Day 2

I'm not sure how you can say that you are voting for the person who is trying to direct the crowd (when I wasn't, except to stop those turning on PJ), whilst clearly doing that yourself in the very same sentence.

But I'm happy to repeat the statement again. Wolves generally hide by giving uncontroversial comments (especially around player roles, or ask obvious questions which they know the answer to), so as to not be discovered.

It certainly isn't rocket science. They have more reason to be quiet and not draw attention. I am sure that anybody on here who has been a wolf before will agree with me - you don't comment too much and you don't point fingers unless you are under threat.

You certainly weren't on my radar before, but now you are. I just can't tell if you're being Evil, or naive.

 

I'm heading off in 10 or so mins. I'll be voting then.

 

Still a lot of people havent voted. Lets see where we are at when it hits 8pm. May extend to 8.30 if needed.

Not sure if opti has done a lynch write up. If not I will have to keep it simple which is fine by me!

Might turn out to be completely wrong but I believe Squibba. It seems like a bit of naivete rather than an attempt to unmask the Seer and his comments afterwards have the ring of truth to me.

Which means I have about 7 mins to pick someone else. It will probably be a low poster, or someone who hasn't contributed to the game too much. I don't have any firm suspicions, just don't agree with the lynch mob for Squibba.

 

5 minutes left till I die.

Look out for those who were quick to jump on me / follow the bandwagon.

HH24 had good reasons yet she seemed eager to bring it up again and again which didn't make sense to me.

Still don't believe Norway and his dog, was quick to accept HH's theory and vote for me well in advance.

Daft Row popped out of nowhere as soon as there was a bit of hit on his name but the 9-5 timings do align.

 

that's a bit of a low blow squibba, the man just lost his dog ffs. its a fun game, don't make it so personal.

 

I agree with this, but there's no obvious candidates. We'll have a better idea tomorrow as to what's what but unfortunately Squibba took a hell of a risk that might work in the long run but doomed himself in the short run. If he's evil then it's a win either way. I feel for Squibba as I think he had good intentions but potentially dooming a Seer with good intentions to catch a wolf is too risky.

 

I am hoping thats a typo from Squibba.

Anyway, day is closed. And voting is closed. CB and Mike have not voted but both are active enough and it would not have mattered anyway. Nonetheless, please can everyone get their votes down on time or PM me if they feel they wont have the chance.

Squibba paced around nervously in front of the fireplace in his front room. He kept turning to look out of the window and down the street, but no-one was approaching his front door. He continued to pace. ‘How the hell has it come to this?’ he asked aloud. ‘Why did I have to say anything? Stupid Squibba,’ he chided himself, ‘that was bloody daft.’ He stopped and looked at himself in the mirror above the fireplace.

The face looking back at him was unrecognisable to the one that normally greeted him on such occasions. Usually Squibba was a cheerful, fairly dapper sort of chap, at least he thought so. Now he resembled a heroin addict after two days of going cold turkey. He cuffed at the cold sweat that trickled down his brow.

The grandfather clock in the corner struck 8pm. The gong started to chime. GONG, GONG, GONG, GONG, GONG, GONG, GONG, GONG. Silence filled the house, and Squibba squeezed his eyes tight shut.

There was a knock on the door. Squibba’s eyes shot open and he turned to the window. Outside he could see the other villagers, all of them in their black robes, hoods up. ‘NOOOOOOO!’ he screamed, ‘LEAVE ME ALONE!’ His voice quavering, ‘I…I…I’ve done nothing wrong!’

Daft Row’s voice replied, ‘Come now Squibba, we just want to talk,’ he chuckled. ‘I give you my word,’ he said, desperately trying to hold snorts of laughter.

‘TALK, TALK???’ yelled Squibba ‘YOU THINK I WOULD BELIEVE THAT!’

There was a bang on the door as the villagers tried to force it open. ‘Hmm, Norway get over here,’ muttered Daft Row. Norway wandered over. He was a large muscly individual with a strong physique indicative of his Scandinavian origin. ‘Give that door a good old fashioned Norwegian shoulder barge for me would you?’ asked Daft Row. Norway looked at him, a concerned look on his face. ‘I would like to help you Daft,’ the giant replied, ‘but I bruise like a peach!’ ‘Oh for ****s sake!’ piped up BigRossLittleRoss. ‘If he’s not going to open the door, lets just burn the place to the ground!’ he exclaimed.

The other villagers cheered their approval. Some began to collect kindling, piling it around the house, whilst a couple of others siphoned some petrol out of Squibba’s Morris Minor. They spread this amongst the kindling.

Squibba looked on from inside his house, his face a picture of terror. He pleaded desperately, but they all ignored him. Before long Daft Row, stood in front of the house holding a small metal lighter. He clicked it open, looking at Squibba through the window. ‘Goodbye Squibba!’ he chuckled. ‘NOOOOOOO! PLEASE, YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND,’ screamed the desperate man. ‘Oh I understand alright,’ said Daft Row with a wink, ‘your toast pal!’ With that he lit the lighter, and through it into the kindling.

Flames burst out from underneath the window, quickly engulfing the perimeter of the house. Squibba yanked open his front door and tried to dash out, but the heat was too much and shielding his face he had no choice but to retreat back inside. He began to choke on the smoke and charged upstairs.

The house was soon fully ablaze, and the villagers looked on in wonder. Suddenly Squibba’s bedroom window burst open, and a figure fully aflame fell out.

He pirouetted to the floor, and with a loud crack landed on the hard ground. The burning body was of course that of Squibba.

Squibba was GOOD.

Poor Squibba. Serious miscarriage of justice .

 

Just wanted to apologise for my all too many posts today, I can see the advantage of keeping the comments down to the essentials to make it more efficient for others when scanning previous posts for clues.

I've got what's going on now.

 

Okay , I've scrolled through the listed additional roles and there is only one other I can find that fits PJs disappearing act and seems to fit better than the two listed above.

Harlot - You may choose to spend the night with another person. If that person is a wolf or a victim of the wolf you die. If the harlot is attacked by a wolf but is visiting someone else she lives. She can stay at home by visiting herself.

We can eliminate Tough Guy tomorrow if PJ doesn't die.

If someone else evades die ing when being attacked then we can probably surmise the extra role is amulet.

But on current info it seems Harlot fits the profile of PJs disappearance best.
Which would mean it was very lucky that PJ just happened to be visiting on the very night Wolf attacked?
The conclusions to be drawn from that ? I need to sleep on it.

I didn't mean to out you in anyway PJ , I wasn't necessarily expecting you to acknowledge either.

That is of course assuming I'm right . You may be bluffing. Not sure why though.

 

Guys and girls, the day chat should strictly end at 8pm once the lynching takes place. I dont mind reactions to the result of the lynching but please dont post anything more than a reaction. Strictly speaking the thread should be closed at the end of the day but im not able to do that myself.
