Was expecting an email yesterday, cant believe we have paid for something last friday and 5 days on they cant tell what we have got?, I hope you got the lot for that amount, friend went for the same as me and been charged just under a grand, lot of money but not too bad when you think it is for potential 7 tickets at a major finals after for you see they charge for cup final tickets and Champions league final tickets

At the Tournaments it does not seem to make much difference between the Cats, I only went for the higher ones as I thought it would increase my chances, I prefer to be up in the gods with a larger view, these tend to be cheaper tickets, if you have a final ticket and england are there would not care where it is and how much I paid.

I got cat 3 for all 3 group games, the semi final and final. That's all I applied for so now sorted.

I did not get the Wales game or Last 16 or QF, friends on less caps got the lot and applied for exactly the same?

Got the final which would have been the hardest so pleased about that, surprised about last 16 and QF, they are usually the easiest

Well done on getting a Wales ticket! We owe them after the Rugby World Cup

The way some of the tickets have been allocated seems odd. I'm on 27 caps so nowhere near the top but just enough to be guaranteed.

Reading the englandfans forum some people with a lot of caps missed out. There must be a legit reason why.

Seems every country is having the same issue.
IFA had this problem and I've heard Wales and Belgium did too.

This year I am way near the top capers, so can't moan, got a final ticket what was my main concern, just can't understand how we all went for Same cats, and those on lower caps got the lot, really don't understand last 16 and last 8, in the past they have been the easiest.

There did not seem a line about who got what, it seems much more of a ballot this time as a third party decides (unefa) and not the supporters clubs. Also it seems you are not allowed to return tickets now, which seems a bit stupid when genuine fans want to return tickets to genuine fans.

Not going to lose any sleep over it, look forward to getting my money back in August for my final ticket less two admin fees and a worse exchange rate for the pleasure of uefa having my money for 6 months, being a football fan you get used to being treated like dirt, it does make you realise just how lucky we are with our owners, who since we have got in the premier league not taken us for granted and rewarded loyalty, long may it continue

Got my ticket for the Poland game which gives me all 3 group games, happy with that!

Restricted view but looking at the stadium it cant be too bad, no pillars to be stuck behind so probably just very low

I've had restricted views at tournaments before and sometimes it's something like a handrail in the way. It won't be anything like pillars or walls, not in a new/rebuilt stadium.

Roy Hodgson was on TalkSport earlier explaining his thinking behind squad selection. He pretty much said the problem with picking players from smaller clubs that have had a good season is that you might take them in place of a "better" player from a big club who hasn't been in such good form. Errrrmmm... what? Expect to see Jack Wilshere in the squad then after a couple of substitute appearances at the end of the season. This is the same man that said Marcus Rashford was in contention for a Euro 2016 place after only three senior games and picked Jesse Lingard after one goal. The big club bias that Hodgson has is so frustrating.

He's a truly drab, boring manager and I can't see anything other than a tame exit once again.

Hodgson is simply dreadful. His thought processes are moronic. The sooner he is put out to pasture the better. Any rational manager would have Wilshire nowhere near the squad.

The thing is, the FA love him. He's a yes man. They want the big names to be picked, he'll pick the big names. Unless Euro 2016 goes absolutely disastrously (and I'm talking maybe 1 or 2 points in the group stage), he'll take England to Russia 2018 too.

Just look at that farcial team meeting he called a few weeks back. By all accounts, the only uncapped player to be invited to that was Danny Rose.

Just strikes me as mad to take a player who hasn't performed all season when we have a few options in midfield.

The media will put great pressure on the bloke to perform and them hammer him/Hodgson when it doesn't work..

At the last World Cup wasn't Wilshere mainly a sub and you can hardly say he has made progress on the International stage since..

He is potentially a very good player but also a major injury prone risk - like Sturridge.

I have about as much interest in National football as the players. Zero.

Representing England is no longer considered the honour it once was. Domestic football has become far more important to the shallow individuals that have the good fortune to earn a crust from it.

At the end of the day you cant have it both ways , people complain caps have been given out like confetti yet moan when he`s picking the `same old faces`

It is likely , as much as you dont like it , that a half fit Welbeck is better than a fully fit Deeney (certainly i would say Welbeck would finish a half chance over Deeney)

I hate Hodgson and the england team so just playing devils advocate

Picking Wiltshire - remember taking Becks and Rooney when unfit?

Picking Rashford - he's made a great start, just like Walcott had when Fabio took him to the World Cup (and then ignored him).

Still, I expect a squad of 16 fit players from massive clubs will do the business, like they always do.

You could actually do quite well in this competition if it wasn't for your squad of 23 being the usual suspects. Fair enough, you still wouldn't have as good a squad as Germany/Spain etc but you'd do better than usual.

Unfortunately for us Chris Brunt will miss the Euros. Never really performs for NI as well as he should though considering he has been a Premier League regular for years. Apparently we are calling up QPR's new striker Conor Washington for the upcoming friendlies.

I'd also be surprised if we didn't approach Connor Wickham again

I've long stopped caring about the national team. It's a ludicrous parody of what it used to be. Like most things in this miserable country, it's for sale to the highest bidder. Marketability comes well before merit.

I'm busy mulling over which underdog to adopt this summer. Austria or Croatia?

  19. Jellyman

Croatia are odd because they've somehow stumbled across a wealth of world class attacking midfielders (Rakitic, Modric, and to a lesser extent Kovacic) but lack any depth elsewhere.

I would agree except that generally speaking the Welsh are as bad as the Scots when it comes to supporting anyone other than England.

I shall be supporting Albania, mainly for their love of comedy genius Norman Wisdom.

Depth yes, but their squad is still insanely talented. Would be a much bigger threat if Srna were in his peak as well.

So Roy will stick to a tried and tested method of picking players from 'big' clubs even if they have done virtually nothing all season ( Wiltshire, Welbeck, Henderson, Delph and Strurridge spring to mind) Will probably have Andros Townsend in the squad as he is one of Roy's favs. The man is not suited to the job. He's already failed at two tournaments miserably but its his lack of imagination or risk taking that really annoys me. Drinkwater has been one of the players of the season but will he go ahead of Delph or Henderson - no he wont cos Woy believe it or not hates taking players from non traditional big clubs.

Expect to see Rooney as captain up front, Raheem Sterling and James Milner starting - the likes of Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy on the bench.

Taking Wilshire is nothing like taking your star player when unfit. He's a bit part squad player who hasn't played all season. Equivalent of taking a half fit Steve McMahon under Bobby Robson.

Yes but it still uses up a valuable squad place. There's no point in having a player there who's not match fit.

Who, out of Boylesport's prediction would you not take?

Goalkeepers: Joe Hart, Jack Butland, Fraser Forster

    Left-backs: Luke Shaw, Ryan Bertrand

    Right-backs: Nathaniel Clyne

Centre-halves: Gary Cahill, Chris Smalling, John Stones, Phil Jones

Defensive Midfielders: Jordan Henderson, Jack Wilshere, Eric Dier, James Milner

Attacking Midfielders: Ross Barkley, Raheem Sterling, Theo Walcott, Dele Alli

Forwards: Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Vardy, Danny Welbeck

Personally I wouldn't take Shaw, Wilshere, Milner, Walcott or Welbeck.

I would take Baines over Shaw, Deeney over Welbeck (I don't think Deeney is better, I just think Welbeck is too similar to Vardy/Sturridge and Deeney would over something else), Zaha over Walcott and then Drinkwater over Wilshire. Would also take Jones as DM cover instead of Milner and bring Shawcross as CB cover

When was the last time Phil Jones/Luke Shaw kicked a ball!
