No passion, no drive and quite simply NO CLUE!

That has got to be one of the worst performances I have seen from a watford side in recent years. All of our lot looked like they had stuffed themselves full of turkey.

Deeney and Vydra were completely isolated, Vydra ran about a lot but the level of service he has received this year has been nothing sort of dreadful. I genuinely feel sorry for the lad. Deeney looked uninterested, but who can blame him when the only balls he are getting played towards him are at his head.

The midfield three today were absolutely crap. Munari and Toszer gave the ball away countless times, and none of them looked comfortable moving with the ball. The amount of pointless sideways or backwards passes, enforced by Wolves high tempo pressing was incredible. We looked completely impotent.

Anya was once again ineffective, when your main weapon is pace, why not bloody use it. Paredes also falls in this bracket, his little chipped crosses are becoming Jordon Stewart-esque.

The back three today looked poor too. Bassong looked like the ball was just bouncing off of him at all kinds of angle. Doyley really has seen his best days long ago, although he actually looked better at left back. Cathcart was ok.

The whole team lacked drive when on the ball. At times we seem to expect other teams to let us move the ball around with freedom. As soon as any team comes out and plays pressing football we fall to bits. I have never seen a team look so bloody miserable going about their jobs. You know what, for years we have struggled in the lower reaches of the championship but you could never doubt our teams commitment. Today I seriously doubt how many of them wanted to be out there playing.

Ighalo and Fessi were just about the most committed players in a yellow shirt when they came on, and Ighalo was pretty unlucky to not score really.

I don't like this manager. The football is dull and Im really beginning to think he has absolutely no idea. My advice to the Pozzos, get rid sharpish or we will be spending another season in this league. He is devoid of any ideas, and incapable of promoting a sense of urgency in our talented yet uncommitted bunch of players.

I personally don't blame them, whenever he speaks I start to drift off.

    SLAV please **** off.

Come on, you're usually quite reasoned. A poor performance, but we've had plenty of worse ones, even in the last couple of years. No where near as poor as 0-3 Yeovil. Awful first half, second half we could have has 2 or 3 and hit the bar twice. Bounce back against Cardiff and it's 4 wins from 5.

What we DON'T need is more disruption by losing another Head Coach.

The players were outbattled and they should be very unhappy with their performance. Not sure how it's Jokanovic's fault and changing the head coach is the exact opposite of what we need to do. I thought the players would be full of confidence after getting an away win with ten men but they all looked **** scared of the ball. I know someone will say the boss should get them fired up but how is he meant to do anything about players trying to control the ball and letting it roll out of play? This group of players all talk about promotion being the aim but some of them need to wake up and quickly realise that every single game is tough, nobody rolls over for you in this league.

Poor? That was woeful. Get a grip. This team are going nowhere, doesn't matter who the head coach is. The league is shyte which ever way you look at it which explains our lofty position.

    That was abysmal.

Whenever we face even the smallest bit of adversity, everyone just looks around at each other in disbelief. We have multi-million internationals jogging around the pitch looking like they've lost their mummy in the supermarket. And it happens over and over.

Wolves just showed up and competed, and that's all it takes to stop us. We're lazy, luxury and have no game plan. And it's been that way for a long time now.

In my opinion, it's too easy to lump the blame on a player, a manager or a formation. We were the same under Sannino and Zola. We've been the same with all the players that have passed through our team. It's the whole thing. Our starting point was formation and individual quality, whilst absolutely basic things like team ethic and busting your nuts were either neglected or just assumed. And it has come at a cost. It's made perfectly competent professionals look awful.

Beyond spending £500million on elite players, there are no quick fixes in the Championship. I feel as though we'll endlessly be picking up the pieces until some serious attention is given to focusing on the things that makes any club mildly successful.

I am usually very reasoned, but Im fed up of our so called fantastic players not giving their all for the shirt. Its absolutely ridiculous. How many of them would honestly put themselves on the line for the club. Look at how players like Heidar and Smithy used to play week in week out. Full of bags of passion, I don't think this lot has a bag between them at the moment.

Under Zola the club looked united, since then it has fallen to bits. A succession of managers have come and gone, and we have seemingly stuck on the chap who I feel is probably the least well equipped out of all of them to motivate the players.

Watfordtalk you can hardly tell me that you listen to slav and his words inspire you full of confidence?

Abdi, Munari and Toszer just didn't show up.

I think most on here worked out we were in trouble before the kick off.

Very little fight and very little luck.

I don't think our problem is lack of motivation, etc. that would manifest itself more when we do not have the ball. We still tackle, chase back, block, get booked, etc. I think our issue is when we have the ball, the lack of options and lack of movement (and not because they can't be bothered). That is the style of play, formation, tactical issue. I think our players are genuinely puzzled and bewildered as to the best way to create chances with the current set up and I don't think that they lack the ability.

I think they lack the coaching.

Every Watford player apart from Gomes was rubbish today, but it doesn't help when for all the talent that's in the side, there's so few outlets. Wolves got their tactics spot on, but it's amazing we're so easy to nullify with the players we've got. If we had wide men who could cross the bloody ball, teams wouldn't be able to stop us so simply in the middle.

Having said that, the way the players visibly lost belief today was unacceptable. It had me wondering if, despite winning three on the trot, they really believe in what Joka is asking of them.

I was encouraged by Joka's first couple of games, but ever since then our build up play has been getting progressively slower. It doesn't suit any of our players, especially Vydra, and teams find it all too easy to cut off our supply lines, knowing they don't have much to fear from Anya or Paredes in the current system.

I agree, but that was gutless today.

Joker is not the man for the job.

Agreed but when's the last time we showed any consistent levels of passion and drive?

Oh yeah, under that joker Zola. When Mark Yeates was part of the squad.

We were poor all round, but especially in midfield. Thought Paredes was the pick of a pretty bad bunch of outfield players. Gomes deservedly our mom.

Go to give credit to Wolves, they played well, kept their shape and looked like a pretty decent team - certainly deserved the victory.

The conditions were pretty awful though - we won't often have to play 90 minutes in the driving rain - and the good news is that we've got a great opportunity to put things right v. Cardiff in less than 48 hours. Win that one and it will be all smiles again.

Also, notable mention to The Rookery this evening, thought we made a decent amount of noise considering how badly the team were playing - interesting to hear what it sounded like for those watching on the telly.

We've just won 3 on the bounce. We're 6th. Is our squad better than Ipwich's, Derby's or Bournemouth's? We have no divine right to be top 2.

Like Huddersfield at home? Or Reading away? Or even Wigan at home?

Did you see when Cathcart smashed his face in challenging for the ball? I think there were instances last season where you could say there was a lack of effort but this season, I think that's a lazy accusation.

I preferred Beppe's approach to touchline demeanor and post-match interviews but it would seem the players and owners did not. Slav is clearly pretty knowledgeable and has shown his tactical nous on a few occasions. I questioned him when he rested Munari and Vydra but he seems to have learned from that.

What's happened to Pudil? He's been one of the better players this season. Something's wrong when Doyley and even Dyer are chosen ahead of him.

Pudil was decent last season and looked like he gave a ****. Joka clearly wants pace out wide though and unfortunately Danny doesn't have that. Gonna have even more of a fight on his hands if we get Insua.

I kind of agree. He's not as good as some people think he is, but they like him because he runs around a lot. I don't think he's very good, but the other options aren't very good either.

Serious question, do you actually go to the games? To be continuously served the drivel that we get, especially at home is appalling. If you saw Pudil away at Reading get beat time and time again, you would see why people think that.

Optimistic has got it spot on and normally he is like his name.

  32. Timbers

In all honestly, he was never given a chance in that position. I seem to remember Dyche was starting to try him there and he played some reserve games at centre back to get him the defensive learning.

Pudil? League 2? You really agree with that? He's a bang average Championship left back. There are better at this level and there are worse.

Don't we have the 3rd best home record in the league?

League 2 is an exaggeration for sure, but I could certainly see him in League One. He's a liability defensively and has very limited skills in attack. And he is stupidly single-footed. Acting like a rockstar and sitting on the bench for the Czech Republic during friendlies doesn't change that.

Don't confuse this as a vindication of Doyley though. It's laughable how that man is still going.
