I know, We’ve all seen it change, just like you. None of us spotted it until after the Newcastle game, just like you. All of us, including you, only spotted it once it started happening. That’s not spotting a trend, it’s just commenting on what is unravelling in front of you.

If Holebas was too thick to notice that their right winger was rather quick, shouldn't he have been warned in advance? Then he wouldn't have stood and watched as the winger chased that long punt forward

Then why do my posts get so much hostility when I post them? There were countless posts saying how wrong I was after the Palace match. Go back and read them if you like.

You can say what you like, but very few were in agreement with me after the Palace match.

People were in complete denial over our home form. We've been poor all season at home. I've yet to see this amazing team "live" and I've been to every home match, including that pathetic cup defeat to Bristol City. Excuses were made, that we've played a lot of top 6 clubs, which is true, but Brighton, Stoke and now Huddersfield are not top 6. There are probably the weakest away sides in the league.

We've won just two home games and conceded the most goals by far at home in the entire league. It's just not good enough considering the talent we can call on.

I know losing hurts but how have we gone from "maybe the best watford team ever" to "everyone is awful, this player is garbage, Silva out etc." in the space of a couple of weeks? I don't feel like it's been a Mazzarri-esque run, in that there have been a couple of good performances that just haven't yielded results (today was pretty terrible admittedly), but the rhetoric seems to be identical to last season.

Haven't see the red card yet, but people believing we lost that because of Troy are deluded. No it didn't help us in anyway shape or form, but two pieces of piss poor defending cost us dearly.

Capoue was absolutely piss awful from the start, he slows us down and his all round contribution abysmal.

What the hell was Holibas doing for the 3rd ? For all his faults Deeney has never done anything like that.

And our supposed saviour from Deeney ever playing for us again, Andre Gray contributed **** all, when it was 10 v 10 and 10% more space available on the pitch. His first three passes all went to Holibas, Prodil and Peyrera.

    **** **** and more ****

It's a big swing, and there's always events that lead to a run of results, but that's now 7 defeats from the last 10 games. That's not insignificant or just a blip. Today's performance, on the back of this run is extremely worrying, and it's a run that can see a coach get the sack, that's for sure.

I thought that a second red in a season (effectively red v Stoke cos a 3 match ban) gets you at least a 4 match ban-maybe longer

I had a friend who was exactly like you. He wasn't afraid to say it like it was. He said things which were unpopular and he said what he knew, even when people didn't want to hear it.

He was proven right but the more he was right, the less people liked it, because it meant they were wrong.

He called So much and he spoke only the truth but people hated him so much that they killed him for it. His name was Jesus.

    My 2 cents..

    - Credit to Huddersfield. A hard-working side with plenty of passion, who all play for their manager and fans (what does that feel like again?). Good fans also.
    - Disgusting performance. Silva has had his head turned and is doing a half arsed job at the moment at managing this team.
    - After 2 mins, it was clear the players weren't up for it. Lethargic display, 2nd to every ball and gently jogging around. Why should any of us pay our hard earned money and be subject to **** like that? I've absolutely no problem with losing, but a lack of effort is completely unacceptable. Silva must take most of the blame today, but why wasn't our captain rallying the players? Both manager and players need to take a hard look at themselves this evening.
    - Deeney is done here. Couldn't see the red card from where I was sitting, but he no longer at the level we need. Time to go. If we have to keep him though, play him up top with Gray. A lone striker in this formation does not work as Deeney isn't smart enough/technically giftted enough to play on his own, and Gray needs to play off the shoulder of someone and not on his own. Let's play 2 up top until Jan when we can reevaluate things.

As terrible as Gray is, he's at least a handful. Deeney is a cartload but of ****.

He's so ******* lazy these days it's sickening. Him being sent off and hopefully banned for 4 games is the biggest positive out of today. Hope he leaves the club before he serves that suspension.

Pretty terrible that our highest paid player has made himself ineligible for a minimum of 18% of our games, and we are not quite half way through the season.

I don't believe this is a coincidence. Premiership teams do their homework and make adjustments and decisions to exploit weaknesses in the opposition. We have players and a strategy predicated to making us dominate midfield courtesy of very good passing and running off the ball. But our defence is questionable, to say the least. So opposition teams press our players in midfield and in our defence to the point where the system breaks down. It has broken down for several reasons: We're playing with half our reserves, who are not good enough. Most teams (like Huddersfield) are big and fast and know how to be physical without breaking the laws. Watford have several players who don't seem to have the stomach/capability for a physical challenge and they over-respond or make cowardly challenges, which give away a) the ball and b) too many free-kicks, yellow cards and red cards. Carillo is an example: I actually think he is a good player and would have him in the team, but he has to be used in the right way - he is never going to be a ball-winner in this league.

Can't really comment on the match as we stood up and calmly walked out the instant their second goal went in. We weren't the only ones either. I question the sanity of anyone who stayed beyond half time.

    This team has no heart.

Jon Marks said on 3 cr radio that they spoke to TD after the game (he was warming down on the pitch) to ask if it would be appealled and he said -very firmly Yes.

Having backed MS over the Zeeglar appeal will the club also back TD-what have they got to lose-unless (cue conspiracy theory) "they" have it in for us and it becomes a 5 or 6 match ban

OMG is that why the club might appeal so MS has to play Okaka !

There's a good joke I read the other day that I'm going to adapt for this Watford team. See below.

A group of surgeons are in the hospital, having a debate about what sort of patients are the best to operate on.

The first surgeon says "Librarians, it's got to be librarians." "Why?" ask the others. "Well" he says "you open them up and their inside are all neatly arranged, just like the alphabet or a neatly aranged book shelf".

The second surgeon says "No you're wrong. Accountants are the best. All their innards and organs are numbered. Makes it so easy."

The third surgeon says "I'm sorry you are both wrong, footballers are the best patients. Why? I operated on the entire Watford squad last week and each of them was gutless, spineless, heartless and their heads were interachangable from their arses."

Oliver apparently told Silva and Deeney that it was the 'speed' of the tackle that did for him.

    http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....michael-oliver-reveals-reasons-watford-937543

Even if he wasn't in control, and therefore reckless, that's a yellow card rather than a red.

Some would say Deeney isn't quick enough to anything at speed!

    Maybe aggressive...

Probably not helped by the fact within 5 minutes of the game we were surrounding Oliver having a go at him or the fact Troy got into trouble last we had this ref.

Just tortured myself by watching the highlights to get a clear view of what happened:

1st goal - Capoue half arsed closing down of Mooy, if he chucks his body at that the ball gets cleared. ******. **** off.

2nd goal - Holebas doesn't even try to close down the cross. ****. **** off.

3rd goal - Nothing wrong with Holebas, big girl.

I fecking hate Capoue & Holebas. Don't watch back the highlights you'll be even more angry.

That was the week that was!
After the debacle at Palace and my dismal journey back I wasn't in good spirits. This despite a nourishing two hours last night of writing an action plan for the club!
I thought things could not worsen.
    Fool IBB,utter fool.
On returning home from work my car had a distinct smell of petrol.Even for one with such limited mechanical knowledge,I knew this was wrong.
A leak in the fuel pipe.No time to hire a car as Hertz in WGC is shut.
Taxi to the game.Lift to St Albans afterwards and taxi from there.
    £60.
£60 and that candy arsed, mealy mouthed idea of a strategy and execution.
Surely to goodness everyone of us knew Huddersfield would come at us after the late trauma of Tuesday?
    As Malt says,so many questions.
Oliver has always been a jumped up little toad but he cannot be blamed for our performance.
    Why start Deeney?
I've questioned his leadership ability before but red or not, to give that steaming pile of horse manure Oliver the chance to send him off was moronic. Rage, rage against the dying of the light?
Time and time again Holebas is caught out with a runner behind,Wagner certainly did his research. After that he was lamentably awful, save one good cross. Pitiful display and I like Holebas!
Wrong on so many levels today.
Great goal by Doucoure but Silva needs to earn his corn now.
    Huddersfield fans were excellent.
