And they’re having they’re annual drop off. Second now behind Accrington. Let’s hope they drop right off and lose in the playoffs!

There is a deliciously real prospect that they will fail dismally again. However they play Barnet on Saturday and by then the Bees will have sacked and re appointed Martin Allen 27 more times!
Palace have another Sakho it seems to me,to go with the tubby one and the funny haired one. The little right back sounds like he's named 'W****r' Sakho!

    Stoke

West Brom are more or less down, it will be a total miracle if they survived now.
Palace is a right horrible little ground and I still remember the fight with another girl at the P/O final over a Snickers bar.
Stoke probably one of the worst footballing teams in England to watch. Boring tactics from every coach.

Stoke is also one of the most unwelcoming grounds for away fans. When I arrived at the station (for the 2-0 win there - seems a long time ago that), I was virtually frogmarched up the road by the police to where the buses departed for the visiting supporters to the ground. This was despite my appeals that I needed something to eat first - "For your own safety" was the response!

Lovely. Mind you, the ride back to the station on the top deck looking down with ****-eating grins on our faces at the neanderthalic hordes trudging up the road was sheer delight.

On balance - yes, down they should go and West Ham because of their grubby owners and (as Stoke) stone-age fans.

Although I am not a fan of Palace Uncle Woy has done a fantastic job, I applaud his interviews when he never blames anyone else when they have dropped points. He just gets on with the job, the players are definitely playing for him and their momentum is upwards.

I think it will be West Brom, stoke and anyone from Huddersfield, West Ham, Swansea or Southampton!

Mark Jenkins reveals what he was alarmed to find when he returned to West Brom

West Brom chief executive Mark Jenkins is “shocked” by the financial mismanagement he has uncovered since returning to the club.
Jenkins says the frivolous approach of former board members John Williams and Martin Goodman has threatened the club’s sound financial footing and prompted the need for an overdraft.
His astonishing statement comes as Albion’s accounts for the year up to July 2017 showed a record turnover of £137.9 million and a £39 million pre-tax profit.

Sadly for the relegation-threatened Baggies, the financial position is nothing like as healthy less than nine months later.
Mainly because of a summer transfer window in which £40 million was spent on players who have done little to justify their lofty salaries.
“I am shocked at how much the club has changed in 14 months,” Jenkins told the Birmingham Mail, in his first media interview back at the Baggies.
“I am very, very surprised at how things have changed.
“From £40 million in the bank, to needing an overdraft facility, is quite a substantial change in such a short period.
“It has invested everything and a bit more.
“It has gone beyond its own financial limits.
“Those two members of the board who have left went beyond those limits.

“In the near future we will need a small overdraft facility.
“That is something the club has not needed in more than 10 years.
“It really just signifies the amount of investment that has gone on in the last year.
“It is not a serious issue.
“It is nowhere near as big as the overdrafts other clubs have got.
“But it is a new thing for the club, which we have not had to deal with for a while.

“The future results which we announce in nine months time are going to be significantly different.
“They are going to show a loss.
“It comes down to making the right decisions.
“I don’t make any excuse for calling a football club a business.
“I am of the firm belief that if you run it correctly in a business sense, you will get success on the pitch.
“I just don’t feel over the past 12 months that business decisions have been made correctly.”

Williams, the former chairman, and ex-chief executive Goodman, were sacked by owner Guochuan Lai in February.
Lai then turned to Jenkins, who left the club in December 2016 after helping to oversee the Chinese businessman’s £175 million takeover from Jeremy Peace.
While desperately disappointed by a steep decline in the club’s fortunes, on and off the pitch, Jenkins said West Brom remained in a relatively healthy position.
Albion will receive parachute payments if the club is relegated.
The first is understood to be valued at 55 per cent of the domestic and overseas money received into the club.

And Jenkins, who has launched a forensic review of commercial and football operations, does not feel a fire sale of players is on the cards if the Baggies go down.
“The club is still financially strong, we do not have to sell players,” he said.
“It just demonstrates where we were and what has happened this season.
“The club fully invested in the playing squad the infrastructure – the club, stadium and training ground.
“We have record transfer fees, record loan fees and a record wage bill.”

Albion’s latest financial statement, published today, recorded a £39.6 million year-on-year increase in turnover.
Pre-tax profit also shot up, from £15 million in 2016 to £39 million last year.
Jenkins said the first share of the lucrative new TV rights deal, that covers the Premier League until 2019, was the driving force behind West Brom’s huge gains.
There was also extra prize money for finishing 10th last season, as opposed to 14th in the previous campaign.
An additional facility fee, for Albion’s involvement in 11 televised matches in 2015/16, and player sales had also boosted the club’s coffers.
“Generally the first year of a TV deal is when you see the biggest profits,” Jenkins said.
“The accounts show some excellent figures.
“They are record figures. Those do include the sale of Saido Berahino.
“Nevertheless they are excellent trading figures.
“What does it really mean to the fans?
“Well, cash in the bank is £40 million, if you look on the balance sheet.
“The previous year of £15 million was a record.
“That is before you have received the current money from the Premier League. The club was well financed.”

Pretty sure WBA will have to sell players. Aside from a few honest types like Foster, Rondon and Evans they really have a poor squad for their outlay. Stoke not far behind in the talent stakes. Think they will be joined by Wet Spam who have an horrendous run of fixtures plus they are in meltdown. Both Southampton and Stoke could take points off them. It could not happen to a nicer set of fans and owners. Us taxpayers are subsidising this bunch of cavemen. Reckon the Saints, Swansea and Palace will just escape but Huddersfield may manage to let WHU off the hook if they stay goalshy.

West Ham season ticket holder at work is very fearful. If they fail to win against Southampton he states that the supporters will take the London Stadium apart. That may mean the pressure for the home match against Stoke will be intense. He says the team will fold under that pressure. Lose those two and West Ham would make a mighty leap toward the Championship. Mind you we both believe two more wins should mean they are safe. It's tough to know what would be more satisfying, West Ham taking points off off Stoke helping to push them into the Championship or failing and slipping close to the trap door themselves.

West Ham's deal with the London Stadium is absolute daylight murder.

If they've got such badly behaved knuckle dragging east London Neanderthal cockney fans, that's their ******* problem. You pay for the extra stewarding.

It makes me sick that West Ham have managed to make the stadium operator pay for their shortcomings. I would tell them to **** right off.

We are not speaking on football matters ever since I told him opinion was divided on Zaha.

Various West Hamites calling for 'unity' ahead of the game with Southampton; Tony Cottee saying the club needs 'a complete overhaul at every level'; Silva rumoured to be linked as a replacement for Moyes ... interesting times to be struggling for points. Mark Hughes must surely fancy his chances ...

Well whaddayaknow, the man who was about to take Stoke down can't save Southampton. To be fair to Wet Spam, they're not a bad side, it's just the atmosphere at the club is poison at the minute, and that makes a difference. They weren't that bad vs Burnley before the pitch invasion happened
