I agree with you, my point about why Jurado is liked by some is that they see his little flicks and close control and think that he has the ability to so something magical. FF was the same, except every now and again he would do something magical to justify all his downsides. Jurado has all the hall marks of a very skilful player but constantly flatters to deceive, except of course if you believe this new argument that he does things that only experienced football people notice and its not all about what us ordinary folk notice like goals and assists, which is generally something I've always taken for granted from a creative midfielder.

Dublin - This is the whole point. This is why people get so annoyed at Juardo starting every week and give him a hard time. He has done 0 all season, I believe his performances are detrimental to the team but the fact that he starts every week regardless of how he plays / what formation we are playing is why fans get on his back. He shouldn't walk in the team, he shouldn't be the first name on the team sheet but he pretty much is. Meanwhile, there are players like AG who bust a gut with every single appearance yet has only made his first league start in mid April. He may not be the best player we have but no way is he that bad that he has only just won his first start. QSF needs to drop this old pals act his has going on. This also applies to Suarez.

Ok, I give up. Maybe you should read the below article from WDSport which explains a bit more about the things that not everyone appreciates about Jurado, like his high pass success percentage and that he has actually got two assists according to one unnamed website. Perhaps the most compelling argument is the one where they quoted Guardiola talking about how Zidane was always available for a pass to show that Jurado does exactly the same thing for us. WDSport are experienced, professional sports journalists, it's only natural that they can see things that aren't obvious to everyone. It's not like it's just a couple of blokes with no particular expertise or insight writing about football.

A poor clearance went straight to Gueds. He immediately pushed it through perfectly for Troy to take a shot. Would Jurado or Capoue have done that?

Capoue went on a run, beat people, seemed to be getting behind the defence but then started dribbling across the pitch before passing backwards. Would Jurado or Gueds have done that?

Jurado did nothing in particular, apart from a couple of ineffective long shots. Would Capoue or Gueds have done that?

Jurado did actually play with Zidane once, albeit as a late sub - this game sounds like a cracker:

I've Google translated the two Jurado entries on that commentary.

'Entra Jurado y se marcha Raúl. Pitos para el jugador merengue que ha cedido el brazalete de capitán a Zidane.'

Enter the Jurado who is much better than Raúl. He immediately has some nice touches which brings a standing ovation which even includes Zidane.

'Jurado la pone y Soldado no llega por muy poco. Los canteranos, los que más ilusión están mostrando.'

Jurado nicely touches the ball to Soldado who isn't quick enough the keep the ball in play. Sevilla will certainly be looking to bring in some better players than him in the summer to compliment the Master, who is let down by the quality of the players around him.
