Sure, Millwall were of course playing Burnley and a shame they got a late equaliser. The only truly good result was Sunderland losing though I think they would be an outside bet anyway. As you say it's down to us to win the games in front of us.

 

Current odds probably sum it up fairly well, we’re currently rated joint fifth to reach them, so slightly less likely that it is likely, and yes Boro are a shoo in. We are effectively playing for 3 slots, as even if Sheffield Utd collapse they’ll just swap with Boro. Norwich winning isn’t good as they’re still rated as more likely to reach them than we are:

Getting players back from injury is really making a difference

 

As bad as it sounds I am content with us slugging it out around 6th/7th for a few weeks whilst bilic trys to fine tune the team and get a few more back fit. We are not going to be in the mix for autos.
As GT proved all those years ago, you have to be on form for the last several games, slide up the table, and be "on song" just in time for play offs...
It's a long shot but very possible if we have a fit (ter) squad by end of the month...

No sour grapes, but thought Sheff Utd were a very limited team like us.

 

JP has only been back and starting for the last 3 games.
Sema has only been back and starting for the last 3 games.
Louza has only been back and starting for 1 game.

Both those 3 games were against tough opponents (1st, 2nd and 3rd) - and I don't think we really deserved to lose any of them (and should have probably scraped the win against Burnley).

So not sure why you're linking your attempted point to the last 6 games...

 

I just looked at the form table for 6 games.
Looking at the last 3, we have 4 points. WBA also have 4, Sheffield have 3 so not exactly teams on top form. Sheffield having lost thier previous 2 before playing us.

 

If we can't beat a non-league team what does it say about our promotion hopes?

Now everyone’s level on 34 games played we’re 4pts outside the play-offs.

 

Ended 2-2. Not the worst result in the world.

Meanwhile our Saturday opponent had their 34th 0-0 draw of the season.

 

Which is all well and good if we could manage a semblance of a winning run and just a teensy weensy plan!

 

Is it? I mean, both teams dropped points (I joked with my scummer colleague that I wanted them to win as I wanted an easier tie in the play-offs!), but now there is clear daylight between us and the play-offs

 

Even if we win on Saturday we still won’t break into the top 6. So, after 35 matches we will still be outside the playoff zone. This is all on Gino.
