got to remember where a lot of that money went. A simple transfer from the public purse to (mostly) Tory-supporting people. Dido Harding, Hancock’s pals, many others. An absolute scandal - and yet people still trust them.

Whatever happened to that failure talktalk woman who was in charge of the app? £37 billion spent on that wasn't it, with consultants on thousands per day.

Well I suppose she's probably in some other high fallutin' million pound post now. It doesn't seem to matter how many times these people fail, they just get appointed elsewhere afterwards.

Horrific PMQs. Truss comes out fighting and mentions ‘militant trade unions’ in every answer to Starmer.

So there we have it. In response to their failures, the Tories will seek conflict with trade unions and people who eat tofu to distract from their vandalism and broken promises.

Then a Tory *****er steps up to ask her if she is jolly pleased that his local rugby team won something. An utter farce of democracy.

She’s backed into a corner on so many aspects of this budget now. Pensions, benefits, defence, care for the elderly… Surely they’ll wait for the budget statement then move against her, pointing at all of the things she couldn’t deliver on after that monumental u turn.

It was embarrassing today listening to her try to fling **** at Labour, especially after her ‘apology’. I just don’t understand how she gets to carry on in the role after her actions directly led to mortgage rates going up.

At a time where public agreement with Unions is at its highest in my lifetime. Good luck, Liz. Mick Lynch and Eddie Dempsey would eat her alive.

Is the local consent part of the fracking bill code for 'We'll only do it in Labour safe seats?'

I wonder if enough Tories will want out at the next election and will be happy to vote against it. If the government loses a 3 line whip, we could have a new PM in place this evening.

I have my issues with Unions, but given Truss’ direct actions inexcusably and directly impacted the quality of life those striking, she doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

“how dare they ask for the money back that I lost them” doesn’t play anywhere near as well.

The devil is in the detail as to what ‘local agreement means’. If ‘local agreement’ means it’s sufficient for Tory Council stooges to vote for it, then it could go ahead, though even that would be one helluva sell.

As it doesn’t have a cat in hells chance elsewhere right now, they must be ready to offer some walloping big financial package or be ready to deny assistance to help that local agreement be found.

The scenario is, there will be massive cuts to local services. Here’s how you keep the care homes open. When first suggested under Cameron, the Tories offered Councils could keep all of the business rates, attractive when they were slashing the block grants.

It won’t just be Jeremy Hnut making ‘eye-watering’ choices.

The thing that most annoyed me today was Truss, in full Violet Bot mode at PMQs, demanding that Starmer accept that she is a ‘fighter’.

What nonsense this is. Her job is to efficiently manage the tedious administration and business of State, not pick fights. Having a bit of fight in you is laudable, with just cause or purpose, but it is the height of incompetence to end up in fights when you do not need to.

What has happened to the other 11% ? Are they "don't knows", not intending to vote, or Monster Raving Loony? I think the YouGov polls normally add up to 100%?

Reform, Plaid Cymru, ‘Some other party’.

Interestingly, the full tables do tell a different story. This is poll is of those with a voting intention. Including those without, the percentages of support are Labour 43%, Tories 10%.

The Tories need to inspire the non-voters to come out like they did for Brexit.

This is the thing when people blame the young for not voting or the elderly for voting in the Brexit referendum and 2019. What really messed up the polling was the sheer percentage of "traditional working class voters" or "traditional labour voters" (who don't actually vote) to come out for Brexit & "STOP THEM STEALING YOUR BREXIT" (AKA "Get Brexit Done").
