I had the same issue, however I spend a huge amount of time driving between work visits so I have ended up listening to them as audiobooks. on a couple of the James Holland books the narrator is actually al murray. they are definitely worth a read or listen.
OK you are right, you know every stat about football and I just grasp for comparrisons that you in your wisdom dismiss as stupidity. Is that what you want to hear oh wise one.
What kind of response is that? I'm saying there's a CLEAR difference between Saiss's situation and Chalobah's and presented you with facts to back up my point? You're the one who started being patronising with "not sure why you even wanted to make an issue of it." Enjoy your weekend.
You obviously took my "not sure why you even wanted to make an issue of it." out of context, It wasn't meant to be patronising it was more "okay, whatever" Perhaps I also misread your reply, as you appeared to want to labour the point about how wrong I was, hence my grumpy reply. You too have a good weekend
Back training on grass according to Gerrard. I wonder if we're giving him a bit of time to make sure there are no problems with his recovery before bringing him in.
Far too sensible for us. If anything, Gino is waiting for the news that he needs an operation to correct the issue, so we can deduct a few more quid from the price.
Diego Carlos for Villa may be out for a very long time. Hause is the back up LCB apparently. So either Villa sign a new CB if the injury is as bad as it sounds or they keep Hause according to their fans. He would be my third choice LCB anyway. Aslong as we get Greaves or Clarke.
Think he’d be fourth choice behind Mings, Konsa and Chambers but, yep, the Carlos injury probably scuppers any deal for now. Edit - sorry, misread the above as Markoas saying Hause was third choice at Villa.
Hause would be the Samir replacement, Jack Stephens would be the WTE replacement if there is to be one
Gregg Evans, the Athletic’s Villa correspondent had a little more detail re Hause in his article on Diego Carlos’ injury: Another injury or suspension in central defence would leave the team short, especially as Kortney Hause’s move to Watford of the Championshiphas been in the making for some time. The Athletic has been told that transfer is unlikely to be affected by the loss of Diego Carlos. Hause is back in full training after a small operation on a knee injury. He’s expected to play in a development-team game as part of his recovery and will then consider the move to Watford, initially on loan but with a view to it becoming a permanent deal.
For the first property on today’s scrummy show Phil has travelled to Birmingham, gosh, to look at a Hause. Jolly, jolly posh posh, yummy, yummy.
Personally I think Greaves is the one to be after. Looks a real talent and his fee would skyrocket with us.
Not present at Villa’s training ground today apparently https://twitter.com/footballdaily/status/1559490211565998081?s=21&t=a_UYwiQwVnCYfSEejTMcxg
Would he have been present anyway? Seems he doesn't have much of a future at Villa regardless of how advanced our deal is
Good point. Don’t know, particularly with his injury too. But would have thought he’d be around at the training ground one way or another anyway.
Just recovering from knee surgery, can’t imagine he’d be thrown in to training with the first team squad. Plus could be seeing a specialist etc for an update on his fitness before rejoining the group which is supposed to be soon I believe
Looks like a loan deal with obligation to buy https://twitter.com/DanMoroney_/status/1559496896363782146
