This. Seemed obvious to me. We were last linked well over a month ago, think the club moved on some time ago - maybe even before the Chalobah deal.

 

I would have loved Lemina but you are probably right. Our main pursuit was last season when we were trying to get him and Pereyra as matching bookends. Although available the uplift in price and competition did for us this year. But on balance not only is Chalobah a better bargain he is better suited to Watford on several fronts. Plus he is still developing as a player so has more potential.
