Stop being so precious. It`s their message board they can say whatever they want on it. That and you are guilty of everything you are accusing them of being.
Just read the first couple of pages of the Watford thread on their board. They all think they'll win, but a lot of them say we've bought well and it'll be tricky. Seems reasonable and not worth ******* your knickers about to me.
Both are better going forwards than defending Good wing backs carp full backs When did you ever see Holebas stop a cross? Ake got the nod over him every time.
That's my main concern with Holebas, he lets 95% (no an exaggeration) of crosses in from his side. Needs to get closer.
That's one of my concerns - alongside not tracking runners, getting caught out of position, diving in to tackles he can't win and turning the ball over in bad positions. I'd say he's been partially culpable for half of the six goals we've conceded this season - Southampton (not reacting then turning his back on Redmond's shot), Arsenal's second (diving in on Bellerin who was covered by Kabasele, meaning Walcott had acres of space to cross) and Arsenal's third (not reacting to Ozil's run into the box). Much as I like his positive play going forward, I feel he's going to cost us a lot of goals if he plays a lot this season.
This is generally every issue you'll encounter when turning a winger into a full back. Their offensive side is great but their defensive not so. Those who can do both play for Barce etc etc
spot on. I'd rather have a marauding greek nutter charging up the wing than some boring plodder who doesnt cross the halfway line anyway. We have 3 CBs to cover for him. All is good.
Such is my faith in Pereya to provide the ammo I'm predicting a shock hammering for the irons (see what I did there) ... 4 or 5-1 with both our strikers hitting a double each. Payet for them at the death and a total KUMB meltdown to follow.
David Gold. West Ham owner... "No disrespect but we really must be beating teams of Watford’s status at home if we see ourselves as the top third side I believe us to be. We have several of our best players back including Dimi Payet and we are very confident that we can get the result we need.”
It must be absolutely terrible having the London stadium as a home ground. It is literally everything wrong about modern football. Nevertheless, the place will be renamed The Theatre of Screams when Pereyra bangs in a last minute winner.
Anyone who thinks we're winning this needs their head examined. Heavy defeat with the new guys all injured with season ending injuries.
Struggling to argue with that, but better than what we have. Not sure I'd drop Amrabat, having read other posts!
West Ham do have a dangerous looking team and this will be another tough test for us and in all fairness 1 point would be a decent result away from home L, although I can actually see us causing an upset here my West Ham supporting mates think they are Madrid at the moment comical really
The logic seems to be that putting London on the bottom of your badge and then getting a subsidized stadium from the public makes them a footballing giant. Somebody tell Dag & Red, don't know why they're not on the train yet.
If it's the same West Ham that have turned up since the Europa Qualifiers then we'll win this quite comfortably, perhaps 2-0. However, i think with Payet back in contention and an extra couple weeks to get their squad upto speed, it'll more likely be a West Ham victory. I'd take a goaless draw tbh
I'd take a point for sure here. Being my usual optimistic self, I see us getting our trousers pulled down tomorrow, and then the ensuing forum panic stations will begin.
Excuse my ignorance but is Dave a coffee expert? I don't know him. I must say my heart sank a little when I read that Payet will play. Would trade my fees for today for a point.
I think a draw away from home is always a respectable return, anything more would be fantastic, anything less a slight disappointment. So I expect my emotional response tomorrow to be anywhere from mild disappointment to sheer delight, which I deem an acceptable range for a Saturday in September.
Not at all. I'm campaigning for the Vic to be renamed the Fairly Near North London Stadium. That'll attract Italian superstars to join us.
I was surprised to see the KUMB chaps raving about Lanzini and his role in linking midfield and attack. Hope he hasn't flown under Waltar's radar like he did under mine. I just thought he was a lightweight who popped up with a cracking goal every 20 games or so. We'll need our attackers working hard to stop Noble creating from deep or we'll need 2 defensive midfielders to thwart Lanzini and Payet. Wonder if we could get Quique back on loan for this one?
Ha, top 3, how delusional. Everything else makes sense though, we'd probably say and expect the same at home against Burnley, Hull etc.
We have 2 losses to go (this and manure) before our season finally starts We will be 3 or 4 points adrift at the bottom by then
To be fair, he does say top third not top three. I would describe Watford as likely bottom third at this stage of the season, so expecting a top 7 team to beat a bottom 7 team at home is hardly inflammatory. Wish it had been because I detest the odious little ****!
