It baffles me why you'd spend both the time calculating this and the time typing up the post when there's more chance of Jesus turning up with a bunch of Easter Eggs made by Princess Diana and Elvis tomorrow.
You think West Brom will get 9 more points and Palace 18? I'll have some of what you're having please!
Southampton look doomed. Nasty run in with Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Leicester away to come and an FA cup distraction. Not playing well and the only thing going for them is a game in hand (Swansea).
Ah but as Ken Furphy said "Games in hand are not necessarily games won". My brothers and I always refer to GIH as 'Furphys'. We were discussing such matters as we walked up Harwoods Road many years back. A little lad behind us said to his dad: "Daddy, what's a Furphy?". His dad said "I don't know son".
Pardew has walked the plank this morning. Truly a terrible appointment from every possible way of looking at it. That should be him finished at the top level now.
Of course but why be generous? Try and be accurate or have an educated guess based on current form etc.. if you're going to write a post like that. To be honest predicting anything is pointless really.
I've been very generous and pointlessly predict we'll win all our remaining games this season. I think I've added a load of value to this thread with my comment. I really hope people take it seriously.
In Australia, furphy is a slang word for a story that's either absurd or just a plain old lie. A topical example would be Cameron Bancroft's apology.
I hope for West Broms sake they don't have to pay compensation. Was an awful appointment and showed the two in charge did not have a clue.
Gotta love the standard armchair supporters reaction on facebook. "should never have sacked Pulis". "You deserve to go down now". "blah blah blah". Same as always when these plastic fans have no idea of the club they are talking about other than a few things they see on MOTD - same as when we sacked Silva and when Palace sacked FDB. Annoying and feel sorry for the genuine WBA fans trying to defend their club but I guess you need to accept that other clubs plastic armchair fans are always going to comment on something they no nothing about.
OK it looks like I'm going to have to spell out to you the point I am trying to make. I'm basically saying that we could possibly need 3 more points to be sure of survival in my estimated possible worse case scenario, but that realistically our existing 37pts should probably be enough. That is why I am being generous to the other teams, because I am looking at what I consider is the BEST they might possibly do, not what I think they will actually do, though we all know that in football anything can happen.
So, using statistics you've worked out that we may have enough points but may not. We may stay up but we might not. Top top top statistical analysis.
Why didn't you just say that to begin with instead of going into the ins and outs of the cats arse? Actually forget it or we'll go round in circles here.
Nooooooooooooo! This is more like it: Charlton: 'We're aware of his limitations.' Law: 'He scored 3 or 4 goals against Estudiantes ... but if you do that, he shouldn't be too much bother.'
Agreed that he deserves to end up on the managerial scrapheap. You can bet your bottom dollar though that it won't be long before another badly run club sacks their manager and then appoints Pardew as they have no ambition, drive or vision to find someone better.
Don't forget the pundit equivalent of Pardew - Garth Crooks - came out with this statement, lacking any sense of irony.............. If Pardew's finished, this gem should also spell the end of Crook's having a say on anything football related ever again!
I was absolutely devastated to see west ham's result. It's not looking good for southampton. Their squad still seems miles and miles better than ours I reckon. A strange situation.
Might be able to pinch an underrated Italian striker from them if they do go down ? I agree. We cried ourselves to sleep on here about losing Boufal and Lemina to them and some bloke on here keeps whining on about Gabbiadini....
That whopper has based his love of gabbiadini on just one match which happened over a year ago now, so I hear....
https://www.expressandstar.com/spor...own-as-one-of-west-broms-worst-ever-managers/ The inside track from the local paper on Pardew. Some of this is amazing, particularly that they booked the Barcelona trip not expecting to beat Liverpool in the cup but then went anyway, did three hours training, spent the rest of the time boozing and Pardew lost his jacket, phone and wallet the night before Taxigate. Still, I fully expect Garth Crooks to be recommending a Premier League club hires him for the next available vacancy...
