Despite a promising season and being tipped for great things Hornet player was sold to Lille for £2m.
Cant wait for us to smash these lot as I dont like Frank Skinner or Adrian Chiles. Massive respect for what they did with Big Ron and black players like Cilla Regis in the 80s though.
Good luck to the fair people of Lille with Mooney. I haven't a clue what he's talking about most of the time and I'm fluent in gibberish!
£8.10 for two advance single rail tickets from Leighton Buzzard with my old git's rail card and £10 entrance, £18.10 total, can't go wrong looking forward to it.
Are Brum/London North West offering a meal deal option with a free packet of Werthers as well? I need to get on this gravy train/football combo now.
I think this is largely due to the brave actions of the civil rights movement that happened there in the 60s, especially when Martin Luther King was jailed there.
We are 2nd but have started poorly in terms of performance level. It’s very strange to be saying that, but we’ve been second best in our last two matches. Only an inspired Bachmann has prevented two heavy defeats. We got away with it though, and now I see reason for optimism. Choudhury and Davis are good signings. We’re going to miss Dennis but he can be hit and miss at times. I’m hoping Davis can be a consistent threat centrally. Sarr, Pedro and Davis should still cause plenty of problems to most sides in this league. I watched Birmingham’s defeat at Cardiff. They looked very ineffective. We should really be winning this one, especially if Davis and Choudhury start. I’m hoping we’ll have another new signing by the time we play this match too. It’s all coming together slowly, but I’d like to see us being a lot more in control of games, rather than this backs-to-the-wall stuff.
The squad looks to be taking shape and a few key signings can make a big difference, especially to the "balance" of the team. Our back line is solid with 2 proper FBs. Midfield looks stronger with Choudhury and Kayembe looking like a decent combo. We've got decent choices now up front and I just have a feeling that Davis could be a masterstroke.... OK no Dennis but he's a 100 percenter for 30pct of a game. Right now with Sarr, Davis, Pedro and Manaj we look like we've got goals in us.! Q: will Bayo even get a look in.?
Think this will be much tougher than others have said. Brum we’re poor against Cardiff, but I think they will be much better at home. Teams will raise their game against relegated sides, and may see it as a free hit. Hopefully we can match their commitment, and the extra quality should be enough. I’m going for a 1-1 or for us to win by a goal
We've also scored first in every game this season. It will be interesting how we cope when having to chase a game. It would certainly mean being a lot more attack minded and going for it. Could be interesting to how Edwards will be forced to make changes at the right times.
Travelodge prices have rocketed this year. Used to get a hotel a month or 2 in advance for £32 Flexi rate. This year I've not found one for 4 or 5 months in advance for under £50 for the same hotel, often £60 or £70. Even Feb next year are in the £60s. I'd like to think they're investing in upgrading but the rooms are still shabby and awful. Seems they're cashing in on the staycation situation.
Is Kamara available for this? Wasn't sure on the rules of technical red cards but on the championship fantasy footy game he's not down as unavailable.
The season will only click into gear when cleverley gets dropped, and it's going to take an injury to do it. Much as the same as happened with deeney the other year. Bookmark this post.
I’d love a Manaj winner in this game and our away fans to honour him with the When Johnny comes marching home/Watford’s No.9 chant ….it won’t happen, but I’d love it
