FWIW, I didn't search for this thread, it was brought up in the City thread, as a cautionary tale to the reactionary drama queens currently inhabiting this place.

 

There's a difference from being a drama queen to being a realist though.

What mistakes? You use the plural, so far I didn't think we'd get promoted last season back in December. I got that wrong, but what else? I've got things right before as well you know. I've never said we'd get relegated this season or want Flores out. Are you insinuating something?

i admit i got it wrong about joka, and I've learnt from my mistakes and am giving quique some time. still no need to be a **** about it.

 

It's what he does. Pettiness, gloating and being an insufferable twit is his speciality. Personally I don't feel the need to backtrack through pages and pages of posts just to bring someone up on something and satisfy my ego, but hey that's just me.

Honest to god, it wasn't meant maliciously. It was linked on a different thread, and a couple of posts made me smile.

 

Everybody gets things wrong occasionally. Not just over Joka. A lot of us thought we'd go up under Zola. Some of you thought Beppe was a top appointment. A few of us thought we'd do well under Garcia etc etc.

I guess the point of revisiting old threads is just to remind us all to try and not make knee jerk reactions, hard though it is to resist the temptation!!

Let's face it..winning is just above everything. A scrambled 1-0 v Swansea and the WFC world looks a much better place.

My take, in case it gets revisited in early 2016 lol, is Flores was brought in solely to keep us up this year, just as he dud with Getafe. As he's getting to know us and the league, his first task was to make us hard to beat. Had we lost our first 4 matches, we'd really be playing catch up from day one. As it is, we've picked up a few points without setting the world on fire. Sooner or later there will be matches we really have to try and go all out to win, and I'm confident we will. If he can't demonstrate an ability to get us firing in attack, both he and our season will have failed, but it's way too early to even contemplate that.
