My guess is the the Brazilian authorities want him for this mickey mouse competition and are leveraging that against granting permission I bet we don't see him until mid Feb
Exactly. All one pot! It doesn't matter which first 11 can name Deulefeou and which can have Sema as long as they are owned by the project. It's all good!
Can we not just ask the English and Italian authorities to work together on a better schedule for both teams matches, then we can just use the one set of players for both team's fixtures ?
Deulefeu proved himself really good and went that way. Sema proved himself really average-crap and moved this way. Deufeleou was the best player we've had, arguably in the last decade and moved to them. When has that ever happened in reverse? We've been a shop window for fringe players at Udinese to boost their value or give them a chance to play themselves into form, but we've never signed one of their best players. It's not a symbiotic relationship. We are the lesser partner by some margin.
Did that kind of thing ever happen while we were in the PL? If Udinese were relegated and we were in the PL, we'd likely have first dibs on some of their best players.
I guess if they had been relegated and we had stayed up, their better players would have come to us to retain them rather than the other way round ? GD would not have gone from us to Udi if we hadn't been relegated. EDIT - as WT has just said...
I mean...Udinese have been relegated with Pozzo (more than twice!), but either way I'm not sure what your point is?
We gave them Success and that terrible left back. None of our decent players went to Udinese while we were in the Premier League. If Udinese were relegated and we got promoted I very much suspect a couple of their better players may end up here Delefeou was never going to play for us in The Championship Edit - I see @WatfordTalk beat me to it Edit again - I see @The undeniable truth also beat me to it!
Yes, and I think you’re correct in that. They are, after all, Udinese fans. But that’s the deal. We all knew that was the deal. However, by association our fortunes have improved. There’s no denying that, although we’ve come off the buffers and have been run poorly for a number of years now. If that continues I think it’s inevitable that all the good work the Pozzo’s have done will unravel completely. I do now have renewed hope that the new technical director will make a huge difference to us. I just hope it doesn’t rely totally on promotion though.
Didn’t know that - but seems they got relegated in 95 but were in the Champions league a few years later .
Get your facts right, I’ve turned down Udinese several times. I would never go to that nothing (but better culture, weather and lifestyle) team.
Yeah relegated twice for dodgy ****. Absolute filthy monsters. Yeah I had to Google it. I understood they had some proud 'never relegated' record that they broke with us. I don't give a ****. They treat our club like dirt.
At one stage last season Udinese started with 6 ex Watford players in their team. Delefeou wasn't fit enough from his injury to play in the EPL. Serie A suited him to get back to his best.
Another thread clogged up with the same boring monologues that dismantle almost every thread . The same poster(s) repeating the same things , over and over again. It’s like being locked in a car with X fm on full blast and no one will do you the favour of piping in the exhaust to rid you of the misery .
Quite so. We need more of your repetitive whining about people who have a different viewpoint as it adds so much value.
I don't think the UK would need any permission granted from Brazil. He qualifies for a work permit so they'd grant it, then he'd be registered with the FA.
No -but we need international clearance and that has been the hold up since Christmas - the Brazillian FA has to grant it and i can't think of another reason why they are so slow??
The 'international clearance' is surely the transfer of his registration from the Italian FA to our FA? At least that's what I assumed.
