I'm not buying the Sierralta propaganda. Slow as a bus, gives away stupid fouls and his passing is enough to put anyone off football for life. Decent at this level yes, but easily replaceable as long as the replacement can head a football.

 

Davis I suspect, would be a bit of a waste to have 2 loan strikers in the squad when only one can play

 

I think we'll just make Kamara permanent. That or try to knock a few quid off the Choudhury fee and get him signed up permanently this window.

 

Well I presume if Hoedt is brought in he'd be considered a first choice, as would Kamara, Choudhury, Araujo and Martins, whereas Davis would be playing second fiddle to Araujo. Yes, it would probably mean that Bayo is the option off the bench, but he's proved useful at times in that role, so I wouldn't hate it

Tbf Kamara to Udinese kills two birds with one stone, we get a left-back for this season as well as wads of cash, Udinese have a left-back for next season when Udogie goes to Tottenham. Besides, I don't know what the regulations are on selling a player, loaning him back in only to buy him back almost immediately after, it just seems very...odd

 

Hoedt and Porteous in - Ekong and Pollock out. Fantastic business.

Kone, Martins and Araujo is also brilliant business. I don't really think we can have much to complain about.

Add a winger and a CM makes it superb. Send Hause back in addition - dreamland stuff.

In honesty, I don't think we need another striker. All efforts should be on the wide player and CM. And then a LB (because Morris is cack).

 

I don’t disagree. Though we will need a striker in the summer so if there is a good option now then you snap them up. Same with LB (though Sema will be able to fill in there too) and winger.

I’d be surprised if the CM search has receded - Bilic will have been in the loop with Louza’s recovery and I doubt it’s been a Lazarus recovery for him to suddenly be training and Bilic to have been unaware. Bilic said he wanted a winger and CM a week ago and I suspect that is very much still the case.

Yep I'm am avid reader of his stuff on Twitter but I can't quite explain what it is that I find so gripping.

I guess it's the fact I imagine him one minute on Twitter calmly typing the latest rumour the voices in his head have told him about, and the next minute furiously masturbating with the flayed skin of his latest victim.

An utter basketcase, but he's OUR basketcase.

 

You could (correctly) make the exact same assessment on Cathcart based on his most recent PL seasons, but in the Championship, he's probably out POTS.

For this level, Hoedt is just fine.

 

You could, but Cathcart has been involved in the English game his whole career. So whilst he might not be very good at Prem level, he knows exactly what’s need at Championship level.

Hoedt is just plain rubbish and has been for a long time. When fans of teams are excited when he leaves or is potentially leaving, there’s basically an open bus parade.

He might be ok at this level, I won’t hold my breath though, but happy to be proved wrong.
Even if he is good enough for this level, if we get promoted, we already know he’s a total failure at Prem level. So say we go up, now we’re stuck with a 29 yr old duffer who will most likely have 3 years left on his contract. On Prem wages he will be happy to sit and collect that all day until he’s 32.

If we didn’t already have the 5 squad loan spots taken up, I could justify a loan. However having a loan to buy option, making him the 6th squad member on a loan, who do you take out? Ferreira, Kamara, Choudhury, Davis or Araujo? Personally all 5 of them make the squad before he does in my opinion, so what’s the point in this deal.

 

I think Kamara might go back to Udinese if we bring this guy in?

 

Quality wise, I'm sure Hoedt is fine at Championship level, but in a dressing room historically famed for having bad apples, he doesn't seem a good adquisition

 

Still might not happen and you can then lord it over loads of people. Keep strong.
