We once got to Upton Park early for at game at West Ham. Mrs Willis used the time to buy a pair of slippers in the market on Green Street. Much hilarity at the bag check at the turnstiles...
Yep Target looked genuinely scared for most of the match and none of his team mates were helping out , i think Sarr needs the general vibe of the game going well to be comfortable , if we are winning he is a nightmare to the opposition , if we are behind not sure he is the man to wrestle us back in front, if he had 25% more confidence he would probably be insanely good
The only hard thing I'll probably have with me are power banks. Are there any hard Corona rules in the stadium in England? Or just wear a mask and keep your distance?
Over his injury I think, but I'd be surprised if he's fit yet. The club posted this a few days ago... https://twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1433452156749631493
Early round EFL Cup game would be an ideal game to bring him back, although I hope they don't hate him for his role in that ridiculous goal against them last season lol
Anyone else wondering if julien is a terrorist doing some recon? He'll be asking how crowded the concourse gets at half time next.
Well we know he's only going to be taking a small bag, so whatever he's got planned can't be that bad.
How can they sanction Chilean players but not Brazilian ones? That’s a farce and not an even playing field.
The date of Wolves game is 9/11 so am expecting a wide range of attacks in celebration of the 20th anniversary .
Bung. Relatively cheap for massive clubs to persuade officials at notoriously incorruptible Latin American country's FA not to object.
Yes I think based on this, a CL spot is very much up for grabs. I too would be shocked and devastated if we didn't manage 30 points out of 36 against the 6 teams you have noted. Plus the 10 wins out of 12 games should give us a healthy +40 goal difference which could be key to secure 4th spot.
Wtf? First of all, I would like to thank you for your help. Especially the help from UEA_H ornet was very friendly! I am a 19-year-old boy from Berlin who finally wants to experience a game in the Premier League after graduating from school. In Germany, the corona rules for the stadiums are much stricter. Even backpacks are no longer allowed in the stadium since the terrorist attacks in Paris and Berlin. That's the only reason I wanted to ask. As proof, I can still attach my Hertha Berlin season ticket to you.
Based on what I wrote it’s 49 points. Hardly CL spots. So epic fail on your part. 40+ goals, oh dear, another failed attempt at humour on your part. We should be aiming for 30 points out of 36 against the teams I’ve listed. Most Watford fans with common sense would say the same thing. They are the teams we have to beat if we want to stay up this season. We are better than them. Didn’t say I would be shocked or devastated, said embarrassed, big difference. Again though another failed attempt at humour for you. I’ve stated that we will comfortably stay up this season if Xisco gets its right. 49 points is a realistic target that we should be aiming for. That would give us a nice comfortable mid table finish, which again, is what I think we will achieve. Nothing wrong with what I’ve stated, but rather than accept my opinion and try to counter it with an intelligent debate, you tried to be funny. I get it, your adamant we’re getting relegated this season, you believe we have no chance in staying up, and that’s fine, that’s your opinion. You would rather be “surprised” in us staying up as it brings you joy. However if we get relegated, you’re not disappointed at all because you expected it all season. You do a great job sticking to it. You’re unwavering in your defeatist mindset, and I implore you for that. However, my opinion is the complete opposite to yours. I believe we will have a great season, stay up comfortably and will look back on this season with pride and joy. I will be gutted if we get relegated, because I don’t expect it at all. Nothing wrong with that opinion. You obviously don’t like it, and nor do you have to like it. However I would much rather have a proper intellectual football debate with you about it. I believe you’re a smart person, so I know you can do it.
Bachmann should keep his place for now. He’s a couple of howlers away from being dropped imo. Ngakia needs to start right-back. Sounds like Sierralta’s banned, so I guess Kabasele in his place. Rose to start left-back. If it’s Cathcart and Masina again at full back I think I’m going to scream.
I hope you enjoy the game, Julian, and that you come away with a better opinion of English football fans than you would have got from the final of the Euros. We're generally pretty civilised at The Vic. Watford-supporting foreign visitors are very welcome if not very common (Manchester United have more foreign fans, I'm told), but you have to endure our not-so-gentle sense of humour. WfcMoog is the only one on here you should believe - the rest of us are habitual liars.
