or if we lynched him and he proved to be GOOD?

If not Daft Row, then whom?

 

What's annoying is I think you're GOOD however you'll probably be viewed next when I'm gone as you've been spouting a load of rubbish this entire time.

I know I am good ,therefore I know Daft Row is good , therefore 2nd message on both days is the wolf

 

Frustrating.

However I think I'm right in accepting my fate. I always preach facts in these games and one of the few facts out there is that I'm the only user to be identified as evil.

 

Hang on, don't we know with barely a semblance of a doubt that Meh is good? Why are you turning on him?

 

Unless DR is a tinker and the wolf named you both as good, which seems unlikely.

 

Thing is, it makes little sense either way. Why not just do the same thing if you are the wolf? It's just a bad message from whomever it's from.

 

As mentioned previously there is a possibility (albeit unlikely) that he is a wolf. He was out when the other wolf tried to attack. Could be the Harlot, could be a wolf. Still happy to be proved wrong here?

Turning on him because he's been pointing the finger at me since I was able to be active yesterday afternoon for not one good reason, pure unfounded speculation.

 

If Meh was a Wolf he would either kill or be killed by the other Wolf depending if they're the Alpha or Beta wolf, or would have been defended by the Guardian last night. Regardless of how it's diced Meh is Good because of how it panned out.

Indeed, which for my money makes DR's outburst even more incriminating than a probably erroneous wolf message. However, we also have the fact that he was named as good in the other message, which leaves us with two options.

Daft Row is GOOD
or Daft Row is EVIL

You can thank me later for my deductive reasoning

 

The only person to benefit from being unclear about the chain of events is the wolf.

If the second message is the seer, then we really are in trouble. They are being incredibly unhelpful by not naming their day 1 pick.

 

If Daft Row dies and is good then Norway is clear unless yesterday's second message was the seer and the wolf copied the style today? Seems unlikely..

If Daft row dies and is found good that would prove i am good and possibly Meh could be the boldest ever alpha in history of the forum !
Its still a long shot call , but it should be kept in the back of our minds , It does seem far more likely meh has been truthful and is the harlot.
I have to admit to being totally confused .

You've inadvertently highlighted a useful reason for killing DR. If he dies, we either kill a wolf, or we kill a villager and have 2 known, good players in the village, plus knowledge of the messages.

Not much consolation to DR if innocent, I'm sure.

 

Why so?

 

It's not a case of Meh being truthful, it's a case of logic and game mechanics. He cannot be a Wolf as he would have been protected by the Guardian or killed and revealed as Evil. As it was, he was out. The same phrasing used when I was a Harlot.

Not really pointing the finger. Just stating that I felt you posted after your name was mentioned. All I asked was that the seer view you. It was still their decision who to view and I'd also have thought there are at least 6 other late posters yesterday to look at.

It doesn't help us at all that we are waiting so late for messages so me and you/me and slb have been having our own little things while waiting.

If the seer could have done something earlier we'd have saved precious time talking about the new message.

Fair enough if the seer is busy but if not then they are not helping.

For what it's worth, I do think the second messages are both the wolf's so you may well be good.

As above, we discussed Meh's role early in the thread. People throwing him under the bus here are either far more astute than I am and are seeing something I have missed, or are muddying the waters unnecessarily, either deliberately or accidentally.

I'm convinced Meh is good and the fact that he's being mooted as one of a small handful of suspects now is very unnerving/suspicious.

 

Same here. I've played this role and know What happens. This argument over him being Evil is wrong on a fundamental level.
