Fair enough. Just seems to be the same point over and over again (which I agree with to some extent) but of course you have right of reply.

I think you're usually a very good poster, so I'm not doing that at all. In this instance, I think you're over the top, and just a bit too eager to find a problem with Walter, when as has been pointed out to you, he's said nothing unusual that top managers don't come out with as a matter of routine.

Good grief, those particular comments yes but you have painted it as some kind of pattern not a one off. No wonder people find talking with you such hard work.

Does it really matter what Mazzari has said? We have just won two games and appear to be safe for next season. I want us to win every game like every other supporter but realistically we are not going to do that. As has already been mentioned we are the side show for Tottenhan tomorrow and if we win or draw it will be how badly did the spuds play and if we lose it will be how wonderful the spuds side truly are. No one (and I include the players) really cares what Mazzari says a this stage.

HB1 you have made some valid points but todays news is already forgotten by the rest of us. I suggest you have a nice cool beer before the game, relax and just enjoy watching Watford. It is not the end of the world if we win, lose or draw tomorrow.

"They win two games and they think they are good. Same as last year really. I do remember they were very fickle then. One of them said he would chop me up into little pieces. Can't wait to send their fans back down to reality...again.

I know I am generalizing but they are so easy to wind up"

    Oh dear.

It seems to me that posters on here don't have the full transcript of Maz press conference. If you are relying on press stories then they also just use the parts that influence the story they want told.
Maz also talked up our chances of getting something out of the game. He answered questions that were put to him and so people can use his words in a positive way or put a negative slant on it if that's what they want to do. Clearly some people are ultra negative and want to influence fault where there is non. (in this instance)

With regard to the match, I have to say that the way we played on Tuesday, mixing it up but mainly on the floor through midfield was excellent and has only been played by the team 3 or 4 times this season. It coincides with players playing mainly in their best positions and so particularly with Doucoure where he was playing from deep and linking up the play with Cleverley and Capoue which was excellent. There appeared a plan, there appeared to be cohesion and signs they had been practicing certain passing moves to keep possession - the big question is why they hadn't played that way for most of the season?

Tomorrow is a different matter: very difficult to see past a home win - but we live in hope :)

Hb1. I can't deny that I'm happy to see that you've been descended upon by a pack of wolves today rather than me having to fend you off alone with the trusty sword of common sense as happened the other evening. Now that I'm going to challenge you again, I'd put the chances of you responding pithily as moving from 60/40 to at least 40/60. Those aren't precise odds of course. Nor should they be viewed as approximating to anything that actually pertains to the real world whatsover. They are simply the throwaway and meaningless figures of urban chit-chat.

You strike me as a figure who's fallen out of the left-hand-side of a subbuteo box dressed in a Barcelona shirt. A bit of Chopper Harris at No.3. and plenty of Norman Hunter at No.6 too. But a whole lot of whimsical Glenn Hoddle at No.10 as well, trusting in one sort of medium or another to get you through.

What's for sure is that, like a subbuteo figure, you've certainly got a low centre of gravity. Helps on the football pitch. But, of course, wandering around in a pair of y-fronts full of sh.t would also have a similar effect. He gets knocked down, he gets up again, you ain't never gonna keep him down ...

Why do you do it? You don't particularly like Walter. Neither do I. You don't like his pre-match comments but you have absolutely no idea as to their motivation. Walter's the head coach with a wealth of experience. We have no experience in that field whatsoever. We're tenth in the EPL. It's spring. Enjoy ...

I can't respond with a percentage analogy, as you've never heard that expression in your life. You see, reading my posts can educate you. So you've got to appreciate at least that.

So, I will go along with your Subbuteo analogy instead. I see you as a John Burridge figure, in his Palace kit. You can take a few hits, but eventually you just snap. Ok, you get glued again, but you fall apart as soon as you take another direct hit.

Still you can still wave the green stick thing in the hope everything gets deflected, but it rarely works.

Very amusing for a non native speaker I have to say. Could I be 'educated' by you? Hilarious! Do you know anything about anything else at all other than football? Even that's questionable ...

What I need to know is would a popcorn scoffing audience enjoy an early evening pre-match 'classic' or should I simply go out for a nice walk on this very pleasant evening instead?

That's a rubbish come back. I did have hope for you, as the first one was inventive and quite amusing. This is weak.....1/10 (that means 1 out of 10, not 10-1 on, just in case you get confused again).

    I love Subbuteo.

When I was clearing out the cupboard, prior to having the new boiler installed,I found the box, deep joy!

We had a Jonny Williams that was glued so often only his head, with sideburns and Mexican 'tache ( painted by one of my brothers) was visible.

Is it too much to hope that Harry Kane will be incased in Areldite tomorrow?

Intereresting. Are you claiming that you are actually a statistician then hb1? Previous performances would suggest not. How about 20th century Catalan history? The floor's yours. Could be a 'classic' ...

I've always felt guilty. I gave him the car I won in a tournament to compensate but he died four months later!

    Predictions for tomorrow:

    If we lose -
60/40 Someone will post that we are in danger of sleepwalking into relegation.
90/10 Someone will post that Walter needs to be sacked.
70/30 Someone will post that the team put no effort in, didn't try and don't care about the club (even if it is the same players who gave everything on Tuesday)
50/50 Someone will post about the disconnect between the team and the fans
100/0 Nath will be the first person to post after the final whistle.

    If we win
70/30 Someone will post derogatory remarks about the Walter out brigade
60/40 Someone will post that we will finish above 10th and possibly make Europe
    100/0 Nath will not post

    If we draw
90/10 Someone will post that we were lucky and Spuds could have scored 10

    Any result
SS Billy will appear on the forum and make a *** of himself

This thread really made me laugh. Firstly that they think we all believe we'll win the game (and not one person suggesting we might be joking), but also the arrogance. I think 4-0 is the average expected win. In guessing they will win, they have a better team, sounds like our team will be depleted. But not one of their fans can entertain the thought they might not win. One th

That's a very strange thing to say to someone on a football forum. It's like going to church and complaining that all they ever talk about is religious stuff.
