Having thought back over my 50 odd years of watching professional football through every Division, I honestly cannot think of any single action that was less professional than what Holebas did, leading to their third goal.

To be fair I think we all thought that we were in for a special season a few games back. But for whatever reason its no argument that it's not working now!

I don't see anyone sticking up for the team or Silva today - or after Palace, despite there still being reasons - injuries suspensions and Michael Oliver and co.

The Foul by Deeney was not nearly as bad as the one on Richarlison at Palace. There first goal was offside, twice. When your luck is out, those decisions go against you.

What's up with Holebas? I presume after he was dropped after his atrocious display at Everton that Silva told him to go forth and multiply. It's now increasingly clear why we desperately appealed Zeegelaar's red card. A left back has to be on the January shopping list. He went to sleep for their second goal, nearly put them through for another one with a missed air kick just after the sending off, kept putting in terrible corners and then decided to have a power nap rather than try to defend for their third. He should never play for us again.

Kabasele at Bournmouth or just last week, Femenia running off at Palace?

I was never confident about today with the amount of injuries and suspensions that we currently have and I was half anticipating something like this in the back of my mind. The thing is the players that are missing at this time are important and give us a far better balance. Cleverley is a so essential to our team he is a massive miss, we don’t look anywhere near as dangerous down the wings without Kiko and Zeegalaar. Holebas was an absolute joke today poor defending and poor crosses and set pieces and his defending for their second goal was abysmal. Mariappa is a lovely bloke and all that but he is just not good at this level. I forgot that Étienne Capoue was even playing today when watching the game. He has to be gone soon! He will be so far behind our other midfielders when everyone is fit. Deeney was ineffective when on the pitch (surprise) and then he went and made a ridiculously stupid tackle and got sent off. Richarlison looks knackered the Brazilian league runs from May to December so that is understandable. Thank the Lord that it is January! I am not too worried though: Cleverley, Hughes, Pereyra (FIT) Kiko, Zeegelaar, Chalobah all to come back and hopefully we get a decent centre back in and a forward and all of a sudden we look a lot stronger.

I thought Carrillo was better, he took full back on and beat him a few times a couple of dangerous balls into the box as well ! Pereyra looked decent today him and Doucoure were the best players on the pitch by far shame about the players they had around them.

Maybe but we will no doubt have a negative repution with officials after this run of red cards.

Absolutely embarrassing. Deeney can **** off, Holebas can **** off, Capoue can **** off, and I'm not that sure about Silva anymore. What will really depress me further will be when people start blaming the referee. They were f***ing sh*te.

If I think back to the start of the season when it was predominantly new faces in the team, there felt like there was some unity. Chalobah & Doccoure's energy. Richarlison & Kiko's pace and quality. There was less moaning from the team, less in referees faces, less throwing hands in the air.

For example, Capoue just reminds me of everything sh*t about the past two seasons. Deeney is now having a similar effect. It brings the whole vibe of the team on the pitch down IMO.

As for the game, Holebas was shocking as was Capoue. Janmaat marginally less so. That second goal was horrible, everyone stood and watched.

Deeney even before the red did **** all. Funnily enough, Richarlison through the middle won more headers and genuinely looked better as a striker than Deeney did. As much as it pains me to say it, Deeney just has to go now, two STUPID red cards in one season tells me that he's also frustrated with his declining ability, it was like having 10 men at points even before he went off, nothing was sticking up top. He's just far too comfortable here, I'm sure we can convince Big Sam or Pardew to open the cheque book.

Gray I just feel sorry for. He could've made it 3-2. It wasn't an easy chance but should've been on target at least.

One positive was Pereyra actually in the middle. @NathWFC has been screaming for it a while to be fair. Albeit it was against 10 men but he saw so much more of the ball and I think the deeper central midfield position actually suits him. A bit like what Silva / De Bruyne do for City.

Great strike from Doccoure, POTS so far. Missing next game so we have no hope.

Carrillo has ability and quality but he's just a bit of a coward. I don't think the Prem is for him.

As for Marco, this 3 at the back system just needs to go already. I understand his options are limited but when you have one maybe two half decent defenders, why play with 3? I simply don't get why he will not try Deeney & Gray up top together? That was too similar to Zola's Yeovil match like others have said but some of the football we played earlier on in the season was fantastic so it's way too soon to be talking about sacking him.

I do believe we're in a relegation battle but will be safe due to the amount of crap teams in the Prem this season. Also, with Chalobah, Hughes, Kiko, Zeegelar, Cleverley and some others still to return, plus whatever Gino brings in January we'll be alright but it's really not fun right now. If it's not Richarlison or Doccoure then I have no idea where the goal is coming from.

he's just a crap player, always has been. Bad attitude and can’t defend for ****. People like him because he looks skillfull for a defender and we’ve never had players like that before, but truth be told he’s just a steaming heap of ****.

I thought of kabesele, but not in the same bracket. Holebas saw the bloke coming, and just fell over as the geezer stormed into our area - for a bump on his cheek. At least Kabesele and Femenia were actually injured.

He gets more free kicks than anyone in the division so I'm not sure that's true. Even today he got Hogg sent off through one of his improvisations when really the second yellow was harsh.

Well - that was a good first game to go and watch live this season. Very poor. Even before the red card they were the better team. I wasn't happy Deeney started - and I really hope he doesn't for a while. He offers nothing this season up front and his attitude is shocking.

I did stick it out for the full game - at least we got to see a great Doucure goal.

To top it all of before the game the soles on both of my shoes fell off so I had cold wet feet for the whole game. Not sure the odds on that happening to both feet.

And their second goal was frankly criminal. Teams niw know if they attack is they will get goals.

Ever since Austin left, we seem to of lost discipline organization and a little stability in the background of what is a merry go round of players and coaching staff. Today was absolutely diabolical, the ref was horrendous and some big decisions wrong but the players never showed up, Deeney's red was harsh but what the **** was he thinking. Holebas just giving up a dropping to the ground for their 3rd, that was worse than Kabasele at muff and nobody says anything to him. (As far as I could see on the tele) and this keeping possession knocking it around in neat little triangles in our own half, well that team from emmer dale loved that. Capoue needs to **** off take Holebas with him and ******* Gray is championship at best.

Only good thing is that we wont have to watch Deeney play for a while...

I don't know what else to say really.... Apart from the fact that i've literally become immune to even caring anymore  I mean, something is going on behind the scenes and it's disrupting everything and I think the finger has to be pointed at Silva. The club isn't even explaining why Okaka keeps getting dismissed from the lineup

Ever since Everton came sniffing, we've had nothing but poor results (mostly). We had that 3-0 win against Newcastle, but to be honest, that is nothing amazing considering we SHOULD be expecting to win those games anyways. We came CLOSE to taking points away from Everton and Spurs; but 'close' is not good enough. The closest we came to a point today was before the game farking kicked off. What's worse is we can't even blame the red card for losing - 'Uddersfield absolutely deserved that result and their fans were absolutely class today.

That said, we are in a terrible slump; and that is before Xmas has passed! I would 100% take Dyche's boring but effective football from now until the rest of the year (just to keep us up). It's a shame that his current side are actually competing for European football tho, so I can't see us doing an Everton and snatching the 'succeeding managers' from other clubs

We made Huddersfield look very good. To say they looked like they wanted it more would be the under statement of the year. Another performance like that and you have to ask the question whether the manager is up to it. We keep throwing games away, where we should be taking points.

Complete and utter shambles, has to be up there with our worst premier league performances.

The only silver lining is that it is very clear which players should be moved on in January and hopefully Marco is given the money to replace the dead weight in this team.

I said it in the week, we have reached our peak. Can we hang on and save ourselves?
We are 5hit right now, make no mistake. Losing to Palace was bad enough, the loss today is awful. 4-1 at home! That is f**king merde...
Can we make it to 40 points? On current form, no way.
Should we have let Silva go for £10/12 million when we had the chance?
We have Silva now, but is he really fools gold? I hope not.
We will go down on current form. The Bristol City game will do nothing for confidence.
I thought we were bad under WM, but this looks worrying for all fans right now.
4-1, l am struggling to believe it.....

Haven’t posted on here in a while but think there’s been a massive over reaction from some.

I don’t understand how people expect us to play at the same level as we were at the start of the season with Kaboul, Femenia, Britos, Cathcart Chalobah, Zeeglar, Hughes, etc all out. Having players out in key areas makes a massive difference.

Yes we’ve been poor and it’s frustrating to lose games in the way we have been but it happens. We’ve been unlucky with injuries and refereeing decisions (every 50/50 going against us) which has compounded a period of bad form.

Today we were undoubtedly terrible though. Also Deeney has been **** the last few months and the challenge was mildly stupid but that doesn’t mean it was a red card

Mariappa, Kabasele, Gray all trying but simply not good enough

Doucoure and Carrillo the only decent performances for me

We should probably have let Silva leave for Everton, his head has been turned and the players know it, you don’t get 3 red cards in 3 games like that without something being wrong in the dressing room

On my way back on the train ( I did stay for the entire 90 minutes). That was really incredibly depressing ! No idea if the Deeney tackle was a red or not as I sit over the other side but in all honesty I think that had little impact on the result . We were blown away by Huddersfield in the first half hour and that was when theg game was lost !They were very well organised , quicker to every ball and more clinical .

We picked up where we left off against palace with too many long balls . We actually improved when Deeney went off and we started to pass it around a bit.

Second half we improved a bit but they kept catching us with the diagonals to our left where holebas was out of position .

Then when Hogg got sent off and gray coming on there was a glimmer as we looked the better side for 20 minutes or so and stated stretching them a bit more . Fantastic goal by Doucoure once again but ultimately meant nothing ,

I’m not going go too over the top here . It’s clear Silva isn’t the messiah we were hoping though . I’m not sure he can adapt that when we were playing so well we were dependant on passing the ball out quickly from the back , without Chalobah ,Cleverly and Femenia to a degree we can’t do this effectively . Capoue just annoys me now , he is so slow and languid . The quality of the passing coveted up our poor defence in the early part of the season

I do think Silva should be able to adapt even if Missing key players if he is such a great manager , especially as we weren’t
Playing a top six side here . His decision to go with a bs k three was clearly a poor one as we looked much better with a back 4.

However I don’t think this is some kind of doomsday moment . It’s been a largely entertaining season ,we are top ten still(somehow ) and I genuinely think once we get some of the injured/suspended players back we will start picking up results again ( if we can also avoid more sendings off ).

I also don’t nevesaarily think this slump
Is related to the speculation surrounding Silva not its hard to know either way .

Funny that cause if you'd have come on this board just a number of weeks ago no one was suggesting anything other than we were heading for a Euro place and that they were ready to marry Marco! More knee jerking than one of those traditional German dances.

I say it every week. Gray is disgustingly bad. Holebas is disgustingly bad. I’d give them both away for free, if it gets them out of our club sooner.

The only difference is that this week, the rest of them were pretty awful too. No heart, no bite/ aggression, no discipline.

Huddersfield were awful, yet they demolished us. Today was as bad, if not worse, than the very worst of Mazarri.
