Isn't it more likely that the wolf would have changed their style to match the seers ?

Then why would the Wolf try to kill me when (Most likely) it was me that was viewed by the Seer in the poem message on the first day and not CB which the other message stated?

 

Yep, if the Wolf wrote the poem, then chances are they copied the Seer's style and wrote the first message today.

 

Ah if I knew that then the game would be a lot easier.

I can't see why the seer would change their style to match the wolfs. To me that doesn't make sense. If they are going to change their style then I would have thought that come up with something completely new.

If you do have a secret power / roll and possibly being named as good yesterday, therefore an easy target for the wolf, you would be right to make good use of it to protect yourself, we all would have.

 

Which is what I did.

I think there was backlash from us about the ambiguity of the message, so that's why the message style has changed. That said, what you've said is a fair counter argument. I feel though that as I was targeted of the two highlights the first to hold more weight as the Wolf acted on the first message rather than the second on day 1. Without that context, it would be impossible to call either way the messages so early on for anyone.

 

I assumed that the poetry style on the first day was from the seer - to make it more difficult for the the wolf to copy (it was a clever idea, even if the execution was a little confusing). So I was surprised when the style was changed today without explanation. Can the seer please be completely clear about every action they take - the only person who benefits from confusion is the wolf.

I agree with Diamond (the only person who is confirmed as good) that a wolf would be less likely to write a poem on day 1 - my gut tells me that day 1 message 1 and day 2 message 2 are from the seer. Personally, I think that it is likely that none of those mentioned, in either message, are evil.

Personally, I think I'm going to go for somebody suspiciously quiet today, as a) they are more likely to be evil and b) this makes the game more fun.

 

Might have been mentioned already, but what happens if the Beta Wolf chooses the Alpha Wolf?

The Beta dies. If the Beta chooses the Alpha, the Beta dies. If the Alpha chooses the Beta the Beta dies. That's how it confirms me as team Good and lends more weight to the first message, particularly with the Wolf then trying to kill me otherwise I'd be clueless as to who posted the messages.

I apologies for sounding like a broken record here but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

 

I agree with Miked above. I think the Seer was trying to be clever but it has caused us more harm than good so they have adapted their style today. It would have been useful if they put that in their message today. "sorry about the poem, I'l make it clearer today" or something. Seer, you need to be crystal clear in your messages.

There is also a really good chance that all 4 are good. At least 2 of them are from the Seer, and the 2 the wolf highlighted could also be good, unless they have accidentally named a wolf. The odds are against it but there is a slim chance.

All that, unless the wolf has named themselves in one of the messages, massively risky but also possible.

As Miked says above, another quiet one may be the way to go.

 

But how does it get written up, if the Beta attacks the Alpha, without giving away the Alpha?

Look through previous games PhilippineOrn. Either the Beta fails an ambush on the Alpha before he turns, which he then turns and kills the Beta in defence and then the Beta turns back into his human form as they die or the Alpha ambushes the Beta and kills him while he's in his human form, but not before he partly transforms giving away his identity as he dies.

I think it would be folly to vote anybody tonight mentioned in any of the messages thus far. There is nothing directly or indirectly leading us to believe anyone is evil.

On that basis I'm going to vote for the most quiet player over the game so far, BRLR. Good or evil he is of no use to team good.

 

I think as Meh! has mentioned above, everyone named so far could be good - until we know which message is from the Seer or Wolf, it's virtually impossible to work out.

I wonder if either of the Wolves will be curious enough to attack PJ again tonight? Think it might be worth the Guardian protecting PJ above anyone else at the moment.

 

Im still trying to figure whats going on...as well as trying to find out who Diamond bought his weed from so I can take over his operation.

You can but it does kinda miss the point of Werewolf. There's being quiet as a strategy then there's being quiet as a non-participant. It's nice to see you're here though.

Digging through the Wolves Wiki, I've found two roles PJ could potentially be:

• Tough Guy : You survive an extra day if attacked by werewolves at night.
• The Amulet of Protection: Anyone who has this won't ever die. You must pass the Amulet to another player each day or else it is destroyed.

Amulet of Protection could be an interesting additional role.

 

He lives nearly on the other side of the planet AFAIK. He can't wait around til late our time as it's late his time right now and he can only act on what he knows up to that point.

 

Just to make this clear. Im in the game for proper now. I wasnt aware that an observation period was frowned upon. Apologies all.

 

Observation and minimal posting is fine, it's just when there's radio silence. It can work on your favour or against you being so quiet.

It is confusing in the first game, but the more you get into it the more you understand how it all works.

 

Amulet of protection could cause a he'll of a lot of confusion if it's passed on after use!
