I completely agree that the first yellow he received was poor decision making on his part, for which he is rightly being questioned. However, he then had to continue to do his job and try to stop Leicester scoring, which is what he did for the penalty. You can't just have a 'keeper who meekly lets the opposition score in the last five minutes of a game we're losing because he's on a yellow and might get a second one.

If Porteous had saved the penalty and we'd then produced another 'Hogg-Deeney!' moment down the other end, I'd wager few would have lamented that Bachmann brought down Vardy and will miss one match. Admittedly, that situation was extremely unlikely to happen, but we have done it before to the same opponents!

I don't have a problem with the second yellow. It was a footballing incident which is fair enough. But it shouldn't have led to a red card, because he shouldn't have gone out of his way to pick up the initial yellow. Because he got the first yellow he put himself in a position where he could be sent off, which is exactly how it played out. This is the thing he needs to stop. The unnecessary yellow cards for dissent....or Kung Fu kicks.

This is a weird turn for this character account, but sure - Can see it rivalling past greats such as Meredensi, Sharia4Watford, Doughnut etc.

He's the captain, he's entitled to go and talk to the ref. I bet other captains get away with a lot more than Dan was booked for.

He's not though. The ref's entitled to summon the captain(s) to speak to him if need be. But it's very much that way around.

Depends what the "talk to the referee" entails. If it's "the guys are confused, what was that given for?", fine, but if you've raced 1/3 length of the pitch to argue or tell him he's an idiot, it's not.
