Btw, I’m reporting in today from Boston. MA rather than a Lincolnshire GT pilgrimage. Described by a local today as too cold to snow.

 

I don´t see where the we can´t score very well either comes from. We´ve scored 26 goals this season only 7 teams have scored more. Huddersfield, West Brom and Palarce have only scored 12 not to mention Swansea with 9.

Looking at recent history if we can score 3 today we will win or if they are so bad they don´t score.

 

I hope we win this. Their manager is one if the great anti-semites

 

Pedant Alert - you can get 7 or 9 points from 3 fixtures but you can't get 8.

Silva stumbles on a magic team formula today with Capoue Deeney Gray all in the side.

Maybe it’s just me but playing a 442 with Deeney behind Gray could work especially against a team like Huddersfield.

 

On the subject of Capoue, how telling is it that he’s happy here, content to warm the bench and get zero game time.

How do you know he's happy? Have you asked him?

Maybe he'll be off in Jan, or maybe he thinks he won't have to wait too long to outlast Silva

 

I think it's from the fact that we have the worst strikers in the top two divisions

Ok, I appreciate this article was from October but there were loads around suggesting he is happy and that he was looking to sign a new contract, despite not being near the team.

 

Silva was asked about this in the press conference, and although he said playing with one striker is “his way”, he didn’t rule out starting Gray and Deeney together at some point. To be honest I really like the 3-4-2-1, there’s been nothing wrong with the way we’ve been playing. Points have been lost mostly through naivety and a lack of ruthlessness (from all players), rather than tactics.

 

But when they’re together it’s like magic Silva dust is sprinkled by Snow White - hi ho
