I have severe doubts that extraterrestrial life has visited our planet. UAP (why change it from UFO?) are more likely to be something explainable such as human-made or misidentified weather phenomenon or balloons/drones/lanterns/clouds/insert other mundane object or general hoaxes.

The universes speed limit is light, so unless bending of space-time is achievable (which in itself would use a lot of energy) it'd take a ******* long time for E.T. to come here even travelling at the speed of light.

With UFO more people supposedly would associate it with it as an Alien craft.
UAP is something that cannot be identified as aircraft or as known natural phenomena.

I did read an article some time back that suggested space travel is only possible by highly advanced machines that could take millions of years hunting habitable planets, then start the building blocks for life to exist. Those same devices would be able to create human life from DNA when conditions were right, which could be millions more years later.

I don't think we're far off from that point now, (meaning within the next thousand years).

I would be reluctant to judge someone’s mental health from a wiki entry . I’ve seen her speak and seems very eloquent and balanced as far as one can tell from watching a video.

But it’s not really relevant anyway because there are a growing number of Congress persons ( you were right about not being senators , my bad ) who are behind this as well as the majority leader of the senate Chuck Schumer.
And most importantly is to just follow the facts around the sightings ( and they are happening on a daily basis BTW) and let them lead us to its natural conclusion whatever that may be.

The universe is infinite so everything in it is infinite, including you. Consciousness is a part of the universe also, you are conscious, you are a part of it as is every other living species in the universe. This is the beginning, not the end.

You can judge her political stance on various topics from her Wiki page, though in this instance it wasn’t my primary source of info on her. I also accept there are far more credible politicians involved in this push. That said, a lot are coming at it from a simple transparency / national security perspective rather than because they’re pinning their colours to the mast and believe the US government has been involved in a massive cover up. It’s no surprise some of them have only shown interest in this since China’s surveillance balloon floated across their skies earlier in the year.

Most computer scientists think that is closer to 4 than 3. Using the most basic of logic and Mathematics, it's closer to 3 than 4, and further proof is if you rounded it (which always evaluates a number to the nearest 5), you would still get 3.

What does any of this have to do with a discussion of UFO's? A matter of logical thinking of something one person feels is correct to the vast majority who use facts and science and proove their point of view. Just because we have never "seen" a UFO, it doesn't mean it cannot exist. No science and technology in the world that we have, can show they do not exist either. It all depends on what side of the apple cart you pivot.

1- You now refer to her political stance but previously you were discrediting her mental stability and therefore credibility. As fast as I know being a republican doesn’t mean she is mentally unstable . And if you spent some time researching the facts you would learn that this a bipartisan movement within congress with as many democrats as republicans pushing the agenda .
2- would senior politicians especially Chuck Schumer ( majority leader of the senate ) propose a bill that is specifically targeted towards legally obliging the pentagon and all intelligence agencies to reveal all evidence that they have about UAPs and reverse engineering projects if he didn’t believe there was a solid reason too ? He is a heavy hitting politician who would have a lot of business to attend to and also would not pin his mast to a viewpoint that could seriously damage his reputation if he did not believe there was substantial evidence to back up his actions .
3- Can you state clearly who of the senior congressmen and women have only taken interest since the China surveillance balloon scenario occurred ?

1 - No need to twist what I said. I referred specifically to her 'political bio'. Her political views are fringe / loony. You're welcome to disagree if they're your kind of thing but that's my opinion. I have no idea about her mental health. Of all the bipartisan politicians you say are involved she was one of two you chose to mention in the post I responded to - that's not my fault.

2 - You're really just repeating points cyan made on the other thread only a week ago which I've already responded to. My point is really incredibly simple - just because a politician or group of politicians attach their names to something doesn't make it more credible. At least we don't tend to believe that with anything in UK politics, so why would we with the US or anywhere else? Loads of them come from safe seats where they can say what they want and not fear losing the next election. Which leads me to...

3 - Politicians also - *I hope you're sitting down for this* - have ulterior motives. Clearly most of them have only taken an interest this year or it would have happened sooner. Even Rubio, often quoted recently on this topic and who could be considered a senior senator in this context, is pointing out there are two sides to it and one of those is a big national security angle:

Of course they are following the national security argument . That doesn’t detract from the fact these craft are there and behaving in ways beyond our current undertaking of physics . In fact it actually adds to it .

Also you still haven’t listed the politicians that have only come on board since the China ballon episode as you clearly stated was the case. It’s almost as if you are presenting arguments that aren’t based upon facts .

Its good and indeed healthy to be sceptical, but always the observance of facts is what must lead to an opinion and the facts are these craft are here as acknowledged last week by a White House national security chief .

Anyway , it’s not my role or intent to persuade anybody one way or the other and I didn’t start this thread to do so but more as a way of canvassing other peoples opinions .

I dont know. A few people have testified in classified hearings that corroborate his story apparently.

If he is lying then how did he get so far up the ladder and why is he lying?
If he has been duped then what the hell is really going on?
If he is crazy then the people backing him are crazy too.
If a foreign spy program has infiltrated the US intelligence community thats not good.
If he is telling the truth then..........?

Whatever the outcome it opens up a can of worms.

Two highly decorated pilots, Ryan Graves and David Favor, that have seen these things are also giving evidence, Favor went to Top Gun.

    Starts at 3pm UK time.

He is also under oath and would likely go to prison if he was found lying.

I’m not sure if he will name anyone at this stage as he is still under whatever classified secrecy agreement he would have signed in his role as intelligence officer . Would be great if he did .

I suspect that rather than this being a huge disclosure type hearing , but rather the first of hopefully many hearing where the truth will come out in stages . I could be wrong of course , that’s just my speculation.

However the oversight committee does have powers to subpoena any potential witnesses so maybe that would be the next stage .

Seems likely this will drag out over months/years .
