This is both hilarious and terrifying.
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/nigel-farage-appears-stage-donald-trump-002600780.html Stops short of an endorsement but any shred of credibility Farage had left has disappeared up his own bottomhole.
There appears to be no shortage of privately educated people of wealth and means offering to lead a revolution of the 'little people'. Populism, politics without the hard work of thinking required.
Populism has become a worthless term in the last 12 months Everyone just calls popular ideas they don't personally agree with "populism", whether its Trump, Corbyn, Brexit etc.
Seeing how all of the US late night news shows are on holiday: how well was Der Farager's visit to a Trump rally received?
And here is a British guy with a story about something you may have heard of and probably don't understand
Well the 'free-thinking intellectuals'* who were in the audience certainly lapped it up. *Other descriptions are available.

So Clinton just collapsed at the 9/11 memorial and had to be bundled into a van unconscious... she even left one of her shoes on the sidewalk Trump is going to win unless the Dems drop Hillary for another candidate
There have been rumours of ill health. Put it this way, she isn't that popular anyway and losing in the national polls. Bet they're regretting stealing the primary from Bernie Sanders.
The ill health rumours have been around for months and Hillary's campaign have tried to paint them as conspiracy theories or smears, even now they are saying she 'overheated', yet in the footage you can clearly see her have some kind of seizure and then collapse unconscious
Not sure about the credibility, however they are claiming she is suffering from Vascular Dementia (as does my father) and she only has 12 months to live. http://www.express.co.uk/news/world...dential-election-year-vascular-dementia-claim
Now this is embarrassing.... Apparently Colin Powell is no fan of the Clintons... http://thehill.com/policy/technolog...ail-slams-bill-clinton-on-affairs-with-bimbos
This is getting a bit worrying now, he is gaining in a few key states, still well behind but still. I am not great Clinton fan, but i am starting to get a bit depressed about the state of Union as it is.
Her health is under serious scrutiny and her campaign are screwing things up. After her collapse they're saying she had pneumonia so instead of a hospital they take her to her daughter's apartment. Then they allow a little girl to hug her and the clamour over Pneumonia being infectious and the campaign say it's non-infectious, so the rumours are she has Parkinson's because non-bacterial Pneumonia is linked to Parkinsons. Bill Clinton said in an interview that she constantly faints, then that interview is heavily edited by the mainstream media to cover what he said. I think she may actually be forced to drop put.
Maybe I'm being a thicko but I've never heard of someone "catching" pneumonia? Thought it was never infectious?
All the momentum is with Trump now, even current events like the bombings in NY/NJ and the hightlighing of the mess in Syria and Libya are bolstering his cause Hillary is in trouble now that she has slipped behind, as she clearly is not physically well enough to produce the enthusiasm and hard work required to 'chase' and win back ground. The debates are coming up and Trump is likely to take her apart in front of the entire country Unless Clinton has a huge 'October surprise' (and I wouldn't put it past her to fake one if she doesn't) up her sleeve then Trump is going to win
America deserve Trump. I don`t know how much power and influence a US president actually has, especially with domestic policy, but on an international scale he will be Nero.
Both have the potential to be malign influences internationally Some of the bombastic things Trump says often take attention away from the fact that Clinton has a actual significant track record as a hawkish war monger
If big business and political arrogance continues to leaves little people behind don't be surprised if they protest vote for the first snake oil salesman who comes along and offers something else Happened with Brexit, could well happen with Trump, and it won't be the last either
Agreed, the parallels between Trump and Brexit are clear Its astonishing as well that a campaign like Clintons can look at what happened with Brexit and still conclude that a viable strategy is to call Trump and his supporters stupid and racist
But they are. As are Brexiters. Of course they will seek to legitimise it and chuck in buzz words like big business and little people but at the end of the day they are stupid. And racist.
I like a lot of your posts but it is idiotic to call half our population stupid and racist just because they have a different vision for the future than you do. There is a significant subset here and in the US but using sweeping generalisations is complete nonsense. While I voted remain, most of my family voted to leave because they can't stand Brussells waste and bureaucracy. Whether they are right is another debate but you calling them all thick and racist is offensive.
No need for anyone to be offended by my asinine ramblings. I have no doubt that the vast majority of Brexit voters either didn`t know what they were doing the day they voted or had spurious motives. Maybe they were protest voting or didn't think Leave would win which plants them firmly in the first group. The sudden rise in hate crimes against eastern Europeans suggests that certain people, having been given the green light of Brexit, think its acceptable to be racist now. You are perfectly correct though not absolutely everybody who voted Leave are as l tarnished but they are few.
Watching the 'highlights' of the Trump/Clinton debate it seems that Clinton came out better. Thankfully, she will probably win as he definitely struggles with substance to back up his arguments. But, Jeez, I don't like Clinton either. ..and she bugs me how almost every time she appears in public, she points to an imaginary person in the crowd feigns surprise, winks and grins. So insincere!
