All English final then in Champions league - might move the game potentially from Turkey ?

Love it. Always makes me proud when it’s an all English final, simply because it annoys so many other people. You just know that most people at UEFA are fuming at it.

Just hope Arsenal beat Villarreal tomorrow, so it’s another all English final.

They're not English though, are they? They're international behemoths whose home stadium happens to be in England. Personally I always want them all to lose because winning just enhances their financial advantage over the likes of us.
(The notion of UEFA being annoyed is appealing, however.)

Sounds like Arsenal are playing as if it's a Pre-season game.

    Not a European semi final.

Maybe they know they'll probably just lose to Man U anyway?

Finished 0-0. That's them stuffed then. No Champions League for them next season (which was on offer if they'd won the final), and probably no Europa League either.

UEFA will be relieved there's not 4 English finalists now.

Never met a decent Arsenal fan. Every moment they linger in their natural position of being utter sh*te with a godawful fanbase who think they are world beaters makes me very very happy.

In a funny way only needing 1 goal potentially lead to them being complacent more so than if they needed 2 or 3 and had to go for the win more.

Agreed, they seemed way too cagey, especially in the first half. Twonks.

OGS moaning about their fixtures. When are ManU going to be punished for postponing a game?

Paul Whitehouse lived near Highbury - I saw him in the street a couple of times when I lived round there, and once had an embarassing fanboy "conversation" wiith him at Borders near Angel tube - but is, I think, a Spurs fan?

Last time two English teams contested a European final, fans had to trek to Baku. Now Covid rules put Turkey out of bounds for English fans. Is this a test case for whether the Super League debacle has changed thinking and that the final will be moved to the UK (with suitable compensation for the Turks) - or do the authorities still think that elite football is a TV programme? After all, only a few fans could get in anyway.

I can't wait to find out. I care more about that than about the outcome of the match.

They won't admit but a few of the Leicester players probably have an eye on their cup final next week.

We've all seen it before - teams ease off the week before a big game.

    Good old fashioned Leicester meltdown.

Is there a word, perhaps a German one for shutting down all of your emotions while you watch something you care for completely hit the self destruct button?

Don’t expect any sympathy from us. We all know you lot will be laughing hysterically as we slip to another record defeat to Citeh next year.

It’s the only thing keeping me going. Still chuckle that we nearly spent £30mil on Deeney....

Anyone interested in watching the CL final. Two clubs backed by huge sums of money and dubious owners ? I certainly wont be. Looking forward to Euro 22 and the Copa America.

I can’t think of anything I’d like to watch less. The only outcome I can hope for is that Ngolo Kante ends the night happy.

Classic of the ref and VAR knowing they made an error not sending Sterling off by not giving that penalty him at the end.

Then of course Chelsea go and win.

Villa and Arsenal playing - he’ll love to stick the knife into them !

Agreed. I only realised this morning that they played each other yesterday. If I ever watch the CL it's to see some decent football from clubs abroad, not the turgid commentary-from-the-anus laden bore fest that is when two of the 'big 6' play each other.

The only thing I'm less interested in is watching England, but thankfully we don't have two teams that play each other so I can still root for the other team.
