Is it just me, or are the previews getting later and later? I think we'll win this one 3-1. Players wanting to impress pre-semi-final will have a better chance to do so in this game than against West Ham. Danthek has tendered his resignation. WBA v Watford 16/04/16 The Albion are one of those teams that I've always had a soft spot for. No idea why. No playground allegience that I can recall. The soft spot was reinforced by two things: 1. Coming back down many moons ago to a game at the Vic and seeing the Baggies singing 'Boing Boing'. Man, woman and child. To this day I've never seen away support like it. 2. Working on a contract in Walsall 10-15 years ago. A good few colleagues were Baggies fans. We could and probably should learn a lot from their black, and Black Country, humour in the face of perennial football disappointments. The Baggies took their nickname from a Madness song, 'Baggy Trousers'. Tony Pulis (pronouned Toe knee Pew lis) was appointed manager because he took his collection of Ska records with him to his interview. His presentation during the interview, where he showed the evolution of Ska into Madness, got him the job. To this day it is the only time that a candidate for a football manager's job has asked for a flipchart and a turntable. Both Watford and West Bromwich Albion begin with a 'W'. Watford is rarely shortened to 'W', apart from when singing "Give us a W", but West Bromwich Albion is often shortened to 'WBA' (pronounced 'Awaba'). 'Awaba' play in claret and blue, and the Holte End is their 12th man. 'W' to win 3-1. Jurado (pronounced 'Hooradough') to score first.
Not sure what is the most unrealistic part of that post - the scoreline, Ighalo controlling the ball or Jurado scoring!
Well he has scored 2 in a PL match more than once before, and against better opposition, so not so unrealistic.
Thought under 2.5 goals was an absolute banker so went to check. 8/15. Stuck a few quid on 0-0 at 6/1 instead.
I would like to see Holebas & JCP continue over Ake & Nyrom, both of whom were dreadful in their last two games. I would also like to us to drop 4-4-2 or atleast use players out wide better suited to be there. That said we will probaley get the same midfield lineup of 3 dm's and Jurado
So looks like there will be changes against West Brom, hopefully a good thing. Hoban and Erkstrand perhaps?
W.B.A vs Watford FC - 16/04/16 Last 5 (BPL Only) W.B.A: LDLWDWatford FC: DLLLL Head to Head There have been 34 matches between us with 47.06% of the wins going to West Brom. Watford are at 26.47% which is equal to the draws between the two. W.B.A 'A very British test' Is what Quique Sanchez Flores is expecting. Now what does that mean? I think it's safe to say most of us have grown to accept how Tony Pulis sets out his teams, defensive first, playing for the draw and then trying to snatch the win. In my own research I found that West Brom are in fact just a little bit boring. (They've had the least shots of any team, the least passes of any team, the second least tackles per game, the least possesion of any team etc...) Something their own fans have been worried about, but it seems Pulis will be getting a new contract as he has done his thing and kept them up. Watford FC The Everton game was better now wasn't it? There seemed to be a bit of a buzz back within the team. A win tomorrow would see us break the 40 point mark and set us up nicely for the games against West Ham and Crystal Palace. And maybe Quique will start experimenting like he has mentioned in the past. All said and done, this has been an amazing year for Watford and hopefully QSF will be rewarded with a new contract soon. Against WBA I can't help but think though that Ighalo needs to be rested, it happened to Deeney so why can't it happen to Ighalo? Don't get me wrong he is trying, but I thoroughly believe our recent form would have been much better with someone up top with Troy who was a bit more aware of his surroundings and who was a little less greedy. Now you watch Ighalo play and score a hat-trick! My Team Predicted Result I'm going to go with an honest 1-1 here. Amrabat to score.
0-0 bore fest, last on MOTD. Wouldn't be surprised! Actually this game will be last on MOTD even if it's 5-5 I think.
Would love Jurado to get one in next game, think it will be pretty tight whichever way the game goes though and would be surprised if either team gets a 3-1 victory
This game has got the makings of a classic: Goals scored - WBA and Watford equal 18th in the league Shots on target - WBA 20th, Watford joint 16th Long balls per game - WBA 5th, Watford 1st Possession of the ball - WBA 20th, Watford 17th Headers won - WBA 1st, Watford 8th Prediction: 4-3 to the Horns
I’d like us to play the following team for this one: ……………GK……………… RB ….CB…. CB….LB …...,.Def MID………. RW MID… MID LW …….…….CF Instead though, I reckon we will play: ………..GK …RB CB CB LB ….DM DM…. DM…CF….Mid . ……….CF
Hark, I hear the unmistakable sound of Relegation Certs' brain clanking into gear; prepare to be patronised.
Easy to think you were being serious mate given Ighalo's only scored once in the last 13 league games. I'd like to think he'll rediscover his shooting boots before the season's out, don't want him being overtaken by a journeyman like Sigurdsson.
