John Marks mentioned that six was a record in the top flight and nine was the record over all So not long now until another milestone
Wow! That was awful. No matter how you look at it, we are just simply not good enough at all for the Premier league. Gino and Duxbury have learnt nothing from our previous time in the Premier league. We have wasted a golden opportunity and we could all see it coming. 4-1 loss at home to Palace is an embarrassment. We would struggle in the Championship and possibly League One. The club has lost direction in all that it does. We are a disgrace. We live in hope for better days in the future, Championship or below, it doesn't matter.
Shame of it all, I don’t think their defence didn’t looked anything special, we didn’t put them under enough pressure to really find out!
What a contrast between him and Zaha.. One worded hard both in attack and defence . Other one couldn’t get into it and run literally straight off .
Most of you have summed it up perfectly. So then Mr Duxbury. What lessons have we learned from our last premier league season?? F**king clown!! Nothing against Woy, I’m sure he’s a lovely old man, we know Ray is a solid fella and this ISN’T on them BUT why on earth are we playing against sides like Palarse and acting as if they’re a prime AC Milan/Barcelona???? Why are we sitting off them and letting them play through us and around us?!? Where are the thundering challenges? Where is the work rate and effort? Where is the creativity? It was hoofball to Dennis, King & Sarr!! What’s the point??!! The ball came straight back at us and we were chasing shadows! Credit to Palace, their press was decent and Hughes was their best player (said all along it was a major blow losing him as he was as important to us as Sarr was) but we made them look far better than they are. We are absolutely tragic! To think we all slated and laughed at that fat idiot Martin Samuel years ago for saying that we are a club with no soul or identity!! Oh how right he was!! This summer will be interesting and horrifying in equal measure! The most hilarious thing about all this is we are going to be overtaken by Sh*t Town. Oh the irony.
**** knows how that happened. We were brilliant for the first 25 minutes. Hodgson almost definitely going to think he was too expansive and that’s why we conceded 4. He’s also going to leave 2 games before to keep up his “never been relegated” record.
Our next three games are cringe worthy Man Utd (A) Arsenal (H) Wolves (A) Total expected points = 0. Then we go to Southampton, who generally also turn us over. Fun.
Howard Webb with the whistle in Div 1? Imagine the scenes if refereeing was of such a high standard these days. We’d still be cut well adrift at the bottom.
Far too passive in winnable games at home, and we've let to many of them pass now to have any real hope. Why are we rolling over in fear of Crystal fcuking Palace?
Left early to pick up my Mrs from a hair appointment after I mistakenly had got the date for the football wrong. Said to the bloke next to me hopefully when I leave we will still be in it or we will lose 4-1 as a joke. Christ this team. Just a general sense of apathy permeating this club at the moment. And yet it still hurts.
I just wish someone had snapped that buck toothed **** in half. Do it in the reverse fixture and the season can be considered a success.
Can't believe Roy is saying we had 'quite a good spell' in the second half - it was utterly pathetic.
Well tonight I saw a high energy performance, lots of skill and excellent footwork. Glad I got the refund on Palace tickets and went to watch Kevin Clifton in Burn the Floor. It was a-maze-ing. A better decision than the last time when I passed up the show to go to the Cup Final.
Yeah, pretty much the complete opposite to what he said before the Villa game, about us "not having much hope" in staying up. Putting on a brave face for the cameras is one thing Roy, but please, you of all people must of seen that second half was unacceptable.
Took a spurs supporter to this one and he said it looked like 11 strangers with no game plan. Not even something as simple as just trying to release sarr over the top, just nothing. Unless Hodgson's tactics board says 'give it to Cathcart at the earliest opportunity' there was no plan at all.
There no was good spell in the second half, first half was good though. I would say it’s the midfield, so similar and static in their approach but then I look at the defence and it’s not really good enough then I look upfront and King’s not really good enough. The car won’t start, the gearbox is broken, the tyres are flat but the alloy’s are expensive and shiny. Lewis Hamilton couldn’t even get it going and it’s not his fault, you have to blame McClaren. Simple, not a man alive who keeps this squad up.
I cannot believe I was idiotic enough to think we had a chance of staying up after the win on Saturday. Disgraceful tonight, and much of the season. If anyone mentions the lack of noise from the crowd today, please don’t. What have we got to shout about with that ***** being served up? Typical Watford. Same old bottle jobs. Deserved all the booing they got.
Such a lazy performance when things weren't going our way. So many players were hiding, the only ones who stood out as actually wanting the ball when we had possession were Louza and Dennis. I find it amazing that players don't call each other out when others aren't doing their job properly.
Did you see how often Tom work rate Cleverly was miles from his midfielder, in an impossible position to try and progress the ball lol.
