My current squad, finished 4th last year and won the Champions League on penalties against Man United. Strengthened by signing Nasri on a free, Michael Mancienne Permanently, Jack Robinson as well to strengthen left back. Still haven't let Doyley go either :)

Haha, I have Alex Chamberlain too, except mine is 38 and backup/going to be a coach.

My staff list is pretty cool tbh.

John Eustace is also my England assistant, and was in the Nigeria set up with me.

Hmm your team seems slightly better than mine. But I guess you are Watford so it's to be expected.

I used to, but forwarded ports are a hell of a lot easier/faster. Nope only the host needs the database, and any amount is fine.. the more the merrier, could be a lot of fun.

Could be fun. Do you know when this is gonna happen?

If everyone who wants to play posts in this format..

    1. YellowKicks

Once we know who wants to play, we'll choose a league and a time to play, and I'm happy to kick things off.

I'd love to play, but it's almost certain that I wold find it difficult to make sure I could play consistently at regular time slots in the near future. Maybe on the next installment in the FM series.

As for my current game, I achieved promotion in the second season - bettering my finish of 7th in season 1. I finished 6th, and ended up beating Burnley and Swansea in the play-offs to secure promotion.

Was a little surprised to see the board offer me a transfer budget of £22m and a wage budget of £226,000 p/w... but hey-ho - tuck in.

Summer signings include, Giuseppe Prestia (one for the future) from Inter for £3.1m, Dan Pudil from Granada for £2.9m as I felt veteran Ian Harte won't cut it in the Prem, Francis Coquelin from Arsenal for £4m as I was getting impatient and needed another centre-mid, Formica from Blackburn for £500k, and Brazilian strikers Barreto (released by Udinese) and Eder (Free Transfer picked up mid season in the Championship.

In addition to the previous season's signings of Diego Polenta, Andrew Driver, Ian Harte, Alex Kacaniklic, Moises and Dani Benitez - I've had a relatively decent opening few games to the Premiership campaign.

    Watford 2-1 Fulham
Nottingham Forest 0-2 Watford (League Cup)
    Tottenham 1-1 Watford
    Aston Villa 2-2 Watford

Got an absolutely horrendous run of 6 games coming up though, with City, Liverpool, Sunderland, Chelsea, Arsenal and United. Got a feeling mid-october to mid-november could be very lean months in terms of point scoring for me.

Taken my local team from the blue square south to the championship in 6 years. Bloody long hard slog. Mainly brought in youngsters, some who i've sold for a bit of profit, others I released (no real financial problem) and others who have formed the basis of my team in its present form.

Mid table in the championship, in October, Watford 20th!!

    Cannot wait for FM13

Sensational team! Robinson becomes a superb LB, one of the best in the world. HOW have you managed to get Balo/ Tevez/ Nasri when its only 2016?! I dare ask, WAGES?!

Sticking with Loach I see ;)

Just started a new unemployed game, didn't get a job for a while this time but finally have been offered the Mansfield job, 18th in the BSP on December 5th, 8 points off the playoffs.

Looking to replace Loach if I can find a good enough keeper to replace him.

CL rules mean I have to have a few home grown players, hence why I still have Doyley, Hodson, Loach Mariappa and signed Ashley Young.

Tevez was a free transfer, intially his wages were only 45k a week (God knows how I got him down from 145k) but to sign a longer contract he's now on higher wages of 79k. Nasri was also a free transfer after his contract at Man City expired, he's on 125k a week. Balotelli was also a free transfer.

Anyone else find it difficult to sell players? Trying to sell Billy Sharp as he doesn't play very often, he has 44 Premier League goals in 70 appearance, with a lot of them coming from the bench. He's 30 now but you'd think someone would bite my hand off when I was offering him as low as £2m!

Selling players i've found is obviously easier when they've played recently and got themselves a bit of interest. So I normally put TL players in for a few weeks to hope to raise interest. With some however asking price is vital, go to high and you'll lose them. A temperamental system for sure. With my current side I have spent a penny on transfer fees, and have just sold 3 players for a fee. Probably released over 6 years a good 25 others.

The more you try and offer players, the more desperate you seem in giving them out, the less likely clubs will take them.

  19. TheDon

    TheDon First Team

It's very irritating and a bit unrealistic that I never receive offers from bigger clubs trying to sign my players despite me finishing top four three seasons running and winning it last season. I'll post my transfers page in a moment

Not the best if I'm honest. Want to sort them out and win the league then I'll probably move on and take a job abroad for more of a challenge. I reckon I can do it in the next seasons.

I know it's a joke, a clause means that Scott Sinclair has match highest earner, didn't think I'd end up doing so well and signing players so now he's on £125k a week.

  26. Prentice

    Your own fault. ;-)

I've won 7 consecutive Premierships, umpteen Champions Leagues, and have the 6 best players in the world in my XI, and I'm in 2032 so lots of inflation to take into account, and my wage bill is £1,000,000 a month!

Haha this happened to me. Signed Andy Carroll for a free transfer on 40k a week, both Steven fletcher and Hodson rocketed :dismay: And they had 10% a year increases!

  29. Prentice

I'll have a look, I always accept the lowest wage I can take but it's about £75K a week for me atm. I'm the club's highest earner.

After a slow start, brought in some of my own players and began to romp up the league table. Resigned Mansfield legend Chris Greenacre as player/assistant at 34, who scored 15 in 17 to take it the last day of the season in going for the play-offs. We went into the final day playing at Wrexham at home, with Grimbsy in 5th on the same amount of points but with a vastly superior goal difference facing champions Macclesfield away. We did what we had to, Greenacre grabbing a hat trick as we won 7-0, Grimbsy were 2-0 with 10 minutes to go with 10 men, and somehow came back to win the game. A brilliant first season though, only losing a couple of games since taking over, next year we will definitely win the league.

Just snapped up an Australian regen who's 19, has finishing and composure of 16, pace, 17, heading 15 as the only stats I can see, he's scored 21 goals in 8 games in the Australian youth league. Looks like I may have unearthed a gem, roll on next season.

Got too love unearthing a gem like that!!

Just taken over at Liverpool. After guiding my non-league side to the Premier League in back to back promotions, the job of Liverpool was too tough to turn down!!

£61k a week, £32m transfer budget and £400k extra for wages.

Started off ripping apart the current squad. Such sh!te players!! Carroll and Downing contracts were to expire, saving an extra £150k while I solde Adebayor, Henderson, Steele (on £40k!!), Jose Enrique, Glen Johnson, Sterling, Ledley, Ruiz, Fuchs, Silvestre and Steppe. This brought in £36m but more importantly, I lost about £700k a week on wages.

Coming in I looked mainly at young wingers/ strikers. Got chamberlain on a free, then Felipe Anderson, Joel Valencia, Sanogo, Lamelaa
nd Beisel. The rest you can see in the screen shot are up and coming youngsters. If any of you are on a relatively new season, BUY YAYA SANOGO!! At Wigan I got him for about £3mill when he was 19, scored nearly 200 goals in 4 seasons and was worth £40mill by the end of it!

How do you do FM print screens? The button seems to take a print screen of a screen behind FM not the actual screen....

You need to put the URL to the image inbetween those two [I MG] boxes (without the gap obviously)

    Code:
    [IMG]http://www.imageshack.us/imageupload.jpg[//IMG]
so it should look something like that.

There is a Tinypic image upload plugin when you reply to a thread. :)

Also Don, my total career earnings is £50M

I had this problem as well. What you have to do is change your game to 'windowed' in preferences and then you can take screen shots of fm.
