As the only openly gay poster on here, I feel it's my responsibility to start the reality TV threads, so here goes. X Factor is well underway now and I can't believe some of the Judges choices for the live shows. How could Cheryl put through that Katie bird? She is a disaster and messed up her audition - AGAIN! Fair enough that she took pity on one broken girl, in Cher, who has always been her favourite, but to ignore all the other girls' great auditions, to put through Katie, is just a disgrace. Simon had to put through the two manufactured groups, but I think that whole setup was really unfair on the other groups, as they were essentially all competing for just one slot. He was always going to go with the reject boys and girls, as he can mould them in his own image, so the other guys and gals never really had a chance. I think Dani got it largely right with the boys, although I thought Paije should have been given a go. He hasn't put a foot wrong in any of his audiitons instead of that Nicolo guy. He is going to go nowhere. Louis really had little to choose from with the over 28s. They were mostly a bunch of nutters and weirdos. He was right to put through the fat Irish woman, IMO as she will do alright, with the sort of Subo factor. I think from what he had, he has actually picked the perfect 3 to have an impact on the live shows. Storm Lee is a pub/club singer at best, but will get some public votes because he's such a nutjob. I haven't watched the second half of Judges Houses yet, as I was playing catch up on V+ from holiday. I can't wait to watch and find out how Cheryl has justified putting Katie through. That's really angered me. Cheryl, sort your life out.
I can only offer the following information, use it wisely: I have a "very near" teenage daughter, and she was desperate for the manufactured teeny bop boy band to go through. When I heard a scream from the front room last night I knew they had. Since then she has talked about nothing else, and her facebook entires, plus those of her friends, have also talked about nothing else. Girls from the age of 8 to 14 will vote in their millions for this group, and they will storm the competition. I have no idea of the groups name, but they all look about 11. Currently 6's on Betfair. Definately worth a few £.
At least we have good old Brucie to follow. His jokes are great. Can't think of anything else that is better to do on a Saturday night.
Admin, you can't place blame for what you watch on your "very near" teenage daughter. Just own up that it was you and your mates who watched, screamed, and posted all over facebook - and then you and moog can have a very in-depth conversation about it in the open, without all the secrecy.
Behave, I wasn't even in the same room. The big Welsh Tesco checkout lady does it for me though :naughty:. That girl from Harefield, you just knew she came from Harefield don't you .
The bad side of Chorleywood is everywhere outside of Chorleywood. And stop all pretending. X Factor is the beans and gravy of Saturday television.
That Italian bloke CAN'T sing, how he got through I'll never know. A few baffling choices for the live shows.
I know. Terrible choice. Dani and Cheryl had the best categories by far, but they have done all they can to f**k things up. Now I reckon Simon or Louis will win it.
What a depressing thread........ Can someone shoot Cowell and Walsh and their ilk please and terminate this travesty of a 'talent' show. The talentless judging the talentless.... Marvellous. :forehead:
The gf and i love this program, quite a strong line up this year i think full of quirky people. Storm has an amazing voice and i hope he does well.
There was an incredibly strong line up, but the judges conspired to ruin it before it's even started. For once, I thought we'd genuinely have 3 competitive groups, but Simon went and put together his own 2 outfits, dumping the other lot in the process. Dani took some Italian crackpot through, instead of some much better acts and as for Cheryl, I can only assume that the Malaria has rotted her marbles. I hope Louis wins it this year, as he was dealt a really crappy hand with the over 28s. Simon moved the goalposts by making it over 28 instead of 25, putting all the half decent acts into the boys and girls categories instead, which was a big mistake as those categories were strong enouth anyway. Now Louis had a load of nutters and crackpots and i think has genuinely picked the best 3 acts of a bad bunch. I hope fat Irish woman wins it.
Tweet from a news satire site has Cheryl quoted as saying ' is it still rascist if you don't beat then up?'
Seems like her family were over here illegally and have been refused a visa. Mind you I'd be surprised if the X-factor people knew that before last Saturday..the Daily Mail would have found out if so!
song choices for Gamu if she had got through? first one here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWzeInQaUk4
