I remember that game in 97-98 at Griffin Park. My Dad took me I was only 10. We were lucky that day. Not often can say that about us away from home. I still have the programme somewhere in my collection.
Doesn't look like the usual trains are running tomorrow, which is a ******* joke. So just be careful...
That is into and out of Euston, though, so they don't have to worry about it with the route they'll be taking from Clapham Junction.
Battersea Power Station to Euston, fast train to Watford Junction? Might want to check departures from the new Battersea Power Station Station as they're not that frequent I don't think (every 10-15 mins). Bonus tip, when you come out of the ticket barriers from the Tube at Euston turn left and walk out the exit that's signposted "Overground". Watford bound trains always depart from there and saves you having to go out of the station and back in again following the signs to National Rail. Ps. Ignore me, didn't realise there were no trains out of Euston this weekend. You can bank the advice for next season in the Championship!
Looks like Hodgson might need to dust off those old boots. We already know he can beat our back 4 with a simple through ball.
Brentford fans are loving this game on their forum. Fair play to them though - we would be the same if roles were reversed. I really do think they will win at a canter, but I just hope we put up some sort of fight. Would be quite interesting if we won though, as unlikely as that sounds considering our dire home form. Even if we did somehow manage it, next week's slapping at the EmptyHAD will bring them back down to earth.
Yep, agree, especially the bit about not changing the set up even when it's not working. Surely it's now time to spin the dice and try something different to get a win at home? Maybe one or two players who have not had much (any) game time say, Cukar or Baah or Etebo? Can they be any worse than we've seen recently? Then there's the great debate on Sarr. Many say "there's a player in there somewhere" but where? It's certainly not out wide on the right judging by recent performances (even with Kiko in the side); and it's certainly not at CF as we saw in Claudio's first game against Liverpool; how about right wing back to play as a dashing threat bombing forward? No? Ah, the bench! Can't get hurt or make any mistakes there, problem solved
To be fair, Kamara, Kabasele and Louza walked around and got applauded. They probably did because they knew they did their best. The shirkers like Sarr and Dennis were straight off. Hence why there was applause, booing the first 3 mentioned wouldn't make much sense because they played ok and they tried.
2 of them are more popular than most and Kabasele seems to be well thought off I think which helps. True about some of the others - particularly if they are near the tunnel .
We are expected to lose next week? Wish someone told me before I bought my ticket. Oh well always nice to have a day out I suppose. We might score 1 at the right end.
Amazing that we had a fully fit squad last week and now have four players out, three of whom weren't even involved last week. Cucho's injury is obviously a genuine one but wonder whether Sierralta, Troost and Kalu just can't be bothered with this season given none of them are playing at the mo and they fancied an extended Easter break with their families.
I think they are just skiving off like school pupils. WTE hasn't played for us for ages, so unless he stumped his toe in training that's all I can think off. That would mean Dennis and King will probably start, which is a shame because Cucho has been one of our better players despite the results.
He wasn't in the John Ruskin first XI so I wouldn't get your hopes up, although at 75 he's probably still more use than some of our current heroes.
Brentford have been good recently and everyone will be expecting us to lose this. So this will be an easy win for us. Can't see us getting anything less than three points that will make us start believing in the team again. Sent from my TECNO P701 using Tapatalk
Buzzing for matchday again! Give us your 3 word pre match feelings ahead if this huuuuuge six pointer against our local rivals! #BWOpozzcast
As if last week wasn't bad enough I'm pretty sure I also caught Covid at the game. Silver linings though as i'm still contageous I'm morally obliged to give today a swerve.
Loads of Man City fans in Uxbridge today. I've been silently singing in my head We waved flags at 6 nil down all morning at them. That'll show them
I wonder seeing as it's hot and sunny Kucka will land on the old man legs have gone crap o meter today 45 minutes? 55 minutes? 60 minutes?
He wasn’t on the M25 and not written about the M25. Was on the M4 coming up to M25 intersection and inspired him to write a song about bad choices in life leading him down “the road to hell”.
That run began a few games ago We need to win a few games so that we can look back with frustration at a couple of games that could have saved us if we’d turned up eg Norwich (H) and Brentford (A). If we are 12 points from safety we lose that season end fun debate.
