Would love us to have an adidas originals kit, like the Forest/Ipswich kits of the early '80's

Our kit will be template, but I don't understand why people are so bothered by that? If it looks good then it looks good.

Who will be our Cruyff and only have the two stripes?

I don't care who makes our kit, but I do care that they don't insist that we wear our second strip for away matches when we're not playing Hull, Norwich, Burton, Bradford, Oxford, Cambridge or Newport - especially when our second strip clashes more with the home team's kit than our standard yellow and black (and maybe even a bit of red).

Exactly. This season's isn't a template and its ****ing awful.

THIS!! I think it's a Premier League thing rather than a manufacturer thing though, as we are not the only team guilty of it this season. Arsenal, Chelsea, Stoke and Leicester have worn their away kits at the Vic for no obvious reason this season.

If Hull hadn't been promoted, we wouldn't even have NEEDED an away kit this season.......now watch us draw with Burton.

The whole "unnecessary wearing of away kits" is a real bug bear with me at the moment. Yes, I 'm well aware it's to sell shirts, but Stoke didn't need to wear blue the other week, Leicester and Chelsea didn't need to wear white, and as for the thing Arsenal wore back in August..... We've been just as guilty this season too, and I would gladly see a ruling come in which instructs clubs that they should ONLY change in the event of a genuine clash.

I do like (and bought) this season's two shirts, but the Club tying up with a major supplier like Adidas gets a thumbs up from me.

A bit too much going on in the home kit design for me but the others seem ok.

I know this is ironic but I hate the bulldog banner so much. I had to dislike your post. I can't laugh about it. No apologies.

Bulldog banner = no class, a bit of money: short term gain but a tinpot display worthy of a lower division club. Baffled that Duxberry & Pozzo allowed this. It goes against everything they stand for.

Adidas fits: a bit of style, less money but proper kit, I imagine; good long term marketing. That's what Pozzo & Duxberry stand for.

So we'll get a new kit, which will be yellow and overpriced (and which we get every year anyway) but all that changes is the logo from a splodgy 'D' to three stripes, which obviously makes all the difference. Yawn.

    Slaves to consumerism etc...

I'm disappointed that Dryworld didn't work out but according to some definitely trustworthy Brazilian football sites they were having trouble supplying equipment in a timely manner or at all so clubs have been jumping ship. I quite like our home kit this year, although the away kit is atrocious. It's too bad because they did some wonderful kits for QPR this year, especially their away strip.

It will be interesting to see a Watford kit from Adidas, though I would have preferred Under Armour (unpopular opinion, I know). Adidas have done quite nicely with Man U and West Brom this year, as well as Sunderland's third. Hopefully we get a flashy third kit in some odd colour like violet or mint, always been fond of that sort of thing.

While I am proud to say I do not own a single item of sportswear, I almost wept at the shear beauty and elegance of both (adidas designed) Belgium kits at this year's Euro's.
adidas is the Rolls Royce of football kits and to see WFC turned out in adidas is proof-positive that the club is going in the right direction

This could only be better if it was Adidas Originals - I'd even think about buying one if it had the trefoil logo on:

Im glad that we are finally with a recognised kit maker as i felt the quality on the dryworld shirt was awful, bring on the decent training gear too.

Good. This years kits are hideous and Dryworld appear to be an absolute joke from a professional standpoint.

    Dryworld kit deal

According to Charles Sale's gossip column in today's DM, the three year arrangement - together with QPR's TEN year deal - is off, following problems with late deliveries and delayed payments.

Yes, the ending of our partnership with Dryworld has been well documented. This is the first I've heard about QPR's deal though. Dryworld must be in serious trouble.
