The winner of the replay faces a nice long mid week trip to Anfield . https://twitter.com/WatfordFC/status/1753472488988618834?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet
I see the next FA Cup rights are going to TNT and a FTA broadcaster. Guess the latter will get less live TV games though .
So really there is no need for such an outcry just yet unless a deal isn’t struck with a FTA broadcaster.
Coventry have looked half the team Ipswich did. Stupid, suicidal pass inside for the first goal completely killed the game early on, unfortunately. Looking forward to the three hour journey back...
Yes really deserve to win if they can . Leicester beat Bournemouth too. Luton poked the big bear at 3-2?
Well I am sure that result at the Dog Kennel made a few of us smile for the first time in a while. Excellent by Blackburn, pushed Lego Head's boys' all the way. Always been a decent outfit in this division but a bit like us very inconsistent.
Could UAE City really only manage 5? Can’t have been trying very hard. PS United Arab Emirates is an anagram of inebriated amateurs.
Already some saying Eustace could have been our manager . He certainly got Blackburn playing well v Newcastle and I think they have been a good attacking side all season but too open at the back . Eustace has probably come in to provide a mixture of decent forward play with some solidity in defence . They got 6 in the end .
Who cares ? Nice to see Luton hammered but they were only playing their reserves against, surprisingly, a Citeh first team, so they really didn’t care ! Maybe they will be more likely to stay up now focusing on the league, though this might be pretty much guaranteed anyway with the further Everton and NF points deductions to come ?
Interesting watching Southampton at Liverpool. They were probably the better team 1st half. But 2nd I thought they looked lost, unable to break Liverpool's press. They played like us, slowly at the back always a moment from being robbed in your own box. We also would have been beaten I reckon. They can point to missing chances, but if they play like that getting promoted, then they'll finish bottom. Liverpool fielded half the youth team and coasted through.
I didn’t see the game, but I assume Southampton were lucky not to be facing a much stronger Liverpool team and getting the walloping they (and we) were expecting when the draw was made.
Yes it was pretty much Van Dijk/Gomez and the youngsters ( mainly sons of ex players Liverpool have taken from other clubs ..) Didn’t see it all but first half Southampton were the better side and wasted some good opportunities ( Roy Keane having his usual rant about it at HT) Liverpool scored right on half time though and I guess pretty much controlled the second . 2 well taken goals at the end by Neil Dannes’ boy . Liverpool will probably be back to fielding a strong side next round v Man U. Got to think they and City unless they are going go meet in the final unless drawn together before . Maybe Wolves will get to the final this time ..
Terrific finish in the Wolves/Cov cup tie. First one team looked to have snatched it - then the other did.
It's always nice to see Wolves chuck a good lead away in the Cup. "cough"2019"cough". Coventry deserve a lot of plaudits today, excellent performance and showed they are more than ready for a possible promotion if they can get amongst it. Credit to the Championship.
Switched on the lunchtime game. Chelsea in their usual blue. Leicester in what appears to be either very dark navy blue or black with a wide diagonal pale blue stripe. It's very hard to tell the two apart. Almost unwatchable. Leicester have a yellow third kit. Why the heck aren't they wearing that. The people who run football sometimes give the impression they have no idea what they're doing.
That goes for a majority of decision makers inside most clubs as well. I've said many times, if football were run like any other business, huge swarms of people would've been sacked years ago.
