If it's not the immigrants it's the gays. Gays and lesbians, moving here, adopting children and making them gay in council houses, with Lottery money and EU grants.

 

It's all wrong all these immigrants coming here and shagging people's wives and then becoming policemen and trying to tell us what shops we can and can't shoplift from.

It can't be right, can it?

They need to change these loopholes.

 

The 2011 census shows a population increase of 3.7 million, more than half from outside of the UK. This report was based upon 2001 census figures, but is interesting never the less.

I'm always cautious about these types of statistics as they can be generally massaged to display whatever the author wishes to illustrate, be it with decisions on catagorisation or unfair sampling. Without reading it in detail it's unfair to judge however.

Page 20 is interesting. It shows that for Owner Occupier, Social Tennant & Private Tennant, the average gross hourly pay is larger for foreign born & foreign born arrived in the last 5 years, than for people born in the UK. This would tend to suggest migration of professional people rather than than the popular misconception that low paid eastern europeans are undercutting UK people for jobs.
