On the bright side the only place Rich is going is to the championship with us.

I genuinely think based on current performance Silva won’t be manager next season (obviously he will see out this season like the last 2 cocks)

Hogg sent off, normally would be good, but now it's a case of 10 men beat 10 men, and sounds like we got our 'lucky' sending off (I've not seen it though). No point having the luck when 3-0 down already.....unless of course.....go on the lads!!

The good news is at the early part of the season the bottom few clubs had hardly any points, now they’ve improved and started taking points off of the few teams above them so none of them have that many points, so as totally **** as we are we still haven’t changed league position. The bad news is that with every passing game we get worse and worse and more questions are raised than are solved.

Terrible, once again, what was Deeney thinking? There was absolutely no need to make that challenge and make the referee question whether it was red or not. Let's also not forget we were already 2 down at that point.

Gray is ******* useless, can't believe he missed that chance. I'd say it's up there with the Ellington transfer.

Worst home result since that Yeovil game.

Funny how are dip in form came alongside Silva wanting to leave Everton eh? Very concerning that our slump has started earlier this season. Had we started the slump this early last season we'd of been relegated.

No Doucoure next match either right as that was his 5th yellow.

All on Silva, that. Playing a team on a terrible run of away form and he opts for a third centre back instead of another body in midfield. We have only played well in a 3-4-3 when Hughes has played, as he drops inside to link the midfield to the attack. There is a massive gap between the two in the middle and Deeney in the centre of the pitch. It was bad enough on Tuesday night against Palace when we lost the battle in the middle of the pitch but to repeat the selection again today but substituting Cleverley's energy for Capoue's languidness was a disaster waiting to happen.

Lots of bad decisions by both the referee and some of our players but the worst decision of the day was Silva's.

Just awful in nearly every way imaginable. In fact I'm struggling to think of a worse week in 20+ years of following this club (other than one involving relegation) than this one. 3 defeats to similar level opponents, 3 red cards and general disarray through suspensions, injuries and poor officials. Form plummeting and players probably exhausted just at the time of the season when the number of games goes mental. We must have played nearly 2 hours with 10 men this week.

By this time last season I was confident Mazzarri had us safe. I can't say the same for Marco.

I called it after Palace, things are just not right at the club, and got slaughtered for it.

I said Micheal Oliver will do his usual to us and I got slaughtered for saying that as well. With referees its getting ridiculous now, but it's always the same guys so at least you know who they are.

    Chickens coming home to roost.

Today is as bad as it gets. This will be a watershed moment I believe. Whatever we had in the early part of the season is long gone. 7 defeats in 10.

The thing is I'm not even disappointed as I expected it. Maybe this is the wake up call people need, as there is no hiding place after this.

I honestly think that Silva has been the victim of some sort of Face/off conspiracy and that’s actually Walter sitting in the dug out instead. I cannot right at this moment tell the difference between us under Walter in the latter part of the last season and us under Silva now, other than currently we are actually a whole lot worse.

Deeney has earned himself a nice little break over Christmas hasn’t he?

That angry little bitch Silva will be moaning and blaming the refereeing as per.

Ref might have been poo, but let's not give Deeney an out, a stupid tackle to make with another two Watford players near by. We were also already two down at that point.

Other than jumping up and down a bit he's been on a break all season. But the red today should really result in a successful appeal. Although he looked out of control it was a one-footed tackle, which won the ball (and made zero contact with their player), and he swept their player over with the shin of his other leg while it was sliding along the ground. Oliver was on completely the wrong side and received no help at all from the linesman who should have been there to bail him out.

I’ve supported this club for a long time. I have never left at half time - today I did.

I FEEL embarrassed, ashamed and depressed to call myself a fan right at this moment of writing. From what O saw that was one of the most disjointed, unorganised and downright pitifully ***** displays from a team in yellow wearing the badge.

I heard the second half wasn’t much better and did they go down to ten but still scoreI have to give credit to Huddersfield today. They had a game plan and it worked. Well done them and enjoy the three points and a happy journey back to Yorkshire.

As for us you can blame injury and injustices from a ref all you want but the 11 out there have to do a LOT better than that.

Formation was totally wrong setup was totally wrong and Silva stood there like he was going through one emotion.

Special shout out to Moog and Larry who stayed the whole 90 and whoever else went and sat through the mud pie of a football match.

I’m really peed off and so frustrated at such a gutless performance from overpaid statues.

Carrillo is also a waste of space, absolutely no end product. Another Jurado/Amrabat type player who flatters to deceive and ultimately contributes precisely **** all.

If only that were the worst of our issues though.

As HB1 has said before, Oliver always does this to us.
And the performance today has proved him correct.

Something is very wrong at the club that is clear and that’s one in the eye for all those who said this wasn’t the case!

I'm sick of it. This theme of something rotten at the club in every single Prem season can no longer be a coincidence. Injuries, ill discipline, stubborn coaches, I'm bloody tired of the same recurring ****!

Nobody can blame the referee for today.

Unbelievable. Honestly. Another promising start which looks more and more like devolving into another miserable second half of the season.

I think for all the rhetoric the owners espouse about having stable infrastructure behind the Head Coach, there's clearly a fundamental issue with players bursting out of the gates for a new manager and then just wilting for the second half. I honestly didn't think the Everton stuff affected the players but perhaps it did. Silva wanted to go. He'd been here five minutes and refused to commit to the club or the players. That's got to have affected them. Either way they know they'll probably be playing for somebody else next season, so what's the point? We should have let him go if he wanted to go, or he should have shown his commitment to the club.

Today really was diabolical on just about every level. Deeney's done. Sorry Troy and thank you for everything but this is becoming undignified now. I hope Gray comes good but right now he looks like a really poor buy. I think we got desperate and panicked, frankly. Capoue's star has faded so fast that he'd be lucky to get another chance at this level I think, but regardless I don't want him here. Pereyra has been stuttering in second gear (when he's actually been fit) since he came here really, people keep waiting to see the player we were promised but he's consistently failed to deliver. Carillo can't run or cross and just goes missing too often to be any threat. Holebas... pfft. His attitude just about epitomises what's wrong here at the moment.

I just feel so deflated after such a promising start, but then I remember feeling similarly under Quique and Walter, too at certain points. For all the plaudits we won earlier the season, we really haven't done that much better. With the teams below us all picking up more points, we're going to have to start making some fundamental changes to avoid being dragged into the mire. Not a good day to be a Hornet :(

At the game. Not playing well but the officials have totally ruined this game. First goal offside and sending off very harsh. The level of incompetence being shown by Oliver and the link (Who has now missed the ball going out of play twice less than 3 yards from him) is truly staggering. Even more staggering that after this display
That linesman in front of the rookery had a stinker and not for the 1st time. Including the ref it was some of the worst officiating ive seen in a long time.

Hmm. think everything that could wrong did today !

Bad luck (1st goal ) red card and generally poor play against a side who were quicker and stronger than us even when they had 10 men.

No offence but you must have been watching a different game. There where several other players who were far worse out there today. Holebas chief amongst them - worst player by a countrymile
