Yeah fairly certain they’ll have it on. There’s also The Hind right over the road from the station for an away friendly pub.
Leicester are a massive club and we can only be grateful to see our tinpot squad play at their massive ground.
He'll get a hat-trick then get an assist in the other goal as the foxes maul us like we did to Rotherham two weeks ago...
Will be interesting to see where we are now against one of the big boys in the division after the decent run we have had.
Pretty strong side. Ngakia is out for a while due to Ankle surgery, he's the only absentee as far as I can find. Would of perhaps started Hamer, considering Bachmann has only just come back from long term concussion, but I guess he feels he's alright to play.
No Serrialta? I was reading this morning he was back from injury, has he had a relapse as he is not even on the bench.
Do we know how long he ( Bachmann ) actually had it for ? Asprilla doesn’t seem as effective when he starts. Interesting to see Louza back in . Kone has been travelling I guess .
I think our only chance is if they get a red card. They've had two defeats but are so far ahead of this level.
Think Val said he only returned to training a couple of days ago and they’d be assessing his match fitness. Presumably he’s not quite there yet. Probably sensible with the amount of games coming up.
I'd prefer it if Kone was starting instead of Louisa, but I understand that Kone played for Canada so may be tired.
Praise for Jack Grieves from VI was included in the latest 'mic'd up' video this week and he's travelled with the squad today
We were never in the races there. At 0-1 though it was good damage limitation I suppose. The last bit was completely unnecessary. Wouldn't quite say damaging, as the less we have to have Captain Clown in goal the better. Shame as well we only really showed any attacking intent once we went behind.
The club captains of previous years: Tom Cleverley, Troy Deeney, Manuel Almunia, John Eustace, Jay DeMerit. Having a goalkeeper as captain rarely works anyway (apart from Almunia) but Bachmann just isn’t a leader. What those other names had in common was natural leadership qualities. A severe lack of discipline is running right through this team and it starts with the captain. 2-0 against the team who will most likely win the league isn’t terrible but we were really never in the game. Onto Tuesday
Annoyingly it was a closer game than I expected and the scoreline suggests. For once one of the main things which cost us was Ismael being too slow and passive in his substitutions. We started the game well, but as the game wore on the lack of mobility of Rajovic and Ince, and the waste of the shirt that was Louza, meant Leicester started to realise they could push us high up the pitch and not have to worry so much about us counter-attacking in behind. Louza should have been subbed at half time for someone more mobile eg Kone or Chak, and we should have taken off Ince at the same time as Rajovic (and made those subs 10 minutes earlier anyway). We also offcourse had the chance to take the lead, with an opportunity we're used to seeing Rajovic finish. Even at 1-0 when we started playing again we created opportunities. But us sitting too deep with the lack of energy up top meant Leicester could build up pressure which eventually paid off for them. I'm really surprised Val didn't do more to try and change things sooner. Quick word on the ref who gave a lot of stupidly soft yellows - including Louza's one as he was backing away when the free-kick by Choudhury was kicked against him. He also booked Bachmann for talking to him, despite the fact that as the captain he should be allowed to go and question decisions. I'm not convinced Bachmann touched Vardy either, though it was stupid of him to go to ground anyway. To top it all off he let Choudhury off one of the most blatant yellow cards you'll ever see early in the first half, and then ignored Choudhury making a fairly high lunge on Porteous in the penalty box to try and win the ball even after the whistle had gone. On the subject of Porteous, he was rash again and just can't kick his habit of rushing out of defence to just get by-passed. I'm not going to get too down about the game though as it was better than I thought it was going to be and we put together some decent moves at times.
We could have easily taken the lead, and could have easily made it 1-1 had Porteous made a better decision when through on goal.
Yeah but then Leicester could equally have been at least 3-0 up by the time they eventually took the lead if they’d have taken their chances rather than repeatedly fluffing them. That’s why that line of thinking never really carries much weight.
He gave away a penalty right at the end and got himself a second yellow in the process. Tbf it looked like one of those where the striker throws them self past the on rushing keeper while dangling a leg, playing for the pen. Havent seen a replay though. Either way ref couldnt wait to give it or the second yellow. Cant complain too much at the overall result, Leicester were the better side on the day.
