Given the Just Stop Oil group have disrupted the Grand National, snooker at the Crucible, international rugby at Twickenham and the Ashes. I have no doubt they are planning to hit Wimbledon too.

I have a grounds pass for Wimbledon on Thursday through a friend who works at the LTA. Never been before, how likely am I to be able to get a resale ticket for centre court and any tips for a first timer?

 

I wouldn't bother with CC unless you're desperate to see Murray v Tsitsipas.
Plenty of good action on outside courts.
Check order of play and head for the court you fancy.
Get there as early as you can to get a seat.
If in doubt look for Mr IBB. Small man with short hair, intermittently shouting " EAGLES" for no apparent reason.

Four days of match preparation,the emotional energy the player invests.
Physically he'll be fine but that is draining and unsustainable going into the second week.
Why was Dan Evans called for an audible obscenity and not Murray who did so multiple times?
The tournament have got a lot wrong this year.

 

Why do commentators and news outlets call Murray 'Andy Murray' and not 'Sir Andy Murray'?

I'm tempted to ask why they weren't question by security on why they were bringing a jigsaw puzzle with them? I've seen people doing crosswords and even knitting but never a jigsaw

 

I think I heard a commentator say he had opted not to use the title when playing in a tournament.

 

I hope this won't lead to a ban on bringing jigsaws to football stadiums. A trip to Vicarage Road would be unbearable without a flask and a jigsaw

 

Enjoyed my day out yesterday. Managed to watch Wawrinka from good seats on court 3. Couldn't believe how busy it was though. Is it always like that? By about 3pm it was almost impossible to get onto a court (without queueing for 2+hours), walk around the grounds or get a spot on the hill.

 

If you avoid late June and early July it's much quieter
