Last night I watched the German film Die Welle (The Wave) and it was superb.

A teacher leads his students during project week down a slippery path as he shows how autocracy can come about, pull people in and work.
With such open minds in front of him and an ego ballooning within, what started out as a mere teaching exercise turns into something much more disturbing.
Even more relevent as it was made in Germany this is a must see as far as I'm concerned.

Not much to do when you're sick other than to vomit and watch films.

    This morning I vomited.
Nearer lunchtime I watched The Hide, a film based on the play The Sociable Plover.
An interesting piece with enough subtlety to keep you interested though the twist is a little obvious. Still watchable but the ultimate ending seemed rushed after such an understated build up.
I'm bracing myself for another vomiting session later on. Joy.

Just got back from cinema and I saw The Hangover 2. I have to say it is a hell of a lot better than the original and it is very, very funny. One of the best films of the year.10/10

    X Men - First Class

Not bad for a prequel, good way of introducing the characters of the originals, and with a few surprising appearances

Just saw the social network, it was brilliant.

rubber - simply awful. the premise of a tyre coming to life, rolling around the desert and using its psychic powers to blow things up promised so much. yet the delivery was art house ****

Watched a film on sky any-time last night staring Sean Bean, called "Cash"

I thought it was pretty good, well worth a watch IMO.

Watched Role Models last night on Channel 4. Glad I saw it was on as I've been meaning to watch it for a while now. Thought it was very good and funny. A lot of well known actors staring in it too like Paul Rudd, Seann William Scott, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and so on which makes it more enjoyable to watch in my opinion.

I watched the Green Hornet. The only good scene was when Seth Rogen takes Kato, pushes his face onto the foosball table and spins the handle to make the little men kick him in the face. The rest was humdrum.

I remember seeing the trailer for that last year and it looked superb.

I'll wait until Channel 4 show it at 3am with subtitles and signing now if it's that bad :sad2:

Did you see that Human Centipede 2 has just been rejected by the BBFC, according to their summary of the film it contained a scene where a rape is carried out with the aid of barbed wire :scared1:

Isn't the serbian film the snuff one, with raping dead bodies and stuff?

To be honest I don't know all that much about it, just know a couple of things that go on in it. You can actually buy it in HMV, would you believe.

    I'm surprised it's not banned.

I can't remember the name, but i once heard of a film where they genuinely employed people who wanted to commit suicide, and recorded them doing it, and added that into the film.

I think it was banned from even being fully edited.

Wasn't it Bill Hicks who suggested (joked) using terminally ill people in films when characters are blown up, shot or whatever?

    Superb idea!

Much better than having your ashes shot into space on a big firework or thrown off a cliff somewhere.

Despite the godawful reviews, I really enjoyed it. Never going to provoke introspection or examination, but a real hoot. In many ways, funnier than the first.

I'd never heard of this film, but it was brilliant crap. It was like the best film since Dude Where's My Car. Only better.

I also watched Black Swan at the weekend. Gripping drama with hot lezzer scenes. No wonder the Oscars loved it.

I also watched this on ITV the other night for the first time. I heard alot about it and it was geuinely a good film, wish i'd watched it earlier.

Anyone seen the new X-Men film, I honestly diddn't it was any good, It had me bored until the last 40 mins or so.

I feel dirty now. it is a truly dreadful film which sullies the good name of the original.

The first film was great, came just at the right time with the start of PC gaming.

Watched Zulu Patrol tonight or was it Dawn, anyway those fuzzywuzzies gave the British a dam good hiding.
