i had ebanks blake for one season at watford, signed him for 2 million i think. got promoted that season and sold him for 6 million.

anyway after leaving peterborough for the villa job i restructured the villa team and have made the majority of my squad english.

the thumbnail shows how good the squad is, ill post full lists in 6 games when i know the final position.

    come on you villans!!

i had a dodgy spell in december and january, where i lost most my points and went out of both cup competitions in the early stages.

I've become frustrated with my Chelmsford game, I'm had a dismal start to the season and I lay in the bottom 6 after the first 5 games of the season. We've given away 4 penalties in these 5 games and had 2 red cards, despite none of my players being overly aggressive/my tactics not being to tackle hard.

I may take a sabbatical from this game for a while and try my fortunes elsewhere.

Its been one fantastic season as Villa manager.

Over the summer I got rid of a lot of what I considered to be the deadwood at Peterborough. My board backed me and gave me a huge transfer region in the region of £43million.

I made some signings, the majority of whom were english, see attached pic.

The season started well, although I found myself out of the league cup in round 4. By january my form had started to take a dip, and I found myself as low as 8th in the league.

At this point, I made one important signing, £23 million on Keirrison, a young brazilian forward, touted to be the next big thing. Since Christmas Keirrison has scored a fantastic 8 goals in 13 appearances. I did however lose the services of Spanish defender Carlos Cuellar who moved back to his native spain to play for Zaragoza, in a move which provided me with £10million to spend. I also signed young Man City defender Andrew Smith for £4million.

At the begin on the season I took what was regarded by many (wfc-4ever ;) one of them) a very risky move by signing Michael Owen, then 29 from Newcastle for 13 million. He has paid me back, by scoring 17 goals in 38 games, just two behind top goalscorer Emile Heskey who scored a fantastic 19 goals in 37 games.

Ashley Young chipped in with 9 goals in 35 appearances.

My season finished on a bit of a low with a disappointing loss to Reading away from home. However a place in next seasons Champions League is a fantastic result for my team, which wernt competing in any continental competition this season after O'Neills disappointing results last year.

    Onwards and Upwards.

    My preferred starting 11:

    FOSTER
    G.JOHNSON C.DAVIES J.LESCOTT N.SHOREY
    A.LENNON M.NOBLE G.BARRY A.YOUNG
    E.HESKEY M.OWEN

An all english starting 11 backed up admirably by a couple of foreign flair players, a nice mix.

Astonishing. I've taken the reigns at Middlesborough, managed to get Javier Saviola in on loan as well at Michaelangelo Albertazzi and Jonathan Zebina (both on loan). First game was a home game against Man Utd. 3-0 down at HT, laid into them, and then watched in amazement as we came back to 3-3. We then shipped a late goal to make it 3-4, then scored an even later leveller to make it 4-4 (cue pandemonium).

My second game of the season was against Fulham, and guess what the score was? Astonishingly, 4-4. I think I may need to get some new defenders.

And I've just lost 0-1 at home to ROCHDALE in the league cup. I think I'm in for a topsy-turvy season at The Riverside.

Have nearly finished the season and easily avoiding relegation atm i am about 14th, will psot some screenshots and info at the end. A big clear out if happening as none of my four strikers had any kind of consistency so will try to sell them all. Seriously looking at D. Kiev's Milevskiy who is class along with owen if i can get him on a free due to contract running out. If owen deal fails then any of these agbonlahor, defouneso, ebanks (improved loads after getting 25 league goals) or Kerrison but money may be too much.

Have signed Oneyewu on a free after agreement who looks quality for free apart from a slight lack of pace.

And joining me in the prem next season are WATFORD after Fergie jr took over after i nicked BR to be my assistant. Starting off ok by being outside of playoffs and then constantly climbing up to the top and staying there after a slight hiccup. They won the league by something like nine points, which is a massive achievement as they sold a few and only spent 60k on one very average player. Will post screenies of this as well

im thinking i might keep him, hes tied down to a 4 year contract, and nobody is meeting my valuation of 31m.

Here is the champ table after Fergie Jr got the orns promoted and by only spending 35k on Barrons from Millwall. :sign15:

To join my in the prem still one game left and 11 points clear not nine like i guessed

ok after finishing 3rd with villa last year in my first full year in charge, with my mostly english squad.

i set about trying to strengthen the squad for the champions league. i conceded a lot of goals last season, but also scored a lot.

there were very few adequate defenders on the market, so in the end i only bought young defender jack rodwell.

it is time for gabby zakuani to make a big step up into the first team anyway, after performing consistently when asked to do so last season.

i did however lose a first team defender in the form of glen johnson, but made a £9 million profit.

the fixture list presented me with three very tough first fixtures at the start of the season with liverpool away, arsenal at home and man utd away.

i drew 2-2 with liverpool, beat arsenal 2-1 after playing for 46 minutes with 10 men and 20 mins with 9 men. i then went to old trafford where a late ashley young free kick who came on injured off the bench. 5 points from my first three games, very tough fixtures, so im happy thus far.

thus got group for champions league and been drawn against; lyons, anderlect and werder bremen.

    onwards and upwards.

notice my squad is still very english orientated.

Season finished and league table and all transfer activity screenshots, will transfers i still have £6m but no point spending atm. In the summer there will be a big clear out, when i was nearly mathematical safe i started experimenting will some players who i was thinking of selling to give them a finally chance to show me they are good enough for the albion. And i've got to say i wasnt impressed, otherwise i would have finished much higher as for most of the season i was 12th but ended up experimenting too much by giving players a chance to impress me if not they would get the chop.

and i think i will clear out all four strikers which are Miller, Bednar, Tuncay and Fortune nearly all of them have been good for short spells but are really inconsistent. I should get a good amount of money for each probably a total roughly of £15m-20m plus i am willing to spend the majority of my transfer budget on it as midfield and keepers are pretty much fine.

But atm i am trying to sign foster and owen only due to them being free's for next season but arent really interested but i am the only team after them. I have signed Oneywu on a free for next season after fighting off some big clubs compared to me and i wasnt willing to give him a big wage either. There were many teams interested including everton, marseille, roma, villa and a few more, rather pleasing.

I need a LB for next season but can't find one at a reason price that is good enough. Anyone got a recommendation?

    Milevskyi/E Blake Pogrebnyak/Boyd

A few spares which are addison and dalton plus two class strikers who are 17 kadlec and Elford-Alliyu but this is my first team squad

The transfer activity was a lot as i cleared out players who either werent performing, too old or not good enough at this level. Now very pleased with my squad :)

The transfers in and out difference is £23m but my transfer budget was 13m to finish in the top half. But the reason for the difference is i did a fair few monthly installments in a few signings. Like Pogrebnyak about 10.5 really, Milevskyi actually about 8.5 and a small amount on fleck and fernandinho about a million or two less than stated on the screenshot.

So far Milevskyi has scored 5 goals in 4 league games :sign15: Pogrebnyak hasnt played a game yet but i expect him to do really well too.

After not playing for a short while for various reasons we're now 19 games into the league season and we sit 5th, 8 points off 2nd place and a promotion/relegation game and 9 off top spot, only 7 games to go so it'll take some doing to go up this season. Having only lost 3 times, it's the 8 draws which have held us back as we've lacked a cutting edge in the final 3rd, my main strikers failed to do the buisness and i recalled three youngsters who were out on loan in the 2nd division and Richard Brookes despite being 17 has hit 5 in 11 whilst my two top scorers are winger Chris McGarahan and Martin Smith my PK taking CB and captain.

Two signings have already been sealed for the summer, striker Matt Tubbs who's been prolific for Salisbury in the BSP and BSS bagging 198 goals in 430 league games which could be lethal at this level, and he joins from Carrick who are in the NI Prem and he's scored goals there too. Also Stuart Ralph also will sign on a free from P.S.N.I (Police Service of Northern Ireland) after causing me no end of problems in games against me

hes ok, i wouldnt go as far as saying he is one of the best. average to good maybe. the regen players are very good at a young age, i signed a lb called juan carlos duran once, when he was 16 and i was with watford in the prem, he played every game and his stats were all 10s at least, with the majority of ones that mattered to him as a left back being above 15. he was in the spanish national squad by the age of 17 and i sold him for 30m when he turned 18. :]]

So my 9th season in charge of Portstewart came to an end, we finished well winning 3 of the last 5 to seal a respectable 5th place finish, the fans trust took over the club and suprise suprise have to plans to invest any money. Ultimately our 10 draws in the 26 league games scuppered any hopes of mounting a promotion challenge, so hopefully i can find that cutting edge during the summer to give us a chance of challenging next season.

Our top scorer was dissapointingly our left winger Chris McGarahan who finished with 8 goals as my supposed "key player" Damien Burgess managed just 5 league goals all season, only one of which was after November. The arrival of Tubbs and Ralph as mentioned in my last update should complement the youth of Gadsby (18) who came through the ranks and Watt (18) and Brookes (17) who both signed on frees 16 months ago.

I'm really struggling to find a game which I can sink my teeth into.

I'm bored with my Chelmsford game (went into overkill on it..) and my Middlesborough game isn't very good, either. I'm thinking of maybe trying a newly promoted Championship team like Notts Forest and seeing where I can take them.
