Following the farcical execution of Diamond, the villagers scrurried back to their respective dwellings just as the sun was lost behind the forest. Cthulhu shouted back towards the village square, "The pub's open, everyone welcome!" On entering the pub he saw that a character was in the far corner just entering the toilets, cthulhu prepared the nuts on the bar waiting for thirsty villagers. After a few minutes he realised that whoever entered the toilet hadn't returned, so he shouted through the door, "You alright mate?", a muffled reply came back, "Sorry guv, I had something really meaty last night and now I'm paying for it, know what I mean?".
"Do you want a drink ready for you when you come out?"
"Yeah, something red" came the reply.
"Sorry, I didn't quite hear that." cthulhu said, he then entered the toilets and saw a mound of excrement on the floor, "What the fu.."
He stopped in his tracks, a furry creature swiped with his razor sharp claws and cthulhu slammed hard against the wall with such force the condom machine fell off of its brackets and smashed into his skull such that his skull gave in. As cthulhu exhaled for the final time a packet of three tumbled out of what remained of his jaw.

cthulhu was dead, he was GOOD.

At the other end of the village, a dark shadow of a man wandered through the darkness. In the shimmering moonlight the creature came across a 19th century horse trough made out of granite, it was perfect for sharpening claws on. Once satisfied he moved steathily towards a house of a man who'd caught his eye, he crept up to the wooden door and a started to pick the lock with his highly sharpened claw when he got a tap on his shoulder. The wolf turned quickly breaking his prize claw and let out a roar, there in front of him stood a nonchalent man in a hood. The wolf raised his hands ready to attack when the man swiftly produced a silver sword.

The wolf took one step back as the man stepped forward and calmly said, "I am the guardian, I am not afraid of you, you will never get to Meh! with me around." The wolf taken aback slightly, roared again but the guardian showed no emotion. The brazen wolf ran through the garden and jumped through the window, the guardian gave chase but couldn't keep up with the wolf's frantic pace. The wolf ran into the bedroom and sliced and slashed at everything and charged out again before the guardian could catch him. The guardian was in tears, he had failed! He sadly entered the room, turned on the light and could not believe his eyes. In the incredible commotion there was not a spot of blood to be seen. Meh! was out, he had left a note but all the guardian could read was, "Out tonight at chez ...." the rest of the note had been destroyed in the wolf's frenzy.

The village is open a little earlier today:

I will not be around between 8:20am & 9am, 10am-12pm I have a meeting (reason why we start a bit earlier today) and my appearance will be sporadic after 5pm.

The village will close after all 17 votes are in or 8pm which ever is sooner.

    Well done guardian.

Any reason why the wolf would target meh? Or just a random pick?

Seemed likely to me that Meh was Good. Putting too many theories out there to be a wolf.

Good to know there are only two wolves as I thought there might've been more with a game this big, and great work by the Guardian.

Sounds ike Meh would have survived anyway... regardless of the Guardian...

Also, interesting that the confrontation with the wolf and the Guardian played out like that. I wouldn't have thought it would.

Meh becomes pretty important to Team Good now.

Oh yeah good point. Still, good to know that they identified someone who was more than likely Good after yesterday's posts.

Morning all, just the two wolves at least to figure out based on last night!

Agree that Meh might have seemed likely to be good so potentially an easy target but was Cthulu mentioned much yesterday?

Must be one of the new roles

Interesting and only 1 kill is relatively good unless you're Cthulu.
Wasn't there a character previously who would stay at other people's houses each night?

So not point in our guardian trying to save him anymore.

I don't understand the logic of voting Diamond. Not one bit. That makes the seven who did vote for him in the suspicious group, and four of them I already had suspicions over and above their vote. I've had all day to reread yesterdays posts and there are four villagers who do stand out more than others.

Diamond was convinced yesterday's first message was from the wolf. It's a shame he didn't expand on that.

Usually when the guardian protects someone on the first night, the person they protected is vulnerable on night 2 as they cant be protected again.

At least we know Meh doesn't need protecting now so there's no easy kill for the wolves there.

    Worked out quite nicely.

Looking back Cthuhlu and Squibba had quite a back and forth yesterdayand voted eachother.

If squibba was a wolf would he be that obvious and take out Cthuhlu?

I wouldn't have thought so. Besides, the alpha wouldn't actually know if Diamond was evil or not.

This is a genuine question rather than an accusation - would the alpha avoid being killed by wolf 2 if he was already out on a kill or would they simply be killed when he got back?

I cant see how Diamond would think the 2nd message was from the Seer , why would a seer wait close to the cut off to give us a message especially after 1st message was given hours previously. that really doesnt help team good and muddies the waters , I still believe 2nd message was the wolf, yesterday I thought the message given was stupid , but after a night to think about it , it was very clever , here is why .
We have no new players everyone has played a game or two , thus everyone would have enough savvy not to send such a farcical message ,the wolf knows this so sends a farcical message and confuses us ,I for one got sucked in . it will be interesting to see message writing styles today.

Diamonds last comment to us on day 1 "Hang on, let me add one thing to help team good. Notice how the very late posters today came under no real suspicion whatsoever. That's probably too long for my headstone but it's my final say on the matter. I shall enjoy watching from afar."

Don't forget, the longer Meh stays alive, the more people he knows are definitely Good as he finds that out each night when he stays at their house and they don't kill him, or turn him over to the wolves (if a Traitor).

It's not so much use at the moment but if Meh stays alive for a few days it's worth paying attention to him when it comes to lynchings. Meh - good luck on the run!

Morning all. Thanks guardian but it really wasn't necessary! I had a great night out!

    Questions:

    1. Why did the guardian see the need to protect me? Did they think I was on to something?

    2. If I was a "useful idiot" as SLB so eloquently put it, why did the wolf see fit to still go for me? Amateur wolf or threatened wolf?

Surely it would make sense for the seer to look at Meh?

  31. Meh!

    Meh! Pre-Dictator

No. No it wouldn't. I know who is want the seer to look at, you or SLB but guess that's up to them.

Great write up. The game is hotting up. Just as us villagers make a stupid kill, the wolves stumble also.

You’d definitely be on my list, based on diamond and meh’s comments

  33. Meh!

    Meh! Pre-Dictator

I understand the logic completely. I didnt want to and didn't vote for him but the logic is sound - there was just as much chance he was evil as anyone else, however if he was it would mean more to team good than getting anyone else as would give a clue as to the messages. It was a slim hope but a better option nonetheless.

I was going to ask this question in the tavern last night but thought I'd save it for today - if roles were anonymous then would you all have been more comfortable voting Diamonds character after being mention in the second message? I know I would have been. Sentiment over who it is may have clouded some judgement as it seems like the right call based on available information.
