If our midfield plays to our potential we should keep their attacks away from our box, which should help our shaky CBs. We should also remember that Kabasele/Mariappa is our most regular CB partnership this season. I was at the Liverpool game with a scouser and his main note was Liverpool resorted to too much long ball because of our midfield defensive shield.
Regarding sock wear for tomorrow, I feel I must bring to your attention a worryimg trend devoloping in Wales: https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/qi/videos/1306/long_socks/
I think we can all agree that whatever the result we just hope that football is the winner at the end of the day.
If they iz really the swans, then why ain't there away kit black?? I've nevar seen red swans mate. End of.
Closer than you think! On my Level 5 coaching course at Bisham Abbey, there were four females. One morning we were having a chat on court, before we started for the day. One of the tutors,a venerable gentleman, approached us and said " you're girls, can one of you mend my trousers for me?". The appropriately named Jo Louis looked up at him, muttered something very impolite and jogged away shaking her head. The other three of us just stared at him in disbelief.
Midfield to dominate today, back to performances of Muff, Southampton and can also see a controversial recall for Pereyra despite Cleverley's form; just need that bit of creativity in the final third. Would like to see Kiko back aswell today! Starting XI Karnezis Kiko - Wague - Kabasele - Holebas Doucouré - Chalobah Carillo - Pereyra - Richarlison Gray Subs Gomes Janmaat Mariappa Capoué/ Hughes Cleverley Success Troy 3-0 win - Gray x2, Pereyra
I know I shouldn't be saying this, but if a group of men were having a chat and a female (venerable) came up and said "my car won't start, do any of you know anything about engines?" my first reaction wouldn't be 'how sexist' but 'let's have a look and see if I can help'. (Ducks)
Don't understand why people want to see Wague, can't get in ahead of Mariappa or an ageing Huth last season so doubt he's good enough.
Because he dislocated his shoulder on his debut for Leicester and was ruled out for the rest of the season. Context is essential.
Presumably Gino and his team saw something in Wague and thought they could get value for money on him. A large part of their business plan seems to be backing their judgement against other people's. And their history suggests they're pretty good at it, too, but not infallible. I've not seen Wague play at all, let alone several times, so don't know what he's like. Can anybody on this thread describe him and his style for us?
Despite one or two people writing Gray off it's nice to see many predicting he will score today. I'm sure he doesn't read WFC Forums so the negativity of a few won't affect him but goalscoring is a lot about confidence and he just needs one to get going. He has a decent scoring record so I think we need to give him a chance before we put him in the Ellington category.
Maybe they should get Uncle Dave to mediate, probably by throwing the more talented one off the Forum.
Can richarlison play as a striker? If we're playing in channels, maybe a way to fit pereyra and cleverley in...
Have you considered sending in your cv for the vacancy created by the Sampson debacle ? I think for £250k compensation this forum would reluctantly consider releasing you.
https://twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/911576125289230336 Chalobah injured in training so Capoue in. Femenia in for Janmaat.
Cleverley to play next to Doucoure by the looks of it, which means Capoue is preferred ahead of Pereyra in CAM role.
Was hoping for Deeney and Gray up top today but perhaps being away 1 was always more likely. What's going on with Hughes by the way? Injured or just not fancied yet by Silva?
Hopefully it's not his ACL or anything like that. I guess Pereyra's match fitness still isn't up to scratch which is why Capoue is ahead of him. Still a pretty decent team a part from Mapps at the back and no Chalobah. Solid bench as well with Karnezis, Janmaat, Wague, Watson, Pereyra, Success, Deeney Feel sorry for Hughes, I guess they are seeing something in training that he is just not doing well enough in yet. Probably the massive step up from a small club like Derby to Watford is too bigger jump for him. He is probably still getting use to the quality of the team and the tough training regime that he has never had before. Let's be serious in the championship you can drink 10 pints on a Friday night and go have a kick about the next day. In the Prem it is a whole new ball game, something Derby just aren't use to as the small club they are.
