Ugh! Have to wade through hundreds of posts about formations from the mind of armchair managers that no one is interested in
I often say to my top 6 supporting friends, the financial gulf has made the competitive nature of the domestic game a joke and that something major needs to happen. I mock their wins because they’ve been paid for. However, if we became one of them I’d lap it up! It would though be tarnished if it was paid for by a regime with poor human rights etc. Best example of feeling this way, was celebrating when Deeney scored for us, but then cringing a bit when families including small children chanted his name, barely weeks after he was released from prison. Never felt right and is why I’d never see him as a club legend (only my personal opinion).
Part of me is hoping we get slaughtered just to snuff out any lingering thoughts, in the powers that be, that Woy will be the man to lead us next season. A narrow loss or even getting something out of the game will make laugh out loud about how absurd footy is.
It's one thing to agonise over tactics if your team is going to play a big game which could go either way, but they could play their U23s and still beat us lol
Pedro probably the one not to drop - he would have put some effort in at least . Got their strongest defence out just in case we pass the half wat line !
Last time we played here it was 5-0 at HT. Going to be pretty impressive if they top that. They probably will.
Cleverley, Ngakia and King instead of Kucka, Femenia and Pedro. Those subs actually make us worse. 4-0 my guess.
Not that it’ll make any difference to the end result, but I can understand dropping Pedro as he’s quite wasteful in possession.
Forgot about this one, just seen both line ups. Pep is a sadomasochist the sick baldie, have some mercy. 6-0 City, only reason it won’t be more is because they’re going to get bored. Woy will try the same tactics he used to nicked points from City with Palace but will quickly realise they don’t work here cos they require three things we largely don’t have; effort, professional pride & quality.
Oh and Kalu fails to make the bench as we name 1 attacker, 3 centre backs, 1 full back, 2 defensive midfielders and a Ken Sema. Honestly? What is the need for more centre backs on the bench than on the pitch? How bad can Kalu be? I ******* hate this club and it’s nonsensical ways nowadays.
Good line up. Think we have a sniff with this side. Roy has made us hard to beat. Man City won't fancy playing us today.
I thinks it more of not wanting to pay for him. Saving the pennies. It wouldn't matter what team we put out today.
I don’t think King’s as bad. Pedro has a knack of trying too hard, dropping too deep and giving up the ball with silly passes. At least King will just hang around up top out of harm’s way and probably only touch it 2 or 3 times all match.
We’ve already bought Kalu? It just seems he is such a diabolical signing that we’d prefer 3 centre backs to him. As long as Pozzo has sorted out Bayat that is the main thing I suppose.
I think Pedro has a killer pass in him, like the one in the last match that should have been an assist. King was quite good in the begining , but can't pass or score now, making him useless. But it doesn't even matter, neither one of them can make much of a difference today.
True. He's here till the 24/25 season so I am guessing emergency backup perhaps? We might see more of him next season, the only other reason I can think of it Roy just doesn't see anything in training. Could be an attitude thing, but he surely must want to prove himself.
We have so many nobs in our support. Watford (H) - Sat 23rd April, 15:00 (BST) | Pre-Match Thread | Page 12 | Bluemoon - the leading Manchester City forum (bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk) Kow tow to your masters Watford John.... I mean every word about that vile club.
Show them the Football League Division 1 from the early 80's. Look at the diversity of teams on display. Then remind them that at this time the away teams took a share of the gate receipts which in it's way helped the well run, well managed clubs like ours and others to punch well above our weights.
