Watford vs Millwall, 15:00 28th October Following a hard fought (and in honesty, surprising) win at Swansea last night, we welcome Millwall to The Vic on Saturday. This will be my first home game since Wigan last season. Millwall have recently parted ways with Gary Rowett, in a move that seems to have split opinion. A quick look online shows a lot of people confused by it and saying he did a good job but there are some who believe the time had come for a change. Personally, I think he's a good manager who was doing good things there so I was a little surprised. At the time of writing, I don't believe a new permanent manager has been appointed although there have been links with Neil Warnock. The clubs have an almost identical record in the league, so this feels very much like a midtable clash - however, we're going into it on the back of two consecutive wins - something that hasn't happened for a long time. Millwall do have some handy players in their time, specifically Flemming and Bradshaw, and I'm a fan of Cooper at the back, so this won't be an easy game. We don't appear to have any new injury concerns coming out of the game yesterday so Ismael should have a full compliment of players to choose from. I wouldn't be surprised with an unchanged lineup, although I suspect Sema will come in after his performances against Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea from the bench, and I wonder about Livermore's capabilities to play back to back to games. I'm expecting a difficult game, but I have a feeling we will scrape a victory - another 1-0 to keep the momentum going. Prediction: Watford 1 Millwall 0 (Bayo)
We tend to struggle against Millwall, although, if we play like we did last night, with that determination, then we should be able to match them physically. Hopefully it wont be such a men v boys match up on Saturday. It'll be a tough one though. We don't look like scoring goals, but at the same time, we're looking more solid defensively. Will go for a 1-1 draw to keep our mini unbeaten run going.
Tough one to call this, we are improving and Millwall haven't won in three games. By that logic we should win but Millwall have had our number. I'd bring in Sema for Martins who would be a good option from the bench with Asprilla. I'll go for a tight 2-1.
Interesting to see what news comes out of Millwall over the next two days. It could conceivably be a second consecutive Saturday for us facing a new manager.
If last season is anything to go by, it should be a harder game than either Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea, be happy with a draw
Millwall is never an easy game and the fact they smashed six goals past us last season was certainly concerning. They narrowly missed out on a play off spot but this season so far it seems they have settled back into their stance as a midtable team. We are aiming to be around midtable come May so I do expect this to be a difficult game which will be a stern test to see just how far we have come since Sunderland. I think it's winnable, so I'll go with a tight 1-0 win and another clean sheet but a draw would not be the worst result in the world either coming off the back of two wins and a draw.
As you say @SkylaRose, Millwall did the double over us last season, but this might be a good omen..so did Swansea and QPR!
My first ever Watford match was against Millwall in 1963 - we lost 0 - 2 and have usually lost against them ever since, apart from when we got back into the Premier League.
Millwall are the team I've seen us lose to the most down the years. Not going Saturday so very confident we are going to smash them!
Swansea exposed us, to a certain extent, as being vulnerable to headers, particularly from set pieces. Wasn't Millwall's forte last season winning lots of headers?

Yes I wonder if the old duffer can manage 3 games in 8 days. Surprised this hasn't been raised before.
I was thinking more of Millwall's propensity for kicking our players up in the air and breaking them.
The last three games have had little or no expectation. Millwall at home, on for 9 points in a week, an outside chance of jumping to the top half of the table and high expectation. What could go wrong? Ever since the days of Boothroyd we have been a team that's bottled the big games and games with pressure and exception. A mid tale draw for me.
Surprisingly they're 19th in the disciplinary table, with us in 5th, if anything, we'll probably injure a few of theirs with Sierralta, Hoedt and maybe Porteous playing.
I might be wrong, but I don't remember us injuring any opposition players recently, our fouls and cards seem to be rash and petulant more than malicious, certainly last season fits that bill well
He's got 4 in the league and 1 in the league cup. Think it's 5 league bookings that trigger the 1 match ban.
Keep the same team as last time, bar QPR I'd have that down as our best performance of the season. We actually resembled a team for once.
Wonder if our visitors feel the same ! https://www.watfordfc.com/news/news-the-hornets-back-efl-together-against-racism
If Sierralta has a good game he could minimize their usual ariel threat, 0-0. If he doesn't they will bombard us. Kick us up in the air... 1-3.
I quite like our approach of keeping it 0-0 for as long as possible then trying to nick one at the end of the match. It's not pretty to watch but it's nice when we walk off with 3 points.
Problem being is when we go behind we have to score more than one goal if we want to win, which is something we struggle with. Getting one goal recently seems to be either a worldie strike or a slice of luck.
Not going to this as I have cancelled my ST. It feels like such a relief to get my hard earned weekends back and save money to boot. The money I am saving will fund a couple of away games and possibly even an air fryer. Enjoy the game those who are going!
I would assume that it is some kind of contraption with which you would fry air. What use fried air is though, I have no idea.
